At least not for me, on the Rathe server.

I you hail Aid Fimli now his first answer to your Hail is the same, but when you ask about his duties, he tells you that he is working on a list but is very busy now. No new keywords.

So he does not mention any [favors] anymore. If you ask him anyhow (I wish to do you a favor) he will actually shoe you off with the words: " The only favor you can do for me is to leave me alone! Can't you see I am busy?"

This makes it clear to me that this quest has been obsoleted.

I had an old un-attuned Cloak of Greater Pernicity lying around and tried to give it to Aid Fimli, to see if this hand-in quest still works (see the thread linked in the post below mine) however he then gives the cloak back with the words: "you need to hand in all the items at the same time" or something similar. Very odd, but apparently broken. I have not tried to gather the 4 ingredients, give them to Sanfyrd in Akanon and see if I get note, but I may.

All very confusing. I also notice that Cloaks of Greater Pernicity, if they come available in the Bazaar (seldomly from old Inventories) sell for big money. I sold mine within the hour for 10k. This seems to imply that you can still get a Cloak of Lesser Pernicity for this cloak, since that seems to be a twink item that actually has good value. Unlike the Cloak of Greater Pernicity which is a piece of crap in the days of SoF, considering its reccomended level of 60 and the fact that it is attunable.

So is there some broken way to still exchange this Greater Cloak for the Lesser Cloak? Typical thing was that quickly after I sold my Greater Cloak, a Lesser Cloak became for sale in the Bazaar. Had not seen that one in a year. Price: 45k...... :)

EDIT: I just tried the same with another toon that had an unattuned cloak and she got both the option to " do a favor" and do the hand-in quest!
The only thing I can think of is this: The Troll Beastlord with which I tried the first hand in did not get the new quest nor could do the hand in. I think this is because my Beastlord has done the cloak quest before and has simply sold his old Cloak (back when the Lesser cloak was still the Greater) way back before all this was changed. So now he does not get a second chance for the quest. However I do not understand why he could not hand in *another* Greater Cloak then....

I just finished doing this quest and the reward is cloak of lesser pernicity on January 11, 2008

Then how do you get a cloak of greater pernicity now ?

The cloak of the wise is a temporary rewards for this quest. It is posted on the EQLive site, that the new reward will be a Cloak of Lesser Pernicity, and will have the old stats from the Cloak of Greater Pernicity, before they upped the mana/HP.

Probably will go live next patch.

I can confirm that the reward for this is now the Cloak of the Wise, and I was pretty upset about making the discovery. I reported the change in petition and was given the note from the gnome in Ak Anon, but I am loathe to turn it in to see if they haven't fixed the problem yet. Please report if you've received the correct cloak since Nov 1st. Thanks!

No aquagoblins work for faction still just stand in middel of cmap and they will agro u and pet will kill. after 2 nights i got from kos to amiable with gemchoppers storm guard and emerald warriors =D

only thing with aqua goblins that got nerfed was value of items that drop

Ok i'm a 55 Froglok paladin worshipping mithaniel marr, will i have any problems with any of the turn ins and will i need any potions?

Ok...here we go. This is the hard and fast truth about the turn-in in Ak'anon if you are KOS. I turned in two sets today, (grease, horn, wires, and shard). First toon was a 65 DE/SK/Inny worshiper. Second was a 63 Trl/Shm/CT worshiper. Had a chanter buddy cast Gnome Illusion on both. The Sk was Dubious, and Shm was Indifferent. Both turn in's were successfull. I am going to assume that Gnome Illusion Potions would be just as successfull. If on Xev PST to Sallar or Shaame if you have a question.

I just managed to finish this. Nice!

My problem was that the gnome in Ak'Anon hated my guts. I tried invis, I tried to get a bard. But I don't know any so I ended up doing this:


To the north-east there is a lair of minotaurs and a gnome renegade necro. I went there and let my pet kill everything that moved. This gives you faction with the king of Ak'Anon and the Gem-cutters, both of which Sandefyrd belonges to.
As most will be lvl 50+ nothing in here will give you problems, exept for the lousy pathing which causes your pet to get lost all the time. So keep an eye on it and mem Summon Companion.
I killed the necromancer three times and the minotaur king twice plus a small legion of lesser minotaurs. This brought me from " threatiningly" to doubious with both the guards and Sandefyrd.

He made no objections as I did the hand-ins, and promptly gave me the letter.

I am a 52 erudite necro, and I did not use illutions or charms, just good old-fashioned slaughter. It worked for me...


Btw. the hand-in to Sandefyrd gave me 2% AA xp and the final hand-in got me 1% AA xp.

Just completed this quest with a 55 Human Bard worshipping The Tribunal.

I was apprehensive to everyone in Ak`Anon. Didn't have any problems.
