I was in EK getting HQ cat pelts for tailoring---these were droping by the boat load and they are called ruined lion skins

This quest is given by Miltiades Tal`Azroth, a Paladin guildmaster found in the Knights of Thunder guild hall of South Qeynos. It's for Human and Half Elf Paladins who worship Karana.
You say, 'I want to craft the greaves' Miltiades Tal`Azroth says 'Here is your Rainkeepers Greaves Mold. To create your greaves material you will need to combine 4 Bricks of Crude Iron, 2 Ruined Lion Skins, 1 Spider Legs and 1 Bottle in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Greaves of the Rainkeeper.' Bricks of Crude Iron Ore are dropped by gnolls. Ruined Lion Skins are dropped by lions of all types (including those in West Karana). Spider Legs are common drops from spiders. Bottles are vendorbought. Combine those items in the Assembly Kit and then take the result to a forge and combine it with the mold given to you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Is the lion skin the same as pelt?
Here is a compiled list of all the items needed to complete these quests. Hope you find this helpful.
** Note: As with ANY tradeskill, never stack items before you hit combine, make sure each piece is in it's own slot in the assembly kit before you do hit combine. As the questgiver says, you must combine the items in the kit first, then combine the result and the mold the questgiver offers (by saying I want to craft <item>) in a forge. The forge combine is a no fail blacksmithing combine that CAN raise your skill :)
You will require a total of 21 Bricks of Crude Iron (remember a complete set has 2 bracers!)

what do they mean by a bottle? where can i get one?
yes you can buy a bottle in most inns in qeynos, i did. though i am having trouble finding the 2 ruined lion skins, all i get from lions seem to be matted pelts and other pelts or puma skin:(

For ruined lion skins hunt plains lions in West Karana - not the young ones - just a little east of the second tower from Qeynos Hills.
