Anderak can be found at the Druid circle, at -1280, +20.
If you have already completed the task "Scouting Direwind" then you will be offered "The Blighted Animals". You say, 'Hail, Anderak' Anderak says 'I have traveled here from Sunderock to help Vahna combat the [effects] of the Direwind. My kin owe her a great debt for saving the Starshine Hotsprings many years ago. I found her here, rooted in place by Severan the Direwind Caller.' You say `What effects?' Anderak says 'The situation is worse than I thought. There is much work to be done if we are to stem the damage done to this environment.' You have been assigned the task 'The Blighted Animals'. Anderak says 'In the surrounding cliffs you will find many animals, all of which have been exposed to the plague carried on the Direwind. Lay these animals to rest before their plague can spread further.' `It is an unfortunate task, but one that must be done if we are to stem the effects of the Direwind Plague.' Deliver 4 Diseased Bear Hearts to Anderak 4/4 - Direwind Cliffs Deliver 4 Diseased Griffon Hearts to Anderak 4/4 - Direwind Cliffs Deliver 4 Diseased Wolf Hearts to Anderak 4/4 - Direwind Cliffs Anderak smiles as you return. 'Welcome back,' he says. 'I understand that was an unpleasant task, but it needed to be done. Vahna will use these hearts to seek a magical cure for the Direwind plague. Rest up. We have completed this quest, and done the next 2 steps as well. The above quest is very easy, diseased animals drop the heart 100%, and non diseased can drop it as well. You can get 4 griffon hearts in 10 minutes, the 4 wolf hears in 15-20 mins. The bear hears take more time since they are more rare. Because everyone in the grp want it this will take hours.
The 3rd step requires you to kill fungi in the center of the map, along with the named fungi (Arakeen, eater of the dead) on top of the hill.
The 4th step, go northeast to the darkroot caves, and kill more fungi. Also have to kill a rooted named fungi, Moldmaster Gangii there as well. Big fun, the fungi root you all the time, and its unresistable. The vineherder pops with 4 adds which have low hp but each hit up to 2000, and summon even at 100% life, can kill the puller if you are not careful. After the 4th step the quest is over and you get the reward.
It's a 215hp ranged item with the effect mesmerize fungi up to level 72:
Spore of the Freemind Sporali
The item stats are very weak, anyone who can do this have better. And the effect, well, completely useless, the fungi I ever have to kill is of higher level, and I box a chanter anyway. Well, at least, we were not just grinding, but doing something with a goal.

Anyone compleded it and know if finishing it opnes any new quests?
Completed, yes, you get another quest about killing "gardeners" which are the mushrooms in the zone.
How do you get the hearts from the corpses that your suppose to lay to rest?
Cures do not work on them
You cannot attack them
hailing does not work on them..
No spells work on them

nm figured it out, you have to kill creatures like A Diseased Griffon to get the heart from them, these are creatures that are moving not laying down
