This shared task is the first in a series of three.

You say, 'Hail, Hanook'

Hanook says, 'Greetings Traveler. It is a fine day is it not? Tunare continues to give us the variety that makes life so great to live! I just wish that I did not have such [dreams.] But you probably did not come to talk of my dreams. Did you want to learn about how we [nymphs] came to be?'

You say, 'What of the nymphs?'

Hanook says, 'The story is not too complex, and I can give it to you simply. Tunare loved her children, the Takish-Hiz. Solusek Ro was jealous of her children, so he raised the Serpent Spine to deny the Elddar Forest the water it would need to survive. When Tunare saw what became of her children she wept. Where her tears fell, soon after a Nymph rose from the element where they fell. The Dryads rose from the trees that the tears fell on, the Oread from the stones of the ground, the Potameid from the rivers and ponds, and the Napaea from the grasses they so love. We have each become attuned to the element from which we sprang.'

You say, 'What dreams?'

Hanook says, 'You are so sweet. To be concerned about one you know so little about shows such compassion. The dreams are so troublesome. I keep seeing some of the Tuffein coming here and chopping down the Windwillow! That could not be true! No Satyr would do such a thing, not even the tuffein. But it just will not go away. Will you [help] me confirm if my dream is true?'

You say, 'I will help you.'

Hanook says 'You are so kind. Please go talk with Elder Vasile of the Minohten.'

You have the option to accept 'A Bad Dream' task.

You have been assigned the task 'A Bad Dream'.

  1. Speak with Elder Vasile - Goru`kar Mesa

    You say, 'Hail, Elder Vasile'

Elder Vasile says 'Hanook thinks that this dream is true? Well I do trust her. Though it saddens me, please collect five trinkets from the Tuffein. I will be able to tell if the dream is true from the energy I can feel from them.'

Your task 'A Bad Dream' has been updated.

  2. Loot 5 Tuffein Trinket - Goru`kar Mesa

Your task 'A Bad Dream' has been updated.

  3. Deliver 5 Tuffein Trinket to Elder Vasile - Goru`kar Mesa

Give 5 Tuffein Trinkets to Elder Vasile.

Your task 'A Bad Dream' has been updated.

  4. Speak with Elder Vasile - Goru`kar Mesa

    You say, 'Hail, Elder Vasile'

Elder Vasile says 'Hrm? Oh, sorry. I was concentrating on the trinkets. It seems that Hanook's dream is correct. It seems that there is a tuffein by the name of Glasson has plans to do harm to the Windwillow. She will want to hear this news.'

Your task 'A Bad Dream' has been updated.

  5. Speak with Hanook - Goru`kar Mesa

    You say, 'Hail, Hanook'

Hanook says 'Oh that is horrible! I never thought it was possible that they would do something like this! Please tell me you will help me [more]. I must find why Glasson would do such a thing!'

Your task 'A Bad Dream' has been updated.

It seems that the Tuffein are planning to destroy the Windwillow.

Your faction standing with Nymphs of the Windwillow got better.
Your faction standing with Minohten got better.
Your faction standing with Nymphs of the Darkwater got worse.
    You gain experience!!

This leads into the task 'Oh, No!'.

1) After finishing the quest, make sure that the step "Speak to Hanook" is listed in green in the Quest Journal.

2) Remove the quest.

3) Say "What more can I do?" and you will get the next quest, "Oh No!"

That's definitely a bug. Why haven't thye fixed that. It's part of the Hero's Journey. Not just any quest. Bad impression to give leveling players.

Wait 6 hours

I had to wait for 6 hours to be able for the next task. When I removed this task first time the system didn't give me the next task "Oh No!" after asking "What more can I do?". So, I had to wait :(

This was a pain in the ****. 46 Druid was struggling without a merc, and even with my merc I found it quite annoying. The Tuffeins resist snares more often than not and sing a song that stuns you when you're in range. Also had the same issue with the quest not finishing. I tried removing myself from the shared task and it worked for me.

Just have to let the timer run out on the quest "A Bad dream" befor it will let you move on to the next part, "Oh No!"

or instead of waiting 6 hours you could just remove yourself from the shared task once you complete it

DO NOT remove yourself from the shared task, as suggested above, without first checking that the achievement has updated under Hero's Journey > Advancement > Bring Friends (Mesa 45+) > Hanook - A Bad Dream. I did precisely that and the quest ended without completing, meaning I wasted all that time collecting the required items and had to redo.

The dialog seems to be broken regardless of how you remove yourself from this shared task. After making sure your quest is done and you got credit for it on The Hero's Journey (achieves), just target Hanook and type 'What more can I do?' to get the next part.

This works, when achievement updates, remove the task and type what more can I do?

Can't seem to finish this quest ...

My quest journal says all the stages are complete, and I say "more" to Hannok, but I do not get the followup quest, and the "A Bad Drea"quest keeps ticking down like it is incomplete ...

This is a shared task with an unlimited timer.

I expect it is shared because you have to kill tons to get the emblems...I have killed 35 and not got a one....although before I had taken on the task, I had looted 2 and (ahem) relieved (ie pickpocketed) one of another.
