I handed him the bracelet and the plate. But had lost my gem...
... is it possible that if i hand him the gem some time in the future I will get the spell or should i go again from the start...

Nayr Cogswin wanders the Plane of Knowledge in a big circle, sometimes stopping at the Ak'Anon book.
You say, 'Hail, Nayr Cogswin' Nayr Cogswin says 'Hey watch it Human. Never mind, my concentration is broken. I just can't figure out how I am going to do it without help. What would [Rallican] say if he knew how much of a failure I have become.' You say, 'Who is Rallican?' Nayr Cogswin says 'Who is Rallican you say. Take a seat there little one and listen up. Rallican was a good friend of mine he was a tough adventurer whose exploits would have become legendary. For some reason he had the strangest luck, it seemed like nothing could happen to him. He always said that it was his lucky bracer that brought him such luck. Rallican always wore this jewel covered bracer which he called his good luck charm. The bracer was made out of a special metal with a unique gem in the center. While the bracer had no special qualities it was really quite a sight to see. He swore that nothing could happen to him as long as he had it on. . . That's why I refuse to believe something [happened].' You say, 'What happened?' Nayr Cogswin says 'Well Rallican went out on a journey one day. Trusty bracer on his wrist and supplies on his back, he said he was going to find the materials his bracer was made of in hopes that I could make a spell that would summon replicas of the bracer. I never heard from him again. They say his remains were found in Innovation but until I see that bracer as proof I refuse to believe he is gone. Since that day I have been trying to somehow make the spell because that is what he would have wanted me to do, but I have not been able to without those [materials].' You say, 'What materials?' Nayr Cogswin says 'An Oxidized Steel Plate and a Cohesion Gem are what I need to make a Rallican Bracer replica spell. Now that I think about it I will also need a Gallenite Sapphire Bracelet to use as a base. Now I know what you're thinking, strong guy like me should be able to go and collect those ingredients with no problems. Well to tell ya the truth, I am an old little gnome even though I don't look it. So I was hoping that, seeing as how you disturbed me and all, you would be willing to collect those ingredients and bring them back to me. If you do I will make an extra scroll to give to you and you can make bracers of your own providing you are a fellow member of the summoning class.' The oxidized steel plate and cohesion gem are random drops in the Plane of Innovation. Gallenite's Sapphire Bracelet is summoned by the 61st level spell Summon Sapphire Bracelet. Hand these items in. Nayr Cogswin's eyes widen with anticipation as he pulls a small jeweler's kit from his back pocket. Placing the gem and the iron inside Nayr steps back as smoke begins to spew froth from the concoction. 'Hmmm I think I may have worked but we won't know until the smoke clears. Anyways thanks for your help here is your reward as promised. Now I know it may not be an exact replica but at least you will never run out.' Just make sure you already have the Gallenite spell before you go and buy another. the wording here is confusing. The proper items for the hand in are:
Oxidized Steel Plate
Cohesion Gem
Gallenite Sapphire Bracelet (not the spell scroll)
I got the cohesion gem from a group's dead mob in PoI after standing at the ent for only a few minutes. Thanks to Weget on Veeshan and his group. :)

This must be the easiest quest in the world there are three things you need the cohesion gem that's in the PoI, oxidised steel plate know it drops in PoI and people sell it to merchants all the time, and the gallenite sapphire bracelet which is summoned by mages so there you go that's it very very simple!!!!!

These things drop more than just anything else on the Cazic-Thule server. In two hours killing time, I have seen almost 25 drops. One mob had three, several had two. We hada pile of corpses, all with gems. I just wish the Wires and Grease dropped like that!
Took me about 2.5 hours solo'ing on Sol Ro to get the Cohesion gem. Got 2 plates during this time.
It was such a pain to destroy my summoned ring and earring then summon a new bag everytime that a necro asked for the bracelet that I decided to do this quest.
Nayr's route is pretty small actually, he wanders from the Ak'Anon stone north to the second ramp, muttering to himself, then wanders back. Maybe a few minutes each cycle.

They are finally dropping like mad on xev server. Was getting up to 2 per drop,almost nonstop. So it seems they finally fixed the quest

We had a cohesion gem drop off an obsolete unit in Plane of innovation, its no drop too

today I was playing in POI and we played at the zone and the gem was dropping. This was on the test server..

We have been hunting PoI zone for 50+ hours. Set up camp at zone entrance until it becomes too congested, then relocate down the path in either direction. We have killed hundreds of these guys and have never seen the Cohesion Gem drop. We are on Drinal.

What server are you on that they are dropping so often. I have spent 2 days there a total of 12 hours and it hasn't dropped yet. I have killed the rats named tin soldiers you name just about any mob there I've killed it and nothing. What mobs are they on.

Cohesion gems are common as dirt in PoI. ust hunt the zonein for about 2 secodns and youll have a pile of corpses at your feet all with a cohesion gem on them. Ive seen mobs drop 2 at once.

Had it drop in innovation tonight off of a scrounging clockwork at the entrance.

Was the gem a rare drop to find? and is it accually called Cohesion Gem?
Hunted at the PoI entrance last night. For my group it seemed to be an uncommon drop and yes, it is named Cohesion Gem.
