Note: You can do turn-ins for this quest as low as dubious (he just won't talk to you).

Find Lieutenant Milven at the zone in from WL, go through the first gate, turn right, go up the stairs, he's right there.

You say, 'Hail, Lieutenant Milven'

Lieutenant Milven says 'Hmm, the guards at the gate sent a _____ to assist with the rampant problems? They shall have to be replaced with functional sentries so this does not occur again, but that is another matter for later.'

You say, 'What rampant problems?'

Lieutenant Milven says 'I trust that what is said here will not be repeated to outsiders, yes? Good. For some time now, we've been fortifying our position in the shrine to fend off giant attacks as they come. Though there hasn't been a major engagement between the shrine and the giants for quite some time, there have been strafing runs done by them in an attempt to test us. If you're up for it, I have a mission I need someone new to the shrine to complete.'

You say, 'What mission?'

Lieutenant Milven says 'We've been looking for someone that isn't from the shrine to find some of the giants that have been on these strafing runs and have them eliminated. You're of the perfect ilk because they will not recognize you as a friend to the shrine. Once you pry their steel-plated helms from their cold, dead heads and bring them back to me, your worth will be proven and you may show promise as an ally to the shrine.'

Upon turning in a Giant Warrior Helmet:

Lieutenant Milven says 'Well done, _____. You are proving to be worth the risk of sending a new recruit out on a mission such as this. If you feel this is the type of mission you're best suited for, feel free to slay more of these beasts and return their helmets to me. The fewer giants there are out there, the less chance they can continue their random attacks against us. I also may have another assignment for you if you're interested.'

Your faction standing with Claws of Veeshan has been adjusted by 15.
Your faction standing with Yelinak has been adjusted by 3.
Your faction standing with Kromzek has been adjusted by -7.
You gain experience!!

Frost Giant Toes can be used for fuction up too
# Jan 09 2001 at 5:32 AM Rating: Decent
Frost Giant Toes can be used like Giant Warrior Helms. Giving them to left guard made same faction hits like helms. Just hail and give toes to Sentry Kcor.

PS.: I think it should be posted like separate quest.

#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 19 2001 at 6:11 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) How could you NOT notice? Half the Sentries in Skyshrine have names that are common words, backwards.

also a lot of the sentries have names that are mirror images of each other...or maybe that's the guardians...anywho it's preeeety clever
Faction and location
# Jan 04 2001 at 9:11 AM Rating: Default
Two questions I have been wondering... Are some races/religions have their faction capped at say Dubiously? (ie. my gnome wizard worshiping Sol Ro)

I've killed tons of giants and the dwarves love me, and I don't want to waste more time working on faction here if I can't get it above dubiously. Anyone know?

And second where abouts do these 2 sentries spawn?
Do they wander?

Thanks!

The frost giants (that I assume you've been killing) aren't worth much in the way of faction. The giants to kill are the storm giants in Kael Drakkel, the ones that also hit your KingTormax faction. Kill those for about 2 hours and you'll be indifferent in Skyshrine ;)

Ah, so this druid needs to join a giant killing party in Kael. Thanks for the heads-up.
Giant Warrior Helms

You have to turn in "Giant Warrior Helms" they seem to be a random drop off any giant in Kael Drakkal. I assume more likely to drop from higher level giants but I recieved one from a green giant close to EW zone. I always turn mine into Kcor but I think they can be turned into either one. Also I don't think it effects Kromif faction (only Kromzek), I think that was a mistake of mine.

I got one of those Giant Warrior Helmets from an Elite Frost Giant in the Great Divide.

Yelinak - King of Dragons

Your faction standing with Yelinak got better!

Spelled it wrong when I submitted quest above.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 24 2000 at 4:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Your wrong on this quest. It may be a bug, but I've turned in quite a few helms, and received zero faction boost at all. Both enots and kcor ask you for helms as well as toes, and neither one has given me faction.

Works FINE if at Apprehensive or better; while it can be argued that this is a bug, it DOES work. And for you, as a bard, a snap. :-)
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 24 2000 at 5:45 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) How is he wrong if the mobs flat out ask for the items but don't follow through and reward faction?
RE: Which helment?
# Dec 25 2000 at 11:38 PM Rating: Default
Which helments did you each turn in there are a few that drop in kael? is it the lt helm? or the giant chainmail helm? That may be the problem with no faction
