 This task is part of the Stone Cold Summer events that start in August.

You can obtain this task from Waagosh in The Feerrott (old zone) at /way 1765, -1754, 0 on the eastern side of the zone near the walking path. She is on the Find tool (Ctrl+F).

You say, 'Hail, Waagosh'

Waagosh says, 'Oh. Hello there. I didn't see you there. Are you [lost]?'

You say, 'No, I am not lost. I was just admiring your pet.'

Waagosh says, 'Ha. Ha. Ruugz? He's not my pet. I just need him to grow more, before I turn him into [a rug]. '

You say, 'A rug? That's just horrible.'

Waagosh says, 'He has [nice] scaly skin that feels good beneath my feet. The cold scaly skin helps sand off the extra bits between my toes.'

You say, 'That's nice, but did you need to name him?'

Waagosh says, 'Do you want to help [fatten him] up? '

You say, 'No, I do not want to help fatten him up.'

Waagosh says, 'Hrrm. Do you want to find some [replacement skins], to take his place?'

You say, 'Yes. I can find some replacement skins to take Ruugz's place.'

Waagosh says, 'Great. My feet need some help if I am going to finish my [investigations].'

You say, 'What investigations?'

You have been assigned the task 'Skin So Soft [110+]'.

Waagosh says, 'Don't take too long. I would hate to have to finish my work with sore feet. '


Waagosh's feet have been bothering her, and she is looking for help to create a new scaly rug. She thinks it will take too long for Ruugz to grow to size, as she does have her investigation to get back to in the Feerrott.

Head to Western Wastes and hunt wyvern for strips of scaly skin.
Hunt burrowers that also call the wastes home for their sinews.
In Waagosh's rug sewing kit, combine five strips of scaly skin, two rough sinews, one simple sewing needle, and two aligned steel threads into one stitched scaly rug.

  • 1. Loot a few strips of scaly skin 0/5 The Western Wastes (CoV)

    These can drop off a relocated wyvern as well as off a brood caretaker in the tunnels (only the blue caretakers drop it though).


  • 2. Loot a few rough sinews 0/2 The Western Wastes (CoV)

    These dropped off a tunnel burrower and a velious burrower.


  • 3. Craft a new stitched scaly skin rug 0/1 ALL

    In Waagosh's Rug Sewing kit, combine 5x Strip of Scaly Skin, 2 Rough Sinew, 1x Simple Sewing Needle and 2x Aligned Steel Thread.

    You have fashioned the items together to create something new: Stitched Scaly Skin Rug.

  • 4. Deliver the Stitched Scaly Skin Rug 0/1 The Feerrott

    Unfortunately I've procrastinated doing this quest until the very last hours of the event, but if I had more time I'd test this. I'd assume you'd not get your lvl 100 food/drink though? Seems like all you're doing is pulling the lvl 50 one and then doing it which gives a level appropriate food/drink.

    edit: I never got a skin from the red dragon looking brood caretakers, but the blue wyvern brood caretakers did drop them.
