Devan #1: We Need Supplies  

i too was having this problem, but i beat on the gms til one of them found a vegetable bag INSIDE a tent. to the degree that this quest is "broken" or "bugged" this is how. i don't think the bag inside the tent is intended. the other thing i found out is that the vegetable bags or apparently different from the fruit bags, the fruit bags being golden topped (like oranges) and the vegetable bags being silver topped. i didn't actually notice that difference when i completed the quest with my one of the 2 characters that i was 2-boxing, he was just clicking on bags outside the tents like you folks were and he got a vegetable, after which he stopped looking. it was the second toon running through the quest i had a problem with. i didn't see the difference when the vegetable bag was found on the second toon, a gm was running the toon at the time.

Now you only need to loot and deliver 1 of each. Make sure you have food, I didn't and consumed the quest items by the time I reached Devan.

Devan location is: -1610, -570, 28 in Goru`kar Mesa

You say, 'Hail, Devan'

Devan says 'Hello traveler. We are glad to see you. Welcome to our camp. While our [supplies] may be meager, you are welcome to what we have. I will also be happy to [explain] our reason for being here.'

You say, 'supplies'

Devan says 'We find that we are too busy pursuing our cause to gather supplies in the quantity we need. I am sure you understand the importance of our cause. If you are willing to assist us, you could [collect] some supplies for us.'

You say, 'collect'

Devan says 'As I mentioned, Nicoli has managed to deceive many. Because of that he manages to have more supplies than he will ever need. If you would like, go collect some supplies from the Minohten camp. You can achieve these supplies in whatever manner you prefer. When you have returned you will have taken a step towards showing us your trustworthiness.'

You have been assigned the task 'We Need Supplies'.

Task Step:
Steal fruit from the bags in the Minohetn Camp - 0/4 - Goru`Kar Mesa

NOTES: There are many bags in the camp. Two different graphics, one with what appears to be Oranges, the other with just white top. Also, of these, there are two different types, one that is permanent, and one that is a spawn. Neither are trackable or targettable. Also the spawned ones are not like normal ground spawns in that they can not be looted while invisible, or you get the following message:

You know that if you pick up that bag you will become visible. Better to become visible when it's safe and then pick up the bag.

The bags are also not active (i.e. can't pick them up), without being on the appropriate stage of the task. However, you can get aggro from attempting to loot them, and they will disappear if you do get aggro, but you don't get any item from then, when you do not have the quest or on the appropriate stage. Finally, if there is an NPC watching you, while visible, you will get this emote:

You think that one of the nearby Minohtens might be suspicious. You can't grab the bag safely right now.

And if you continue to try or in aggro range to start with, you will get the following messages:

Simu says 'Hey, you! Don't touch that!'
Simu says 'Will these battles never end?'
Simu says 'Will these battles never end?'

Some possible locations (in game versions) for the bags are:

Your Location is -551.35, 1173.38, 89.94
Your Location is -548.32, 1072.84, 87.35

Once you have 4, the next Step appears, which is:

Steal vegetables from the bags in the Minohten Camp - 0/4 - Goru`kar Mesa

Same deal as the fruit in the previous step. Once this step is completed, the next step appears which is:

Steel Beer from the Minohten Camp - 0/1 - Goru`kar Mesa

The Brew barrel is located at:
Your Location is -866.16, 1052.32, 96.04

Unlike the bags, the barrel can be looted without the quest. The following message you get if there hasn't been enough time since the barrel was looted:

The Barrel is empty. Give the still time to make more and try again.

After looting the Beer, the next 3 stages appear, which are:
Deliver 4 Minohten Fruit to Devan - 0/4 - Goru`kar Mesa
Deliver 4 Minohten Vegetables to Devan - 0/4 - Goru`kar Mesa
Deliver 1 Minohten Beer to Devan - 0/1 - Goru`kar Mesa

After completing these steps, the final step appears, which is:

Speak with Devan - 0/1 - Goru`kar Mesa

Hailing Devan, gives this dialogue, which leads to the next Quest in the series:

You say, 'Hail, Devan'

Your task 'We Need Supplies' has been updated.

These supplies will help the Tuffein survive.

You gain experience!!

Devan says 'Thank you. That is very helpful. If you have the time, I will tell you [more] of the minohten.'
