There are four pieces of Riftbreaker's armor which you need to obtain in order to zone into Qvic.

    First Piece: Riftbreaker's Belt

Find Tulima in Riwwi (location?). You must have warmly faction with Yunjo Slave Resistance to speak with her. You can raise this faction by killing kyvs, mastruqs, and aneuks in Riwwi.

    You say, 'Hail, Tulima Erandi'

Tulima Erandi breathes a sigh of relief. 'Thank you, ______. I have no doubt that those hynids would have torn me to shreds had you not intervened. The legion is ruthless as it is cruel. They care nothing about their maltreatment of my land or its people.' She leans forward and speaks in a hushed tone, 'Listen up. On my last escape attempt I met up with a yunjo named Dramudi. He swore to me that he had overheard one of the Mastruq describing how to cross the barrier into Qvic, the Prayer Grounds of Calling without the need for fragments of the High Temple. This process is much less treacherous than venturing into the depths of Uqua and Ikkinz, but would require an escort to Qvic for completion. This may affect your decision on whether to pursue this, but the least I can do to repay your kindness is offer you a look. Are you [interested], ______?'

    You say, 'I am interested.'

Your faction standing with Yunjo Slave Resistance got better.

Tulima Erandi slips a Stone Statuette into your palm. 'Give this to Dramudi. When we fled from our captors he carved it for me, as a gift. He will know that I entrusted you with it and give you further information. Farewell, ______. I will attempt to leave this place for good. Pray that I am not recaptured.'

Receive a Carved Stone Statuette. Bring this to a harvester named Dramudi in Barindu (location: +415, -72). You must have warmly faction with Yunjo Slave Resistance and Nihil (one? the other? both? please confirm).

    You say, 'Hail, Harvester Dramudi'

Harvester Dramudi pauses at his work. 'Hold up for a moment. That's the statuette I carved for Tulima! Let me see it, please!'

Give the Statuette to Harvester Dramudi.

Harvester Dramudi says 'So . . . You saved her from a fate worse than death, eh? Thank you. I care little for my own life, but Tulima is precious to me. Her freedom and well-being is worth more than all the platinum in the world. I will tell you what you wish to know. I overheard Mastruq Oltix complaining a few weeks back . . . You see, Oltix is the overseer of the harvesters. He helps run things here but he has great aspirations: ambitions that far exceed his abilities. He wishes to [ascend in the ranks] of the legion and find a place in Qvic among the more powerful Muramites.'

    You gain experience!!

You say, 'Ascend in the ranks?'

Harvester Dramudi says 'From what I was able to gather, this is how it works. The Muramites have organized their forces such that the most powerful and high-ranking officials preside over the temples of Qvic and beyond. They wear [ornamentation] that serves as both badges of accomplishment and as a means to break through the [barrier]. To obtain this ornamentation, they must undergo a series of tests to prove their adeptness in various aspects of strength, loyalty, cunning, and arcane power. Oltix was able to prove his loyalty to the legion without a shadow of a doubt, but his other abilities were found . . . Lacking. He was furious. He screamed and ranted for hours, and I took the opportunity to [eavesdrop].'

    You say, 'Eavesdrop?'

Your faction standing with Nihil got better.

Harvester Dramudi says 'I listened while he fumed and carried on. Oltix has a decorative belt that he earned for demonstrating his loyalty. I've seen it myself. Though one would think he would show pride in his achievement, it only serves to remind him of his successive failures and that he will never realize his aspirations. He's gone nearly mad with rage, blaming everyone but himself for his shortcomings. He takes out his anger and frustration on innocent slaves, _____. I want you to kill him, and I want to know that he died by my blade. Take this stone carving knife and plunge it into his black heart. As for me, I'm going to look for Tulima again. I hope she and I can be reunited. Good luck.'

You receive a Sharpened Stone Blade. Your next target will be Overseer Oltix (location -177, -38) and will have to hit him with the blade. Once you do that, the blade will disappear. Kill the Overseer, loot the Riftbreaker's Belt and weekly report, and head to Kod'Taz.

    Second Piece: Riftbreaker's Right Bracelet

Take the report you looted to Pixtt Nemis in Kod'Taz (location -490, -930). Be prepared for battle and speak to him.

Pixtt Nemis says, 'Aha, thought you could catch me off guard, didn't you? Sem`tach sent assassins but she didn't know I was prepared. Guards, kill them. Kill them all.'

Two guards named "Pixtt Nemis`s Guard" spawn and attack . After killing them, you must kill Nemis. Upon Nemis's death, Pixtt Sem`Tach will spawn immediately. Kill him and loot the Riftbreaker's Right Bracelet.

    Third Piece: Riftbreaker's Left Bracelet

Find and speak with a malicious trusik (location -1090, -1600) in the Primal caves of Yxtta.

You say, 'Hail, a malicious trusik'

a malicious trusik says 'Hail yourself, ______. The mere sight of you disgusts me. You're just like all the rest of them - here seeking honor and glory without giving a second thought to those who were displaced by this invasion. Greed is your motivation. I can see it in your eyes. The only way to get your attention is by waving around artifacts and other magical trinkets. Hmph. No better than the Legion of Mata Muram. Oh, you think you're so different? [Prove to me] that you share nothing in common with the rest of the filthy invaders, then.'

You say, 'I will prove it to you.'

a malicious trusik says 'Very well! You should know beforehand that I have nothing to offer. All you will gain for assisting me is the unwanted attention of some extremely angry Muramites. Perhaps Ikaav Quyes herself would make an appearance if you do the job adequately. Yes, I said adequately. I would expect nothing more from you, ______. From here in this dank cave, there is not much we can do to retaliate against the legion, but the indigenous creatures have given me a wonderful idea. If we were to forge a potent toxin from the denizens of these caverns and used it to poison the water supply in Yxtta, that would get their attention. That would remind the invader scum that we're still here, and that we're not about to let them thrive in comfort while we rot away in the darkness! [Still interested], ______, or do you have more pressing matters to tend to?'

You say, 'I am still interested.'

a malicious trusik wrings her hands, almost unconsciously, 'Yes. This will be quite a treat. Seek out the cragbeast and recover three globules of their bile. The spiders might put up a bit of a fight, but we will need three of their venom sacs. Lastly, you will need to crack open the mandibles of the crag beetles and find three helpings of their spittle. When you have all you need, combine them in this container and return it to me for the final touches.'

You receive a nine-slot container, Reinforced Poison Satchel. You need to collect the following items:

Three Crag Beetle Spittles (crag beetles)
Three Cavern Spider Venom Sacs (dark cavern spiders)
Three Globules of Cragbeast Bile (ravenous cragbeasts)

Combine these in the container and hand the result to the malicious trusik.

a malicious trusik goes to work immediately, extracting toxins from the components you provided. She mixes the results in a vial and presents it at arms length. 'Ugh, this smells horrible. Get it away from me, _____. Stop wasting time standing around here, playing with the beetles. Take this to the statue pouring water into the basin, and prepare for a quick retaliation from the legion. They won't be pleased that their primary source of water has been tainted.'

You receive a Vial of Foul Toxins with which you need to poison the muramite's water source. The east pool statue is at loc +15, +35, -453, a lot of mobs are around this area. This in turn spawns an angry mob: Pixtt Quyes who hits for about 1300. This mob drops the Riftbreaker's Left Bracelet. The pool has about 25 min cool down on it being re-poisoned if your doing this for multiple characters.

    Fourth Piece: Riftbreaker's Binding

The chest piece of Riftbreaker's armor drops from raid encounters in Qvic. Confirmed to have dropped from Cynosure Kvanjji and Iqthinxa Karnkvi. Bring some friends.

Once you have obtained the four armor pieces, equip all four, then zone into Kod'Taz from Natimbi using the Kod'Taz stone and all items will disappear off your body.
The Riftbreaker's bracelets, belt, and binding fuse to your body, giving you permanent access to Qvic, Prayer Grounds of Calling.
The magical barrier protecting Qvic softens as you pass through it.
You have completed achievement: Riftbreakers' Ornaments
You are now flagged for Qvic access.
Your /key should say: You can pass freely through the barrier surrounding Qvic.

We need to insert this step in the final instruction of the quest description:

"Once you have obtained the four armor pieces, equip all four, then zone into Kod'Taz from Natimbi using the Kod'Taz stone and all items will disappear off your body."

Also, with the modern key ring achievements, here are the messages you receive:

The Riftbreaker's bracelets, belt, and binding fuse to your body, giving you permanent access to Qvic, Prayer Grounds of Calling.
The magical barrier protecting Qvic softens as you pass through it.
You have completed achievement: Riftbreakers' Ornaments
Alternate Access, but still requires a raid.

This is honestly a rather silly version of an "Alternate Access" quest, because in order to get the access, you still have to raid....inside the zone you're trying to get access to. Kinda ridiculous and nothing at all like PoP Alternate Access quests which were generally at least doable without having to first be able to get into the zone. I realize there are piggies, but this is still an absurd requirement.

If it was only meant to flag guildies who missed prior raids, then frankly it should be easier, much like Elemental Planes and Time were set up.

Did this quest in OOW on TLP's

I basically multi quested it, the person who talked to the NPC's already did BIC and was good on faction.

    Step 1:
Find Tulima in the NE corner of the colosseum in Riwwi. You must have warmly faction with Yunjo Slave Resistance to speak with her.
Talk to her with the character that has the faction, and get the statue.

Bring this to a harvester named Dramudi in Barindu (location: +415, -72). You must have warmly faction with Nihil
Go through his text with the character that has faction, and recieve a Sharpened Stone Blade.

Equip this blade, and then kill Overseer Oltix
I was able to do this with 70 Bst, 70 Cleric, 66 Bard -- Bst tanked and had like 12k hp with 20hsta and 40hagi - took awhile but was safe.
Slow was a bit annoying to land. A time geared group (tank mainly) could probably do this in era.

Loot the Riftbreaker's Belt to the character you need the flag on.

    Step 2:
Once in KodTaz, the character who has the belt has to talk with the Pixtt Nemis
This fight was easier than Overseer, much less hp.
Loot the Right Bracer to the character you need the flag on.

    Step 3:
The Left Bracelet was pretty easy as well, you didn't need faction to interact with a malicious trusik.
All of the drops are super common in the primal area, can 2-3 man most of these, tank heals and slows, but group would be safer. Careful of the named roamer for BIC.
Fountain area has many roamers, bring enough DPS to keep them down and give time to get to the fountain and channel the item (like 5-10 second cast to summon the named)
You CANNOT do the fountain part in a DZ, I tried
Kill Pixtt Quyes and loot the binding on the character you need the flag on.

    Step 4:
Last piece is from Cynosure Kvanjji or Iqthinxa Karnkvi (Zoo).
Most people 3group these in era, so you should be able to easily piggy in the character and loot it.

Equip all 4 items, and then click the stone into KT, and you will get the achievement and be flagged for Qvic.

All things considered, this back flag was SUPER easy. All of the mobs are triggered / up, and the back flag Cyno part rots 95% of the time.
Put all 4 items on and click on the KT stone.

    Notes and clarifications
    # Jul 07 2007 at 1:36 AM Rating: Decent
Triggering the KT named mob requires only a hail; she doesn't want the report from the Overseer. When you trigger her, she will spawn her 2 guards on your head. Kill those and she activates; kill her and the other named spawns. None of these is anything truly difficult, but have a group ready. Also, due to pathing it might be best to simply do the whole fight in her room.

There is a lockout timer on spawning the Yxtta mob for the final piece. The timer is at least 40 minutes, probably an hour or more (didn't stay long enough to find out). Once you spawn the named, your poison vial disappears, so don't mess this up!

Once you have all 4 pieces, you must equip the 4 Riftbreaker items, then go to Natimbi and click the KT stone. For some odd reason, the quest no longer finishes by zoning from KT to Qvic. By clicking the KT stone, you get the Qvic flag on your keyring, and the Riftbreaker items vanish. You can also use the port NPC in Natimbi to enter the convenient spot in Qvic.
    Raising Yunjo faction
    # Apr 21 2007 at 9:03 AM Rating: Decent
An easy way to raise the faction is to feed the Yunjo in that zone. Stuff to feed the hungry, starved, and thirsty yunjo can be foraged while tuna and saltwater crab can be fished in Natimbi. Doing this I was able to go from glowering dubiously to warmly in a couple of hours. To make any of the tea for the thirsty yunjo you will also have to do the brewing quest in Abysmal sea to be flagged for the combines but I seemed to get the biggest faction hits from the tea, could be because all of the tea I made was stat-food while none of the other food that i made was.

Receive a Carved Stone Statuette. Bring this to a harvester named Dramudi in Barindu (location: +415, -72). You must have warmly faction with Yunjo Slave Resistance and Nihil (one? the other? both? please confirm).

He would not speak to me at Kindly with Nihil faction and Warmly with Yunjo Slave Resistance faction.

Instead it gives me the emote: "Harvester Dramudi pointedly ignores you and continues what he was doing."

I'll check again once I am Warmly / Warmly.

Do Inktua'ta after Alt Qvic, and apon Inktuta complete ( Hail the golem iirc) you will get all 3 pieces.

Please post in the quest write up that the required faction for this quest is both Nihil and Yunjo Slave Resistance. You MUST have warmly with both to complete this, unless you have someone else do the first parts as mentioned in previous posts. Anyway, I went through the whole food turn in thing, ended up warmly, only to find out the Harvester didnt want to speak with me. I didn't scroll down to see it until he wouldn't speak. But, had I known that I would need to kill in GoD for a week to get it, I would have skipped this quest. Instead I did all the food turn ins, and i'm now doing ikky4 =P Please put something up top, like a warning so people know what they are getting in to.

In order to speak to Harvester, you must have warmly Nihil faction only, not Yunjo. However, to speak to Tulima to get the statuette to turn into Harvester, you have to have warmly Yunjo. So in essence, you must have both. Yunjo is far easier to raise with food turn-ins, though. Nihil still requires killing from what I can tell.

nihil is just from killing and perhaps some quest. however nihil is far easier becaues 99% of the mobs you kill are on nihil vs yunjo. they are a very few mobs in riwwi only that give yunjo, food is the only realistic way to complete yunjo. you can get it done in a day if you have enough food and stick to it.

You can complete this without doing the needed faction.Someone who has warmly faction (Yunjo Res.) and who has done at least up to Harvester Dramudi can get dagger from him by saying "Eavesdrop". Once named in Barindu is killed it poofs but someone can just get another one to kill named with. He will drop Rift belt and weekly report. Loot the belt but do NOT loot the Report let the person who has the faction loot it in order to start 2nd event in KT. If you loot it it'll do you no good cause Pixxt Nemis wont take it. When you kill him do the same thing for the next event. I hope this helps

    I can confirm this works.
in summary if you wan't to do Qvic backflag :
    1) have someone with Yunjo Resistance do the 1st part of the quest that is :
    a) get Carved Stone Statuette from Tulima Erandi in Riwwi
    b) give it to Dramudi in Barindu, receive a Sharpened Stone Blade in exchange, equip it
    c) find Overseer Oltix in Barindu, attack it with the Sharpened Stone Blade, it disappears, kill the mob.

then continue the quest normally as if you had faction, because the following parts have no faction requirement !
    2) have the guy with faction loot the Oltix's Weekly Reports and the toon with whom you want the flag loot the Riftbreaker's Belt
    e) go to KT, think to have the Riftbreaker's Belt on your toon, the toon hails Nemis in KT, kill guards, kill Nemis, kill 3rd mob, loot Riftbreaker's Right Bracelet from him.
    f) finish the quest in Yxxta, there is no need to have faction to get the container from 'a malicious trusik', receive Riftbreaker's Left Bracelet after several tasks
    g) finally, hard part is to get Riftbreaker's Binding that drops from any Qvic raid mob.

Sorry update here. You can avid the faction and start the events yourself. You just need to make sure you have the rift pieces on you. like on Pixxt Nemis you need the belt on you as well as the report. Hail and the invite starts. He doesnt take the book so you can cycle him until and get everyone the bracelet who needs.
QViC drop for Alternate QViC access?
    # Feb 05 2006 at 7:38 AM Rating: Decent
My guild is a small guild, and we're not particularly interested in rushing through new recruits, so accessing new zones for us means alternate access quests.

Is it a mistake here that to get alternate access to QViC, you need to get into QViC for the last drop? Our whole guild would love to do this quest.

This is an alternate method for Qvic flagged guilds to flag new apps. It is not intended as a method for whole guilds to skip the normal flagging process.

So yes, a qvic drop is required.
RE: QViC drop for Alternate QViC access?
    # Feb 18 2006 at 11:21 AM Rating: Decent
What it should be is a way for someone to proactively gain access to a zone by the sweat of their brow and the skill of their playing coupled with some serious camping. Instead it's a waste of time. No one does this. No one. It might be a good quest if it flagged the entire group and could be multiquested. I don't believe either to be the case. It's more about reserving specific zones to guilds than anything else. Sony should have a policy of making their developers play the game and do the quests they create.
RE: QViC drop for Alternate QViC access?
    # Feb 19 2006 at 10:41 AM Rating: Excellent
Actually, lots of people do this. My guild has long since finished any sort of GoD flagging, and we rarely even touch Tacvi anymore. I joined recently and am not Qvic flagged. However, I would like to work on the Breakdown in Communication quest. Since Uqua isn't really an option for me, this is how someone who wants to do BiC can get Qvic access. I can easily get 2 groups together and take out Cynosure for the flagged drop. So yes, people do this quest (not to mention the many who do it for their alts so they can kill the M'Shas for Qvic molds). As for your stance on reserving specific zones to guilds, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I like ice cream.

I have to agree with Khorvis. My guild has had MANY new apps get their Qvic flags from this quest.

If your entire guild wants access to Qvic, by the sweat of your brow, then do the Ikkinz progression and Uqua. Once you have done both about 5 times each, you'll see why this quest is really very nice.

This quest is really too easy to allow it to flag a whole group. It's meant to help out guilds that have already put in the time and "sweat" to flag for qvic, and don't want to do it all over for a couple apps.

Right on, Qvic is the reward for much hard work in Ikkinz and then Final showdown with Barxt in Uqua. Takes guilds alot of work, concentration, and performance to get this flag. Anyone that has done time in Uqua knows hehe, and prolly be upset if whole guilds could get flagged via this quest.

Not to mention that when you complete the alternate Qvic access, if you complete Inktuta, when you hail the golem at the end, he gives you the missing sliver's. I know this was bugged when it first came out over a year ago, but I would imagine they've fixed it by now. This would effectively give you all three pieces needed to make Cipher of Txevu. The hard part would be getting into Qvic to loot the Riftseeker's Binding.

Last night we did the first 2 parts of this for our 3 bots. Took about 3 hours to get all 3 through the first 2 sections. Mains were Warrior and 2 Bards, Alts - Rogue, Cleric and Druid. Some of the goat mobs spawn 2 pets and this was the only point where we had much trouble.

We, accidently, found out why you need the knife. If you don't hit the Overseer with the knife he won't have the bracer and the report. Doh! But did pickup the drops for DI spell for Cleric in the meantime and several tongues for the Assistant Researcher Symbol quest. Meldstones in KT camp too. Nice night.

    From walkthrough -
"Once you have obtained the four armor pieces, equip them and zone into Qvic. You are now flagged for Qvic access."

You have to zone into Kod'taz FIRST at the zone before you can get to qvic using Madrona.

Find Tulima in Riwwi (location?). You must have warmly faction with Yunjo Slave Resistance to speak with her. You can raise this faction by killing kyvs, mastruqs, and aneuks in Riwwi.

My question is... Can a person with warmly faction with the slave resistance initiate the dialog and receive the knife.. then proceed to encounter. Once mob is dead, can then someone else loot the quest drop?

    Thanks

When I try to do the riddles and click on the statues, I just receive a yellow text that says this:

The small statue is surrounded by a strange, yet familiar magical aura.

Nothing happens after that, no white text and red text for the riddle. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.
