If you are thinking about doing these quests, DO NOT wast your time. I just spent 3 days straight trying to get these stupid drops, only got 3 large sylvan bat furs, 1 wasp drone sternet and 1 wasp worker tergit. This is a newbie armor quest?? WTF SOE, newbie armor quests drops should be common. I just wasted 3 days and frustraded myself beyond belief.

At the time, you couldn't get better than this for a low level character. What's the difference between the farming the parts for this, and farming for platinum to buy gear from other players? It actually took less time to complete these quests than it did to save up to buy something better, and you had to be a lot higher in level to farm gear drops that were better than the newbie quest armors.
If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?

YOU CAN EITHER BUY IN IN KELTHIN AT A MERCHANT OR YOU CAN GO HUNT IN CLAN CRUSHBONE OFF THE ORCS FOR THE BRICKS
I can't tell you where to buy it (specifing a server helps!) but you should be able to find all you want on the orcs in Crushbone and GFay.

The same crude bronze drops in steamfont of the grikbar kobolds
I have gathered the necessary ingredients to start the process with smelting. Problem is, when I put the brick of bronze and the flask of water into the forge, it tells me it can't smelt these combination of things! Could it be because I bougtht the items rather than picked them up off of mobs?

Don't forget your mold with the brick and water.
Try the other forge in the armory. there are two and one is named and the other is just a forge
I have been killing Gaint Wasps, Giant Bats, etc for quite a while on The Rathe server. I have not come across any of the items needed for this line of quests- does anyone have any suggestions or (as one other post suggested) what are the "real" names of the items needed.
I am just getting frustrated and I can think of better things for me and my High-Elf Paly to do.

Anyone else having trouble getting giant sylvan batfurs and the giant wasp warrior stuff to drop? I've been working on this quest for like 2 weeks now and nada...even made a baby ranger to track the mobs for me and every one i kill drops nothing:( Frustrating:(

Ok there is a slight problem (least on the drinal server) with this quest seems that the quest giver gives you the wrong name of the item you need to get the correct name is tarsus looks like a fungal fiend claw /em shrug. Anyway good luck its fun quest little frustrateing at times but fun none the less

Notice she wants you to get two of them. The plural of any word ending in -us ends in -i. One tarsus, two tarsi; one octopus, two octopi. That's all it is.

It's a bluish color. In between dark blue and light blue. Saw a newbie high elf pally today with a few pieces of it, the armor looks great compared to some of the other armors =)

I'm thinking Tarsi is plural for tarsus. Like fungi/fungus, ignorami/ignoramus... ect..
Armor is nice for the lvl but most parts are way too rare to get. U usually end up killing the same mobs over and over and over. By the time you start they are blue/white conn, so its worth it then but before you have all parts dropped they are already greened out by far. Verant should really balance out drops on some pieces.

High elf and Half elf Paladins can wear this armor. It is not deity specific only race and class.
