Only decent quests in POA for us at the moment are Test of Power (cloak,also for epic) and Test of Mind, which is a decent shoulder item..

Sorry hit enter key by mistake on last entry. I think this is a good item, but why levitate? Most necros have DMF which is a lot better. Or is it just me?

just a thought.....by the time anyone can get this item, it's uses will be limited. While the stats are slightly better than say a golden chitin bracer, it's a tough quest. I found it useless, until I noticed it wasn't NO DROP. So, if some uber is twinking a necro, you could probably sell it for a pretty penny in EC. Just a thought, probably not such a great one, but you never know. I mean, if you can get the itmes easily it'll be worth it. Just my 2c

For the few Iksar necros, like myself, this is a very good item. We can not wear golden chitin bracers (as we can also not wear GEBs) because these are restricted to races that can wear plate (everyone BUT Iksars). So this is about the best we can get without getting TOO uber. I plan on getting myself one of these and a supple scale armband from KC. Otherwise what are my options for decent int wristwear? A ring of the ancients? I mean, it's sad when I'd camp that stupid thing, yet again. But not for the boots, this time. To WEAR. Hehe pretty pathetic but that's life as an Iksar. Iksars are horrid necros pre 50 due to the item restrictions and base int and racial hatrid, ect. Post 50, we are kings, though. The massive jump in natural regen helps a LOT with the lich line of spells.

Posted: Aug 11 2000 at 4:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) These "Test of" things seem to suck for being how hard they are to get. 10 charges of lev? ***** that, I wouldn't even bother doing 90% of the stupid Plane of Air tests, almost all the rewards have stats you don't really care about or sometimes negitive stats. The 5 int could be nice *IF* you still can use the 5 int, but you don't see many of us necro's that high lvl not be at or beyond the 200int mark. OoOoOhhh, 10 mana! Im going to sky tomorrow just for that! BAH! Stupid stats, ac 5, dex 5, agi 5, would be pretty good for a monk or something, but *I* personally wouldn't bother trying to get yet *another* lame item from the Plane of Sky. =)

This item is marginally better than a GCB and a hell of a lot harder (and costlier) to get. I'll stick with my GCBs, thank you.

This test would be mostly beneficial to iksar necros who cant wear GCBs. besides, even if the stats aren't the best in the world, its definately a nice thing to have when someone inspects you, and they see you're wearing something that took a lot of hard work and effort to get. =) The items you get in Quests in Air are definately more valued for the status they carry than the actual stats it seems.
