DoD Level 69 Spell #1: The Lost Notebook

This is the first task in a series of four (the end result being your 69th level spell/tome). It begins with Model XG CVIII and Brovil Pallivineg in Corathus Creep (southeastern part of the zone - location -750, +375).
Cicero's Torn Notebook drops off drachnids in Stoneroot Falls. The first page of the text says to return it to Cicero's assistant, named Model XG CVIII, who's in the southeast corner of Corathus Creep. You say, 'Hail, Model XG CVIII' Model XG CVIII doesn't respond to hails. Hand it the notebook. Model XG CVIII says 'I-dent-if-ied, Cic-er-o's Note-book. Error. Con-tents missing. Sections one through nine un-accounted for. Current location of sections one through nine e-quals. . . unknown. Cicero's current location equals. . . unknown. Error. Initializing shut down. Click. Whirrr. Clunk.' Brovil Pallivineg says 'You got Cicero's old clockwork talking again! How'd you do that? That [hunk of rust] hasn't moved or made a sound in over a hundred years.' Target Brovil to continue the conversation. You say, 'What hunk of rust?' Brovil Pallivineg says 'That there is Cicero's clockwork assistant. He took it everywhere with him when he was researching around here. It hasn't worked since the day Cicero [disappeared].' You say, 'Disappeared?' Brovil Pallivineg says 'Unfortunately, last we saw of Cicero was over two hundred years ago. He ventured off over the waterfall to the south in pursuit of some spelunking sporali migration or some such nonsense. He never came back, although we did find Cicero's clockwork assistant with its cogs and springs tossed about near the lake of Korlach. It was mostly bound up in a thick web and hasn't really worked ever since. We believe Cicero was killed by the drachnids a long time ago, but we've been unable to organize a search party to verify anything. If you can [recover] Cicero's notebook pages, we would reward you as best we can. I'd hate to see Cicero's last great work disappear in this darkness.' You say, 'I will recover the pages.' Brovil Pallivineg says 'Many thanks ______. It will be most welcome to finally know more about poor Cicero's end. See if you can find any trace of Cicero's pages in the drachnid hive. Take any that you find and place them back in his notebook here. If you lose the notebook let me know and I'll see if I can come up with [another] copy for you.' There are three versions of this task: Low-level (for those 67 and below), normal and hard. The only difference between them is the quality of loot and difficulty of mobs. You have been assigned the task 'The Lost Notebook'. You receive Cicero's Notebook, a 10-slot container. If you lose or destroy the container, you can say "another" to Brovil to receive another one. If you say it without the mission, he'll tell you: Brovil Pallivineg says 'I'm sorry, I only have a limited supply of these copies of Cicero's notebook. I can only give them out to someone who is helping to recover the missing pages.' 1.Find the secret entrance to the Hive 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls) In Stoneroot Falls, follow your compass to the instanced zone-in to the Hive. 2. Collect the 9 sections of Cicero's Notebook 0/9 (The Hive) These sections will drop one by one from random mobs in the zone. Make sure to loot as they drop, or else you'll keep getting the same item drop over and over. There are no respawns in this instance and the mobs do not summon (ie, they can be kited). The task completes itself after you loot the ninth item. Optionally, you can combine them in the container received at the beginning of the task to produce Cicero's Reassembled Notebook, and deliver it to Brovil. Everyone in the party receives a Spectacular Image Enchancing Prism + an automatic reward (listed below). As well, a chest spawns at the zone-in with one item in it: Automatic Rewards Normal (low level) - Melee: Hive Sentinel Collar Normal (low level) - Caster: Drachnid Collective Mask Normal - Caster: Hivegrime Stone of Thinking Normal - Melee: Hivegrime Stone of Fury Hard - Caster: Hive Silk Mask Hard - Melee: Drachnid Skin Necklace Low Level Drachnid Cocoon Secretion Hardened Chitin Helmet Molted Drachnid Arms Normal Blood Rage Choker Cocoon Skin Arms Dark Web Mask Damaged Expedition 328 Miner's Hat Hive Warden's Choker Wall Climber Ring Web Weaver Chain Vest Hard Blood Defender Crystalline Webbing of Musing Crystalline Webbing of Wrath Drachnid Soother Hardened Chitin Breastplate Random Zonewide Rare Drops Hard - Drachnid Amice of Malice Hard - Drachnid Leg Normal - Drachnid Tendril Ring Normal - Gory Belt Completion of this task leads into the next task in the series, "Cavern Botany". I have done the normal misson twice and Wall Climber Ring was the chest drop both times.

I have solo'd the mission 2 times and completed it 6 more times with a group on Druzzil Ro. All missions were on hard. Here is the loot we saw...
Chest Loot
2 Drachnid Soother - both destroyed

1 Hardened Chitin Breastplate
2 Crystalline Webbing of Musing
1 +35 attack aug (can't remember name)

1 +75 HP aug (was called drachnid something...can't remember name)
1 very nice bst/mnk claws 17dmg/19dly +180 HP and other comparable stats (can't remember name)
The solo exp in this place is the best I've ever seen. Beats the crap out of the nest. I used my exp vet reward during the 2nd time I solo'd it and I ended up getting 11 AA by the time I finished(took around 3 1/2 hours).
Make sure you check bodies after each kill. The same book will keep dropping until you loot it. Looting two of the same book still only counts as one book.

They are snareable and can be rotted. They're very fast when snare is resisted, so be careful. Casters will sometimes dispell themselves until snare gets dispelled, so watch out for that.

Hardened Chitin Breastplate was the chest loot from the HARD mission of this. Hive silk mask was the caster reward for hard version also. Both are on Lucy.

Blood Defender was a chest loot from the hard version of this mission.

I took a group of level 70s, 2 necros, 2 rogues and a bard bot for playing mana song and curing the root dot(nasty but I believe this is a either a proc or point blank as only the rogues got hit with it)half way through we added a shammy to the task. Normal version mobs are level 72 hit for 1500ish. Got 4 pages off the yard mobs then started pulling the towers. Pulled the drachnids from the towers with snare, if you don't keep line of site on the snared mob it will warp on you. The instanced version apparently doesn't have the little spider traps the regular version of the zone has. Took about 2 1/2 hours to complete.

I've done this mission about 6-8 times. Still hoping for a silk drop...

i recieved a drachnidskin somthing necklace, liek 14 ac, 7 str 10 stam 140hp some other stats or somthing i got no aug and won hard :( and got prism
