I got my Black Marbles out of DN, though i had to share the 3 that droped with the other priest classes that were there, :( DN is a good place to exp and some real nice drops, only took us one group of 51-55 chars to get what we were after :)

A shame you are so short lived, mortal. But I see potential in you and for that I shall aid you in your calling. Do you wish my aid?' You say, 'I wish your aid' Vylleam Vyaeltor says 'Then I have a set of goals for you. Once you have achieved them, you shall be rewarded with such as these; a helm, a breastplate, armplates, bracers, gauntlets, greaves and boots. May they protect you from your enemies.' You say, 'What about the breastplate?' (Response?) After handing in an Ancient Tarnished Breastplate (random rare drop from Claws of Veeshan mobs in the Temple of Veeshan) and three Black Marbles: Vylleam Vyaeltor smiles warmly as he hands you your reward. 'You have done well, _____.' Your faction standing with Kromzek got better. Your faction standing with Kromrif got better. Your faction standing with King Tormax got better. Get a group of six 55+ and kill Dragons at the entrance to ToV. Also Skyshine is a good place to get ginat faction at lower levels.

The armor drops are devided into 2 categories more or less. Low end and high end.
High end consists of the Keal and ToV armor.
For Keal it the non testing halls Normal dragons and for the ToV it's in the testing halls. The dragons there are of a different faction and according to the followers of Veeshan you should Fear not for the ones who fall will be restored by the great power of Veeshan! Meaning they are ment to die...
The low end armor Thurgdin is found in Keal.
So if u are looking for Dragon quest armor u have it easy Befriend the drawfs by slaying the giants and gain factions with both ToV and Thurg but if u seek Keal the higher AC armor then u need to Kill drarfs and ToV residents.
High end consists of the Keal and ToV armor.

I have crushed marble..Is it simply Black Marble that will work?!

Crushed black marble will not work. Nor flawed or the other varieties. The gem is simply a 'Black Marble'.
At least I'm 99% sure that's what it's named (100% sure crushed won't work). Looking for 3 of these myself as I recently got an ancient tarnished bp.

Crushed will not work, the giant askes for black marble he expects black marble, not crushed. You dont go to a honda dealer and get a buick instead it doesnt work that way, If a quest mob asks for something then thats EXACTLY what he wants. Thats like a petifile workin at a day care!! <somethings you just dont do>
