Garret Zethkog says 'Hail Bertoxslaav! I am Garret Zethkog, first Shadowknight of the Dark Reflection. Long ago I made the journey far to the west to the human city of Qeynos. In the catacombs of the Bloodsabres, human disciples of the Plague Lord, Bertoxxulous, I studied the ways of the Shadowknight. I have returned to Ak'Anon with this knowledge and now tutor young gnomes that have [heard the calling] of the Dark Reflection in the ways of a Dark Knight of Bertoxxulous.' You say, 'I have heard the calling' Garret Zethkog says 'Bertoxxulous has gifted his faithful with the sight of the Dark Reflection, the ability to recognize the power of disease and decay and its importance as a catalyst of change and progress. We Shadowknights of the Dark Reflection are the champions of the Plague Bringer. It is our duty to embrace our gifts and use them to act as the agents of Bertoxxulous, doing his bidding unquestioningly. There are many however who oppose the Plague Lord and his servants. They do not understand the importance of our existence and we must [defend ourselves] against these foes lest they would have us destroyed.' You say, 'how do we defend ourselves?' Garret Zethkog says 'Every young Knight of the Dark Reflection must first learn the basics of combat and acquire a suit of armor to help turn aside the weapons of our enemies. Take this parchment to my sister Mimtia Zethkog and she will assist you in acquiring a set of suitable armor for a young shadownknight. Once you have been suitably outfitted return to me and I will instruct you on your [next task].' Mimtia Zethkog says 'Hail Bertoxslaav! You must be one of Garret's new knights. Garret has asked me to help get you outfitted in a suit of armor to protect you from the weapons of our foes. I have assembled a kit for you that will allow you to construct the armor pieces once you have gathered the necessary components. The required components vary according to which piece of Plague Knight Armor you are planning on assembling. Do you wish to craft a [plague knight helm], a [plague knight bracer], [plague knight gauntlets], [plague knight boots], [plague knight vambraces], [plague knight greaves], or a [plague knight breastplate].' You say, 'I wish to craft a Plague knight breastplate' Mimtia Zethkog says 'To assemble a Plague Knight Breastplate you will need to obtain four bricks of crude bronze and smelt them in a forge with a Water Flask and this Crude Breastplate Mold. Once that is done combine the Crude Bronze Breastplate with a Medium Quality Cat Pelt, a Clockwork Spider Thorax Plate, and a Clockwork Spider Abdomen Plate in the Mail Assembly Kit.' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

stand at the entrance of the mines, facing in, then:
run through, always turning left, if you can't go left, go forwards.. never go right.. eventually you come to a room with about 5 gnomes in, one of them is her.. it's a large circular-ish room on the map, but the gnomes' names aren't listed

Just completed the full set of plague knight armor, and I have some tips for completing these quests (didn't bother with the crappy weapon though):
* bricks of crude bronze drop from the Grikbar kobolds near Ak'anon, although you can usually by them off merchants as well.
* cat pelts come from the various cats roaming the areas around windmills and druid rings.
* clockwork rat sections drop from rogue cleaners (and possibly the obsolete model rats in the Ak'anon mines), and the clockwork spider parts drop from those around the mines in Steamfront. In my experience, the lower level clockwork spiders near the windmills did not drop parts for armor.
Rat plates -- for boots and vambraces -- were the most difficult to get. Clockwork spiders are regularly slaughtered by rangers looking for micro servos, so it is possible to run around the mines at a lower level to collect these items -- but it is more fun to kill them and they provide good experience through level 11 or 12.

This armor is green and looks pretty sharp on my SK gnome. Not having a problem getting the materials off the clockwork spiders, but where are clockwork rats found? Ive been by the mino caves and have yet to see one.
The crude bronze drops off the kobolds and is had a wt of 15 each brick, so dont try to carry more than 6 or your in for a long slow walk back to town! Believe me...I forgot about that when I ventured out for the quest.

Is crude bronze bought or dropped?
Can anyone tell me which clockworks drop the thorax plates and such items needed for these quests? Thanx in advance

I found the clockwork spiders near the minotaur mines dropped them. Just over the hill by the windmills. I set up camp on the side of a mountain and pulled them to my pet. I've found the abdomen, thorax and eye lens in this area so far.
I also found Legs on these Same spiders. I got an Abdomen plate off of a wandering mob at eh Kobold camp near Akanon....unfortunately it was with a character on a different server so I couldn't even log in and loot it :(...
these are very reare drops, I've killed 100 easily and only seen the 1 piece.

i tried to combine the 4 crude bricks and the
mold and the water flask. It said try another forge, i petitioned my problem i would like a answer. This quests look great hate if they all had bugs

Check which forge you're using. You might be using the Akanon forge. Just go around the building near the vendor and theres a normal forge there.
