I still have my 52 Shaman Boggrim on E. Marr server. He's still camped at Goonda in WK. Still has Ally faction with Goonda. I still can't get him to respond further. Still no further news on the Ogre Traitor in Neriak. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any luck?

After completing the captain necklace turn-in with Emissary Glib in the quest "The Emissary", he says: Emissary Glib says 'Oooh!! .. You have dispatched the slayer captain. It will take them time to reorganize the slayers. During this time the froglok foragers can gather more provisions for Guk. Please take this as a token of my people's appreciation. Your standing with my brethren has grown. As for Marda's information.. within Grobb lies my aide, Groak. He was captured. Tell him Glib sent you.' The froglok he refers to is "a prisoner" who's found near the jewelry vendor in Grobb. Say to him, "Glib sent me". You say, 'Hail, a prisoner' a prisoner says 'Rrrribit.. Please, let me go!! I don't want to be eaten!!' You say, 'Glib sent me' a prisoner says 'Liessss. ...Groakk.. I do not believe you!! Bring me proof. Bring me the necklace of a basher!! ..Groakk..' The "proof" he wants is an Intestine Necklace, basically a guaranteed drop from any troll Basher guard.. a prisoner says, 'Groak.. So you are a friend to the froglok. ..Grooakk.. I am soon to die. My precious legs are a delicacy here. Before I go I must contact my brother Grikk. He is a froglok forager in Innothule. Give him this vial. He will know what it means.' You Receive: Empty Vial You gain experience!! Take the vial to Forager Grikk in Innothule Swamp. He is not always up, killing the roaming frogloks outside of Guk spawned him for me after around 15 minutes. You say, 'Hail, Forager Grikk' Forager Grikk says 'Grikk.. Please leave me be. I but a humble forager. My people are starving.' NOTE: This turnin is doable even if Forager Grikk scowls threatening to you, provided he isn't actually attacking you. Forager Grikk says 'grrrikk.. This is Groak's vial!! He must be in danger. Here. Return this liquid to him. Be quick!' Your faction standing with Frogloks of Guk has been adjusted by 1. You gain experience! You receive: Ochre Liquid Take the Ochre Liquid back to the Froglok prisoner in Grobb. a prisoner says, 'Grooak.. You have done much to help me. This will come in handy soon. Thank you. Here is Marda's information. Take it to her. They must know. Farewell. ' The prisoner will then give you one of two different possible notes Tattered Note One possible note involves Zimbittle (a female troll in Innothule Swamp) and how she's teaching the Lizardman Mystics to fight Ogres. Take the note to Marda who will insist you kill Zimbittle: Marda says 'I see you finally decided to return. Hmmm. What is this? Those little hoppers have done well. What!! So the troll scum have been aiding our foes, the lizards!! The lizard mystics are trained by this troll shaman called Zimbittle. Find him!! Kill him. Bring me his shaman pouch!! Now!!' Your faction standing with Shamen of War has been adjusted by 10. You gain experience! You receive a low level spell at this point or a Belt Pouch. Return to her with Zimbittle's Pouch as proof of her death: Marda says ' Ahhh!! Good work. You are a bright one. Now let us see if you can master this spell. Learn it well and may it bring you much glory.' Your faction standing with Shamen of War has been adjusted by 25. You gain experience! You receive another low level spell. Tattered Cloth Note Note: You can technically skip the entire section with the froglok and Marda by simply saying "MUKK" to Dorn B'Dynn with Indifferent+ faction. The other possible note involves Dorn B`Dynn (a dark elf in North Ro). Upon handing this note to Marda: Marda say 'What is this? More information? There seems to be a larger plan in the making. B'Dynn sounds like a Dark Elf name. I do not like the sound of this. You must go quickly to North Ro. Find this Dark Elf. Find out what he knows, any way you can.' Your faction standing with Shamen of War has been adjusted by 20. You gain experience! You receive a low level spell or bag. Dorn B'Dynn is a dark elf located at the Dervish Camp in the middle of North Ro. You say, 'Hail, Dorn B`Dynn' Dorn B`Dynn says 'Just who are you? Do you expect some sort of courteous greeting? I have no time for idle chitchat!! Either you are here to attend to business or you seek shelter, which is it?' You say, ' I am here to attend to business' Dorn B`Dynn says 'So, business is your mission! I have never met you. Who sent you?' You say, 'Zimbittle sent me' Dorn B`Dynn says 'I do not know if I could trust you. You certainly do not look as though you are from Grobb, although your stench does hint of that place. If you are truly sent by Zimbittle, what is the passwrod?' Your faction needs to be at least amiable for Dorn B'Dynn to respond to 'Mukk'. "Okay here goes, the unsolved Ogre Shaman quest (I will be editing it as i go) There really is a story to this. You can skip to the unsolved part below the # # #.
A little background on Dark Elves, Ogres and Trolls (oh my!).
The Dark Elves and Trolls hate the Ogres. This is probably due to jealousy and hatred, that the Ogres at one time were Rallos Zek's master race of super beings he created. The Ogres were cursed and the Rallosian Empire fell, when the Ogres invaded the plane of earth. You can read about this when doing the warrior epic 1.0 and in the books in Crescent Reach.
The Troll quests in Grobb usually give bad Ogre faction and the Ogre quests in Oggok give bad Troll faction. Ogres are KOS close to the bank in Grobb. Trolls are reasonably safe in Oggok if they stay out of the class guild areas.
If you kill the Orc Runner in Butcherblock mountains, he drops the following note
To:
"King Naythox Thex, Continue with your plans to exile the inept Ogres. Emperor Crush has agreed to aid us in our wars. He will require the help of the Indigo Brotherhood to rid him of the traitorous Deathfist Clan of Orcs in the Eastern Antonican region. We shall also continue our supply of arcane knowledge to their agent in Freeport. Ambassador. D'Vinn Crushbone Region"
There are Ogres in the Neriak Foreign Quarter that are being referred to here. And it looks like there maybe another quest line towards the end of the note (the agent in FP."
This is actually part of another quest from Oggok for Ogre warriors that you can get from Lork. It's called the Crude Stein. The rewards are a Crude Stein or Gatorsmash Maul. There is the possibility this quest is related to Dorn's letter from the unsolved quest below.
I hailed Marda (shaman GM in Oggok shaman's guild) when I first made my Ogre shaman back in Kunark days. Realizing that I would have to kill Troll npcs, I decided not to continue with it at that time The name of the first quest is "The Emissary"
Just a few days before LoY expansion went live, I took my 50s High Elf wizard to the swamp and killed the necessary troll npcs needed for "The Emissary" and "Marda's Secret Mission" so my Ogre shaman could loot the quest items including Zimbittle's pouch. I could not complete the quest line the day LoY went live, My shaman was even in Grobb selling to Ootok when the Frogloks invaded.
For a time, Forager Grikk was nowhere to be found. Later on, I did find him after the Trolls got Grobb back. Since with the quest of the Emissary, the Frogloks are asking help from the Ogres. Forager Grikk gives you one of two possible notes to give to Marda and that is the end of the quest. The first note tells Marda that Zimbittle is training lizardman mystics to better kill ogres. The second note mentions Dorn B`Dyn by name and gives the password "MUKK."

Now for the unsolved quest.
But one of the notes talks about Dorn B` Dynn in Nro and Marda sends you to find out about what he is up to.
After killing lots of Halflings in Nektulos Forest for a BBQ cookout, you get to amiable with the Indigo Brotherhood (by doing a repeatable quest).
Then you hail Dorn B`Dynn in Nro at his derv camp. After telling him "Zimbittle sent me" and the password is "Mukk"
Dorn gives you a note
Dorn B'Dynn says 'So you were sent by Zimbittle. Take this note Kraagia of Da Bashers in Grobb. Do not lose the note. If it were to fall into the wrong hands of [Goonda], this whole plan could be disrupted. Now, leave, I can no longer tolerate you foul stench!

Chief Goonda is an Ogre shaman GM, I actually trained my shaman's level 30 specialization with him. Ogre shaman start out with amiable with him and get the above message. He is on Greenblood faction.
I tried to turn the note into Kraagia in Grobb with a Troll warrior and he still refused the note. I don't know when I will get around to increase faction by turning in enough froglok tadpole flesh to get to ally.
Why do I think this quest is doable? Three reasons, two years ago the spelling of Kraagia was changed in game to Kragia to match the npc's real name and the brackets around [enchantment of the stone] were added before that. And before LoY, my shaman couldn't get Forager Grikk to accept the Jar from his brother Groak (a prisoner) in Grobb. Forager Grikk now accepts it so the questline can be completed. So the quest does go somewhere. I don't care what the quest reward is, I just want the story.
My shaman on E. Marr is 52 and is max ally faction with Goonda, still don't get a response or get him to accept Dorn's note. The last time I tried Marda she wouldn't take the note either (still as of 4/20/17)
I haven't toyed around with phrases about the Crystal Shard or the Ogre traitor in Neriak yet. ZAM only shows three npcs that aren't merchants in Neriak Foreign quarter and it doesn't show them dropping anything. But there is the possibility that Uglan in Neriak Foreign Quarter is the Ogre traitor as he is part of the Crude Stein quest.
So that's pretty much where I'm at in the quest, now down to the dirty work."

tried handing the letter to goonda at ally and still no luck, can't seem to find any dialogues on marda or goonda past what's already posted either. The note isn't flagged as a "Quest Item", maybe it's just busted.

The froglok prisoner does indeed have 2 different notes he can give you, the Tattered Note is MUCH more common through (at least in my experience). It took around 15 Ochre Liquid turnins before I finally got the Tattered Cloth Note.
That step is entirely optional it appears though, as simply going to Dorn and saying "Mukk" continues his section of the quest (Marda eats the Tattered Cloth Note and doesn't give you anything to take to Dorn).
I took the Sealed Letter Dorn gives you for saying Mukk to Marda, Kragia, and Chief Goonda but none would accept it at Amiable faction. It is possible a higher faction level is needed though as Indifferent faction wasn't sufficient for the Tattered Cloth Note turnin.

My point to doing this task was to raise OggokCitizens faction. That does not happen anywhere along the quest line.
The item you return to a_prisoner in Grobb is called : Ochre Liquid.
You get a note from a_prisoner and bring it to Marda. Upon turn in:
Marda say 'What is this? More information? There seems to be a larger plan in the making. B'Dyn sounds like a Dark Elf name. I do not like the sound of this. You must go quickly to North Ro. Find this Dark Elf. Find out what he knows, any way you can.

Bloody soe ruined everything with froggy expansion. Old school ogre quests gone.. Loved getting forager bag. =(
The Troll slayers no longer appear in Innothule Swamp. Is this quest broken or what?

As of January 5th 2004, they are spawning. Saw bunches of em near Gukta.
This quest gave me a nice bag that had 10 capacity, 25% weight reducition, but only takes small-sized items. Still, it's quite equal... Dont know if I did the whole quest, but whatever, the bag is better than some lvl 1 spells! =)

I logged in as I was camped at the entrance to Guk-top, and saw Grikk standing at the swamp water's edge; directly straight out of Guk-top. WEll, I killed him and he dropeed an undead froglok tongue (He wasn't undead, though).

a year or so ago u could get a box that was 25% wt reduction as a reward for turning in the intestine necklace to glib...thing is there was a typo and the box was extremely uber b/c of it...anyone know if this has been fixed? if not i'm gonna be me anohter one =P

This quest is stupid! how come it's 4 lvl 9 through 60, and you only get 1st vl shaman spells?
because you should be around that level to A.get xp and B.Kill the things asked to be killed. Duh. Also when your NOT twinked or money is not thrown at you. sometimes you buy only important spells and you can quest ofr others. But yes, Generally it sucks (the reward does) - but the lvl is supposed to be for what you have to kill.

i'm not a twink, and i think this quest stinks. by the time you get to the level required for this quest, you should have plenty of money for any lvl 1 spells you dont have yet. I do believe that some of these quests at lower levels should be revamped to be more appropriate; not necessarily uber, just be worth the troublr to do it, say instead of lvl 1 spells, maybe a lvl 9 spell.

When you take the jar to Grikk in the swamp, you may get a different note which you are supposed to give to Marda in Oggok. The note says something about Dorn B'Dynn in North Ro and when you give it to Marda she tells you to go and get some information out of Dorn. If you go to Dorn you can get a letter from him detailing a conspiracy between the trolls and dark elves to steal a crystal shard from the West Karana ogre encampment. Dorn tells you to give it to Kragia in Da Bashers guild, but that has no effect. If you give it to Goonda I beleive it has no effect; although I think it might. It also has no effect to give the letter to Marda. Either the quest is broken; or I'm wrong about Goonda, or there may be another NPC to give it to.

This quest still works, my shaman finished the Froglok portion the last week of April 2017. I guess I was lucky when doing the quest twice, I got one each of the two notes Groak gives you to turn in to Marda. Either one let's you finish the quest and yes the reward isn't worth it. I have a better write up in the EQ forums about my experience under the Time Locked Progression Servers, in the "Unsolved Mysteries" thread.
The note that mentions Dorn in Nro, when you turn it in, Marda wants you to investigate Dorn and report to her what he is doing.
You will need to be amiable with the Indigo Brotherhood to get Dorn's note to turn in to Kragia and yes, Dorn spells it correctly now instead of the Kraagia spelling above. Kragia will not accept the note. Kragia is a warrior GM and I even did this on a Troll warrior as well, he still refuses the note.
My 52 shaman that's doing this quest raised his Greenblood faction to max ally and tried to turn the note into Chief Goonda in West Karana. Goonda refused the note and basically shoos you away when you ask about [the enchantment of the stone]. Back in PoP days just before LoY there were no quest brackets around those words. Marda still refuses the note.
This quest does have to lead somewhere, some dev went to the trouble of correcting the spelling of Kragia and probably another dev put the brackets in Goonda's speech. Why make any corrections to a broken quest?
Dorn's note mentions an Ogre traitor that's going steal the Crystal Shard (Dark Crystal Easter Egg?) and take it to Neriak Foreign quarter. There is one Ogre npc, who I think is the "Ogre Traitor" his name is Uglan and is part of the "Crude Stein" quest.
I'm in it for the story, the reward most likely will be(knowing my luck)a minor healing spell, one copper or a rusty dagger, I still don't care, I've been dabbling in this for years and would like to finish it. After Agnarr server dies down a bit and I get bored LFG, I'll try and post quest quotes, but most are already in this thread.
