You may have friends help you with any part but the last step which creates the actual part on the list. This you must do yourself.
You may make the items in any order and turn them in to the Judge in any order that you wish.
The Judge will keep all items that she is given to defray the costs of the contest.
The Judge's decision is final.

Upon handing the last one into Judge Marion Teld'Mare you get:

Congratulations. You have passed the test. Please give this scorecard to the coordinator. Be sure to have two places available in your inventory because she will give you either one or two items as your prize.

You have been given: Freshman Fletcher Scorecard

Give the scorecard to Baublie.

Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'Congratulations! That was great work. This trophy is brand new and has yet to evolve. First take your trophy in either your left or right hand then take the certificate that I am also giving you and put it in the appropriate tradeskill container and your trophy will evolve to the proper level for the test you have taken.'

You receive the Beginner Fletcher Trophy and a Freshman Fletcher Certificate. Equip the trophy in your PRIMARY slot, then combine the certificate by itself in a fletching kit and your trophy will evolve to an Freshman Fletcher Trophy.

The trophies are evolving items that also evolve as you craft recipes within a certain non-trivial range (reportedly 100) above your current skill level. Once you pass into the next skill level bracket, the trophy should evolve soon afterward. The trophies can also summon weight-reducing bags like the older trophies. When you take these bags to Jolum in the Bazaar, you get an Essence, and can combine the Essence in a fletching kit to get a permanent weight-reducing bag specific to fletching.

got mine last night. Very expensive quest, you sure feel like you earned something when its over.

longflight javelins is expensive- i did the smithing myself, was only 57 smithing when it was over... the HQ steel ore from vendor cost 57p ea? you need 9 if you dont fail.. plus 10p ea carbon x 9... gnomish heat sources aint cheap either. make a few extra steel bricks and make your laminator blade.

the geerlok laminating device is the kicker. figuring how long it was taking to get fletching to 200, i wasnt about to get my gnome to 200 tinkering just to make this myself. found an expert tinker, comissioned the job, helped gather supplies. he was nice and sold me the device for 2k.

all in all this quest probably cost me 5k. a perfect match to the platinum pieces ive been shooting with my bow.

Most of the Freshman Fletcher Test ingredients are storebought.

Provided that you do the smithing subcombines yourself and don't fail a single combine, you need in total:

Storebought fletching ingredients:
2 Ashwood Bow Staff
2 Bundled Ceramic Arrow Shafts
10 Bundled Wooden Arrow Shafts
8 Elm Bow Staff
10 Field Point Arrowheads
4 Hickory Bow Staff
2 Hooked Arrowheads
3 Linen String
1 Planing Tool
4 Set of Bone Arrow Vanes
4 Several Parabolic Cut Fletchings
4 Several Round Cut Fletchings
9 Silk String
12 Small Groove Nocks
6 Whittling Blade (returned on failure, but not on success)

Storebought smithing ingredients:
15 Gnomish Heat Source (for Small Brick of HQ Steel)
5 High Quality Carbon Powder (for Small Brick of HQ Steel)
5 Small Brick of Refined High Quality Ore (for Small Brick of HQ Steel)
1 Thin Blade Mold (for Laminator Blade)
1 Water Flask (for Laminator Blade)

Other Ingredients:
2 Dry Treant Branch
1 Geerlok Laminating Device
4 Vial of Viscous Mana (for Steel Longflight Javelin Heads)

Fletching subcombine:
2 Runic Longflight Javelin Shafts

Smithing subcombines:
1 File (for Laminator Blade)
1 Laminator Blade
5 Small Brick of HQ Steel (for Laminator Blade and Steel Longflight Javelin Heads)
4 Steel Longflight Javelin Heads

The total cost for the ingredients (except for "other ingredients") with good CHA (approx. 200) is about 292pp. You may get the Dry Treant Branches (2 needed) and the Geerlok Laminating Device in Bazaar, but they are quite expensive!

The hardest combines are the two "Desiccated Treant Laminate" (140 triv); you need a "Laminator Blade" (smithing, 102 triv; several store-bought ingredients), two "Dry Treant Branch" (dropped by lvl 50+ mobs except for the "a protector of the windwillow" in Goru`Kar Mesa who is lvl 36-40) and a "Geerlok Laminating Device" (tinkering, 215 triv) that can be bought in Bazaar 3k++ pp, if you are lucky... Laminator Blade and Geerlok Laminating Device are returned on success or failure.

Note: Instead of the "Dry Treant Branch", you can use a Fallen Dry Treant Branch (ground spawn in Ruins of Takish-Hiz and The Elddar Forest), see recipe on EQ Traders...
