I doubt this is working as intended, but today we did this task - and could not complete it because after we completed step #3, NO MORE EGGS DROPPED. We had been looting eggs as normal loot along the way, none of which counted towards the 10 (we even tried giving them to each other). This continued for almost 90 minutes before we gave up because we were almost out of time.
I petitioned and we'll see what happens. But in the meantime, since almost nothing in this zone sees inviso, per my guildmates it's better to just run through invisible to get steps 1 and 2 done, and THEN kill things for eggs.

It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Pericolo L`Morte (click for map image) in the Dark Reign camp of the Lavastorm Mountains. Pre-requisites for requesting: - Minimum Level 63 - Minimum "indifferent" faction with Dark Reign Hail him to get a quest selection window pop-up. You have been assigned the task 'Dragon's Egg'. We are seeking some truly fearsome mounts to instill fear in our enemies. I believe the dragons here would work quite well, and I have no doubt that we could train some of those beasts if we raised it from birth. We would be unstoppable! You must find me an egg to start working on immediately. Make your way into the very nest of them and bring me one, get going! Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here. 
Touch the portal to the Nest 0/1 (The Broodlands) The entrance is the dragon portal in the far northeastern part of the Broodlands. Explore the eastern desert hatchery and locate the eggs 0/1 (The Accursed Nest) This step updates near 1550, -150, -173 (this is the easternmost room of the northernmost wing). A named golem ("Earthtouch Guardian") stands at the entrance to the cave. It isn't an essential kill, but it hits for a max ~1,400; has ~46,000 hitpoints; and is stunnable and mezzable. Explore the north western desert hatchery and locate the eggs 0/1 (The Accursed Nest) This step updates near 2300, 1500, -354 (in the northwesternmost room of the same wing). Another "Earthtouch Guardian" is in this area. Loot 10 Ruined Dragon Egg 0/10 (The Accursed Nest) The eggs are a common drop from mobs in the area. Speak with Xeib Darkskies 0/1 (Lavastorm Mountains) You're kidding me, right? All this trouble and you can't find me one single dragon egg? If there aren't any living eggs, that must mean they have been destroyed with the curse. I shall seek some other dreaded beast to tame for our mounts. it is the Dragon Statue in Desert. location is p1177,n1240,p70
for those that don't know the task entrance does show up on the compass as a green line so just turn til you see the line on compass. I am partially color blind so it might not actually be green in color.
