You say, 'Hail, Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs' Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'Are you interested in taking a [test] of your Tradeskill Ability?' You say, 'What test?' Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'I can give you a test of your tradeskill abilities in any of eleven different tradeskills. I can test you on [alchemy], [baking], [brewing], [fletching], [jewelry] making, [poison] making, [pottery], [smithing], spell [research], [tailoring], or [tinkering].' You say, 'Pottery.' She will assign you a task dependent on your skill. The levels appear to be Beginner (50-99), Apprentice (100-149), Freshman (150-199), Journeyman (200-249), Expert (250-299), Master (300). You have been assigned the task 'Master Potter Test'. Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'Ok take this list, make the recipes on it, and give them to the Judge for Approval. Be sure to read all of the rules.' You have been given: Master Potter Scorecard Give the scorecard to Baublie. Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'Congratulations! That was great work. Here is your trophy. This trophy is brand new and has yet to evolve. First take your trophy into your left or right hand, then take the certificate that I am also giving you and put it in the appropriate tradeskill container and your trophy will evolve to the proper level for the test you have taken.' You receive the Beginner Potter Trophy and a Master Potter Certificate. Equip the trophy, then combine the certificate by itself in a kiln and your trophy will evolve to a Master Potter Trophy. The trophies are evolving items that also evolve as you craft recipes within a certain non-trivial range (reportedly 100) above your current skill level. Once you pass into the next skill level bracket, the trophy should evolve soon afterward. The trophies can also summon weight-reducing bags like the older trophies. When you take these bags to Jolum in the Bazaar, you get an Essence, and can combine the Essence in a kiln to get a permanent weight-reducing bag specific to pottery. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I started this quest today and farmed around forever for two ivories. I then actually look at the quest journal and we are only required to make ONE unfired idol not two.
Ivory:
Find someone with the Resupply Agent Veterans AA ... that merchant sells a stack of ivory.

No, he doesn't. Probably you saw him selling some Ivory because someone sold them before.
Unfired Idol [Idol Of The Tribunal]
is the correct IDOL for this quest. (notice this one looks like a cross)

I can confirm its the item ccolligan is talking about. They wouldn't give you this test at 300 skill and expect you to make something at 335 trivial. The trivial is for the item he linked which is 252. Ivory is not easy to find now a days either. None for sale in the bazaar on the cazic-thule server and no imbued ivory for sale either. Had to go to mistmoore to pharm for it and i cleared entire castle 3 times just to get 2 ivory and i think i was lucky at that. EDIT: The last thing i started on this task was the Unfired Black Marble Mortar which has a trivial of 335 so it appears i was wrong about how SoE wouldn't give some one an item to make with more then 300 trivial for the master potter test.

In case you're making "unfired" to help someone out, the task is to create unfired items first, then [make and] deliver the final item to the judge.
(I was going to give my wife all the unfired so she could make the final combines, but....)
It made some sense when I gave it a bit of though... that would be after I piled up all the unfired and got ready to deliver.

Just completed freshman potter trophy at 152 pottery.
Had to make unfired versions and hand in fired versions of:
4 x ceramic lining
2 x dye vial
2 x pot
3 x animal cookie cutter
3 x small bowl
2 x medium bowl
1 x mixing bowl
2 x pearl encrusted stein
2 x poison vial
2 x large bowl
Took 3 hours altogether of which 2 hours were waiting for a chanter to magic some clay for the steins.
after combining certificate in kiln I had 3/7 evolved trophy.
Had to make unfired versions and hand in fired versions of:

am atm doing this quest
I did grab it when PoR came up - my duty list shows 4 unfired crucible of escape to be combined instead of 4 blue ceramic bands, where as I should hand in no crucibles but the ceramic bands.
It also says to create unfired versions of the items and only at hand in the completed ones.
The 2 form of bottles it reads create 4 but the quest reacts on 4 succesfull combines which creates 8 of each cause yield is 2.
Differences could be due to getting the quest on startup of PoR.
Atm I am stuck with the last combine - "Marble Mortar and Pestle" - bottle neck is the "black marble" a quite uncommon drop imho
