You say, 'Hail, Sarialiyn Tranquilsong'

Sarialiyn Tranquilsong says 'Pleased to meet you ______. I am Sarialiyn Tranquilsong, Virtuoso of the Songweavers Kelethin division. I have spent all of my years here in Kelethin training our new recruits to ensure that all are ready to defend themselves once their adventures take them away from the Faydark and beyond. If you are a [young bard of Kelethin] then I might have some exercises for you to complete.'

You say, 'I am a young bard of Kelethin.'

Sarialiyn Tranquilsong says 'Well then you surely must be interested in some of the [training exercises] I have created for all young members of the Songweavers bard guild.'

You say, 'What training exercises?'

Sarialiyn Tranquilsong says 'The training exercises that I speak of are very important in the development of a young bards core abilities. You will have to rely on all of your skills including hunting and gathering to complete these tests but in the end you will be rewarded with a full set of your own armor that you will craft by your own hand. Are you ready to [begin the exercises]?'

You say, 'I am ready to begin the exercises.'

Sarialiyn Tranquilsong says 'Fantastic ______, here is your Melodic Assembly Kit. In this kit you will collect various items from all over the Faydark, Clan Crushbone and in our hometown of Kelethin. You will then combine these items in certain quantities inside your Assembly Kit to create armor materials, which are then placed in a forge with the applicable mold to yield your armor piece. As I provided you with your assembly kit, I can also provide you with the armor molds for Tranquilsong [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. All you must do is simply tell me what armor piece you [want] to craft, and I shall give you the appropriate mold and material recipe.'

You say, 'I want to craft a bracer.'

Sarialiyn Tranquilsong says 'To create your bracer material you will need to combine 1 Brick of Crude Bronze, 1 Giant Wasp Venom Sac, 1 Basilisk Hatchling Hide and 1 Bandage in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Bracer of the Tranquilsong.'

Do not try and use the bandages that you are issued as a new character. Use a dropped bandage or buy one from a vendor.
Bandages or Bandage

these hides kinda suck balls, I killed about 10-12 and only got 1 hide, plus the fact you have to basically have a ranger teammate or atleast someone to actually kill the damn thing while your stunned :( . otherwise this isnt such a bad quest, the wasp sacks can take awhile too, but not so bad since drones carry them. good luck

Crude bronze drops off of the centurions in CB, not a rare drop really, grab a friend and camp the entrance, you can do this around level 5 or 6.

The bandage can be bought for roughly 5 silver off any innkeeper in Kelethin (or another town if you happen to be near one)

The giant wasp venom sac comes off of the wasp drones, it is somewhat rare, have yet to see one off of the warriors or workers, but i would imagine they drop it as well. this is a good item to look for while you get those first couple of levels.

The basilisk hatchling hide is a little tough, the basilisks are around level 8, hit for about 20 damage, but have a nasty 10 second or so stun, bring a partner and probably a tracker too, they seem to be most common around the BB zone line but they can be found near the orc lift/hill too

With a little teamwork i managed to get these with an untwinked level 7 bard... remember to get two of everything if you want two bracers, the mold and material are lore but the bracer itself is not, so get the items for both, make one, then go get a new mold and make new bracer material for the second

Good luck!

drops off basalisk hatchlings, a new mob in GFay. You're best off teaming up with a ranger as they don't see to be very common

Basilisk hatchlings tend to show up near Orc Hill and the Crushbone entrance. Whenever I track in that area I see half a dozen or so on the list.

As an alternative, I would suggest a quick trip over to Steamfont for the Bronze...the Grikbar Kobolds are very accomodating in dropping this without the annoying trains and adds that you can get in CB. Experience is good and the extras (kobold teeth and fur) drop fairly often.

When bored with farming the Kobolds for Bronze (a Kobold camp can be soloed easily at 6, with some difficulty at 5) keep your eyes peeled for infected rats. Fairly common drop off of them is a plague rat tail that sells for almost 2 PP.
