Okay, Norton keeps coming up that your setup.exe is a virus and constantly quarantines and removes it. So I am not comfortable installing it in my pc.

It's giving a false positive because it's a unknown program to them so it automatically flags it due to the way it reads information from the game. We have submitted the program to the Norton Community and are waiting for them to enter it into their system.

Added these missing dialogues, thanks for sharing it with us. Did a bit of quest cleanup as well, if you see anything that looks wrong let us know. Don't supposed you tried to turnin Deathmaw Scales?

Okay, all quests but the hand in for the Saurek Deathmaw Scales work. I tried handing in in a stack, singly, and even to the Trainee, but nothing works.

2. He doesnt accept either conversation OR the scales. I think if he were correct, there would be SOME indication with all I did.
3. We are not told to give them to Torin, but to find out what happened to him. I think we have to go around and ask about him to others.

Perhaps you need to hand the four deathmaw claws into some other npc to get Torrin's remains. Then you turn that into Tarief?

Torin is a mob located in the mutant section of Echo Caverns. He drops a choker(4 ac and some stats or a brass instrument, 4 dex, 20 hps and bonus to wind instruments). I do not know whether any of these items would trigger anything from the people in Shadeweaver Thicket or whether saying anything to Torin will trigger any quest text. Torin does not respond to hails, bt have not tried any text mentioning names from Shadeweaver.

Might be stupid question , but where is Capt. Tarief located?
I have been working on the Western side of the mtns on Shadeweavers for some time. Torin does not seem to be located in the abandoned graveyard, or near the Arabian looking building in the SouthWest. No ideas where he might be. Combed the catacombs at lower levels (before aggro from the Tegi), and nothing there either. This one's still a mystery.
As far as the scales go, I've probably looted over 100 Saurek, 60 Shredder, and 40 Deathmaw scales total, only have ONE claw beast talon in all that time. The stupid things are rarer than epics, if you ask me.

Well I really wanted to see what the maces were for the claws so I went after deathmaws and Shredders and Mr. Claw Beast a-lot.
I got the death maw mace first.

I believe the claw beast Talon is for the Ghulam leggings
so you give the guy 3 of the same claw and the practice flail? . . . not three of each claw, the talon and the practice flail (11 items) like the quest guy actually asks for?

Is this the quest the Beastlord trainer tells you about, and if so how many claws do you need to give him. I have the shredder claw and still need the deathmaw, clawed beast, and Firefall. Do you turn in the flail and 1 of the claws or what? Any info on how you got the Deathmaw and clawed beast flails will be healpful. And who can use it(Im assuming beastlords can use them too, would seem odd if they couldent)

Yes it is the BL trainers quest. It takes 3 shredder claws ( have 2 still trying to get 3rd ) 3 deathmaw claws ( got the weapon ) 1 Claw beast Talon ( got this one as well ) and 3 firefall claws (still red to me at 18).
Give me the right amount of claws and the flail and get a new weapon, but no xp.

on the assumtion that Torin had been killed I hunted down a lot of Skeleton Hunters.
Seemed Logic, they are apparently Va Shir,
and the quest stuff is Hunters etc.
But handing hin the sharp toothed jawbones in hope of him recognising these as belonging to Torin didn't do a thing.
So the hunt for Torin is still on !

I also went with the assumption that Torin was not going to be found alive, and initially thought that there was a possibility that Torin's remains might drop from a skeletal something. I quickly discarded that approach and concentrated my efforts on Saurek Deathmaws in the hopes that one might cough up his remains, so to speak, only to come up with more Deathmaw Scales that I cannot turn in and no sign of Torin.
However, the idea of a tracker combing the entire zone looking for Torin to turn up alive has some merit. I just would hate for someone to waste all that time only to find that he is a rarish spawn and wanders for a bit before despawning. It certainly would not hurt, I suppose, for someone to pursue this further.
I also have to give some further thought to someone's earlier post about Torin or his remains showing up down some tunnel, maybe in the Paludel Caverns. This is a distinct possibility.

Sent my tracker out to look for Torin and no luck although there was a smelly corpse out there that seemed to be out of place but upon finding him he was a skellie like the rest and at the time did not think anything of it but possibly if killed he might have a clue to what happened to torin?

I've killed smelly corpses with my ranger a few times and if I remeber right, they don't say anything about Torin. Couple be wrong, though, as it's been a while since I was over that way.

Has anyone brought a tracker to the zone and had him search the zone over the mountains where everything is red? I have a ranger and may do some hunting there myself soon. I cant believe how difficult they have made some of these quests and the rarity of so many items for extremely low level rewards. I will post if I find anything.

The boots are not as great as the Gholum(sp?) boots IMO. BUT, they are magical so that you can use kick against the Chitterlings which drop glowing wings (very similar to willowisps) the one I have for lighting right now sells to vender for 3pp. Also can be used to kill willows for the nice money quest.
I'm very impressed by the new expansion... A lot of bugs but with the quests like these and even the weapons, professional lowbies like myself (never can get past level 29 without starting over) can have some decent equipment without twinking.

different quest, but same mobs . . .. has anyone managed to collect the three each of the special claws from the deathmaws, shredders, and firefall saurek's (and the talon from the clawbeast) for the weapon quest?
i and only seen one single claw (no drop, magic item) from a deathmaw, never from the shredders, and who the heck knows when i'll be able to kill a firefall. why do they drop so rarely? Ive spent a couple levels looking for them

Well, the scales off of these guys are uncommon enough, because I still have not picked up four Deathmaw Scales, but I have somehow lucked into getting one each Deathmaw and Shredder claws, but that is all... ONE each in days of killing both types of Saurek. These are at least as rare as the Bloodbulk Carapaces, I guess, if not rarer.
BTW, both of the claws dropped for me in the same general area where I also encountered both of the only two Bloodbulks I have ever seen, which is that region North by NorthWest of the merchants' building, left of the road and up on that plateau along which all the Saureks and many of the other MOBs travel.
That is still a fairly large area to cruise looking for them, but it narrows it down some, I hope. I am going to spend a little time each playing session in the area pounding all the Deathmaw and Shredder Saureks I can find, plus hitting the Claw Beast (as it roams about a bit if not killed when it spawns) whenever I see it, too.
AND while I am doing all of that, I am also hoping against the odds that I will somehow find Trainee Bardigin's long lost, presumed dead buddy, Torin.

After talk to Trainee Bargidin Who ask you to help find his Friend Torin. I have been looking for Torin but have not found him. I think he is either a NPC corpse in the zone or hiding in the caves, but then again I have not been west of the mountians due to my level. If you find Torin Dead or Alive I think you will be able to complete the Quest. Good Luck
The hunting leather sleeves (which you get for 4 shredder scales) are AC5 STR+2 svDisease+2.
On this quest, you should try handing in your scales one at a time, since Tarief hands out the reward for the fourth of any given type of scale he receives, regardless of whether all 4 were received from the same player. This way, if there's some other thing you need to do besides giving him a specific kind of scale, you don't lose all 4, plus, if someone else gives him some number other than four, you can get the reward for fewer scales, and then give your extras to a newb.

I also turned in the scales to the Captain and got the I dont need these you can have them back. To my horror I only got 1 back..so much for all that work. Would love an update if anyone finds more info out. Thank-you

The NPC that tells you about Torin, specifically says Tarief offers a reward for Four Deathmaw scales. This NPC has flawed text then. As the NPC Tarief does not give a reward for those hard to get scales. :/

The deathmaw scale quest isn't bugged i found out from a GM that Captain Tarief is not the NPC you hand them into i have tryed the trainee that tells about the deathmaw scales and he's not the right one but does say something about torin thing you need to find out what happened to him first
