There is an NPC named Ged Twigborn who hangs around another NPC and they will wander the forest at times. I usually see them in one of two places: either along the same wall as the zone to the commonlands, or by turning on the path off the main road from the sign pointing towards Freeport.
Ged will make you some gloves for a price. The lionskin gloves cost 96 gold and a high quality lion skin. In order to get the lionskin gloves, you need a high faction with Ged, which you can get by killing Shralok Orcs in the Forest. High Quality Lion Skins are dropped by Highland Lions in EK. I have been told that a tiger spawns some times in the south west corner of Kith forest near the orc spawn and gives a high quality skin as well. Ged Twigborn and Irin Lunis wander Kithicor Forest together. I'm not sure of their entire path but their pass does cross just below High Pass. You say, "Hail, Ged Twigborn" Ged Twigborn says, "Hello, ______. What brings you to this neck of the woods? You must have heard of my expert tanning skills. I craft some of the finest skin garments this side of Highpass Hold." You say, "What skin garments?" Ged Twigborn says, "Gloves are my speciality. I make four varieties: ratskin, wolfskin, bearskin, and my most sought after type, lionskin." You say, "What lionskin gloves?" Ged Twigborn says, "Interested in the best, are you? Well, it will cost you. In addition to a high quality lionskin, I require payment of 96 gold pieces for me to craft you my exquisite lionskin gloves. Search the northern plains of Karana for highland lions as their skins are the most supple." | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

It's not like you have much of a choice where lions are concerned... they don't seem to know that Druids and Rangers are supposed to be their friends. If it's a choice between being in character and dying to a lion attacking me.... I think I'd rather stay alive.

<laugh> my friend, killing animals as a druid will not make you KoS with druids, its just out of charecter so most tend not to kill animals if they are a ranger or druid...

Are cats consittered animals? If so will this make druids KoS you?

Wolves and bears are friendly. but Lions are KoS to ranger/druid.
