You say, 'skull' Yiz Pon says 'The skull of Wun Toque! I have found it. And have learned the location of its eyes! But now the [beasts] have it and I must flee...' You say, 'beasts' Yiz Pon says 'Here... No time left... Take this please... My brother [Hyrill] is staying in [Freeport]. Please... Ugh... Must keep moving...' You say, 'Hyrill' Yiz Pon says 'There is no time... must keep moving... ugh.' You say, 'Freeport' Yiz Pon says 'There is no time... must keep moving... ugh.' Yiz Pon will ask you to deliver a note to his brother in Freeport named Hyrill Pon. Yiz is running from Splitpaw and some beast is after him. He gives you a Torn Parchment. a Splitpaw Assassin will attack Yiz, kill the assassin and loot a Hollow Skull (container with two slots) before you leave a Splitpaw assassin says 'You cannot escape the claws of Splitpaw! Yiz Pon says 'He has found me! Help meeeeeee!' Yiz Pon says 'Leave me be! I have friends all over the Commonlands who will avenge me!' Killing the Splitpaw assassin gives the following faction hits Your faction standing with Split Paw Clan has been adjusted by -25. Your faction standing with Guards of Qeynos has been adjusted by 3. Your faction standing with Sabertooths of Blackburrow has been adjusted by -3. Your faction standing with Karana Residents has been adjusted by 3. Apparently Yiz stole this skull in Splitpaw, but then he gave it to assassin to stop hunting him. However, the assassin is still trying to kill him. Reading the note will provide you with hints as to where to find further quest pieces. You may go after them now or after you speak to Hyril in Freeport. Take the note from Yiz to his brother Hyrill Pon in West Freeport. You say, 'Hail, Hyrill Pon' Hyrill Pon says 'What do you want? Leave me be! Can't a man [drown his sorrows] in peace!?' You say, 'drown his sorrows' Hyrill Pon says 'I can buy my own drinks, thank you. Now, leave me alone.' You say, 'I have a letter for you from your brother Yiz Pon.' Hyrill Pon says 'My brother Yiz?! That worthless hunk of orc dung... Last I heard, he was still searching for those [blasted eyes].' You say, 'blasted eyes' Hyrill Pon says 'That is none of your business, bub!' Give him the torn parchment you received from Yiz Hyrill Pon says 'Peh! He thinks this old skull he found is a legendary skull of Wun Toque. It is said, a wizard who possesses one is granted power and intelligence far beyond those of his peers. Yiz was searching for the skull's missing ruby eyes. It seems he found the location of the first eye. Hmm... Lynuga... Lynuga... I think I have heard that name before... Yeah! Now I remember. I met her in the Foreign Quarter of Neria... um... Highpass Hold. She was there trying to hawk some stolen gems! I think she mumbled something about going home to Grobb. I sure don't have time to track her down.' Your faction standing with Commons Residents has been adjusted by 10. Your faction standing with The Freeport Militia has been adjusted by 2. Your faction standing with Knights of Truth has been adjusted by 2. Your faction standing with Priests of Marr has been adjusted by 1. You now have to find two ruby eyes which need to be combined in the Hollow Skull container. The first eye is found on Lynuga in Innothule Swamp. She is a 32nd level Troll Shaman and doesn't present an easy fight. Loot a 'Large Ruby' from her (gives a +1 INT bonus when worn). The second eye is called a 'Ruby Pendant' and can be found on a gnoll shaman named Kurrpok Splitpaw who spawns in South Karana. Put the two ruby eyes in the Hollow Skull and hit combine. This will turn into a Jewelled Skull, which is a half decent held item. Give the Jeweled Skull to Hyrill Pon Hyrill Pon says 'You found it!? My sap of a brother was right after all! I sure don't want that thing. It sends shivers down my spine just holding it. Here. Take it!' He gives you back the Jeweled Skull Your faction standing with Commons Residents has been adjusted by 100. Your faction standing with The Freeport Militia has been adjusted by 25. Your faction standing with Knights of Truth has been adjusted by 25. Your faction standing with Priests of Marr has been adjusted by 15. If you give him the Jeweled Skull again he will keep it and give you a bit more faction. Hyrill Pon says 'Hmmm. On second thought, I might be able to get a good price for this in Neria... um... There can be no question that killing all the frogloks and other critters on the island directly infront of upper guk entrance will get Nyunga to spawn. In 30 min., of fairly constant killing two troll slayer types spawned and then Nyunga appeared behind me and started slugging away. She took one ice comet and a lesser spell. Her HP appear to be about 1500-1600. She hits for up to 77. This one didnt cast at all but I am told she is caster or warrior.

I never even saw Yiz but as a level 37 or so druid i picked up the assassin on tracking right near the northern edge of the NK/WK border. Having never heard of such a creature i decided to hunt him but it took me almost half an hour to find him. He kept hiding and reappearing in a different spot. Another druid who was higher than me was also running around looking for him and it was ridiculous. I would see him and cast snare but he would vanish before the spell was cast and i would get the target out of range message. Our tracking was sending us in circles but finally i saw him and snared him before he took off and i then killed him. I got the skull but it wasn't worth the effort as a druid :)

heh, ya same thing happened to me too he kept on evading my snare as well. lol but I finally nailed that sucker

They sell to a merchant for like 5pp. Not bad considering how much they under-pay for things. It didn't appear in the merchants inventory for re-sale, so I have no idea what a merchant would sell one for. My guess is around 40-50pp.

I camped Yiz at the locations given below for about 6 hours, not one Yiz spawn. Then porting to WK after a guild event, i stepped off the wizzie platform, went north for about 5 secs, and there was the assassin!!! Killed him, got the skull, then went to paw, Kurpok spawns every 35 mins. Lyguna started this whole thing off by attacking me when i went to guk, so I have no info on her.

I found Yiz Pon and hailed him . . . and then TWO Splitpaw Assassins appeared . . . one I could have handled, but two blue cons and I was oom and had to zone. I found Yiz by tracking. I have no idea on his spawn rate.

Just found what appears to be the hollow skull for this quest.. it was on a skeleton cook, 1 level down from the main entrance.. it was like low teens in level

I found Yiz on track in the very east of West Karana. He was travelling from the south up to the north near the bandits in the mountains (not the ones in the west) The assassin was an easy kill at lev 29. The note seemed to be the trigger for the assassin and it was given when you ask about his brother

Anybody know what this crystal is for? It dropped in Infected Paw. I found it lying on the ground in the first room. It's magic lore no drop weight 10. Is this part of the same quest for the Jeweled Skull?
That is for a Velious quest for a very nice item. Dont rember specfics but quest is givin in a underground zone with talking rock creatures genosomthingorother i think.

It is for the phenocryst focus quest. Easy quest, nice reward. +10int +40mana +5magic save +3 other saves +3cha +3dex 5ac looks like a glowing black stone when you wear it

What did you do to get the large ruby? We camped Innothule near the Guk zone for 3 hours last night. Did you have to do anything special to get Lynuga to spawn?

I have been in Paw today with some guildmates, we killed the executioner and shortly after this Kurrpok spawned, easy kill and he dropped the Ruby Pendant.

Yesterday I camped her for about 1hour and I was with a druid so after a hour we had her on track and 2 minute after she was dead. I think her phs are troll slayer and maybe clearing the mob around guk may help to make her spawn but a friend told me she was random so I guess you guy had just badluck I played about 4 hour in Innothule and saw her twice already.

I have horrible faction with humans, is he like one of those guards who kill people on sight? and also do we have to give the note to his brother in freeport to be able to continue with the quest?

Not quite sure about the faction. i imagine you wouldnt me kos, if you are, im sure you could just follow him till the gnolls come then kill the gnolls and him, hes only lvl 5, and i dont think you have to do the freeport part to get the actually skull, just get the container, the two items and hit combine

after serching the entire zone for this guy for a whole week someone finally told me were he spawns. i went there and saw a group of people kill him. He spawns at the very North East corner of the zone, almost on the path. as soon as he spawned he started walking west. to find him id just sit quite close to the nk zone. and along the path and you should see him. i just wish i new this a week ago

The skull has been changed slightly...now SV Magic +5 has been added to it and Iskars can use it.
In case people are curious...the eyes ID'd as Eye of Toque and Eye of Wun....whoever they are.
By the way, I found Yiz just standing on the hill NE of the first inn...just a bit above the path.

I got a hollow skull from the Undead Cook in Kurn, is this for the same quest?

I also found a hollow skull by killing an undead cook someone told me you have to put certain gems that you find in Kurn in the skull. I am not sure where it goes from there. So far I have looted one emerald but that is all.

Nobody really seems to know what the Kurn ones are for. They are lore items, no drop, 4 slots and has a combine button and weighs 1.0 I think. I heard that you should kill the Burynai Forager that sometimes roams the halls of Kurn´s tower. From him you can get a tounge, and two eyes -- that would make sense right? It would seem pretty straightforward that you put those items in the hollow skull, but noone knows what the fourth item should be.. I think I´ll just put the skull in a bank until somebody figures out what to do with it.

the 4 fingers from the Fingered skeleton do NOT go with that Hollow skull found in kurns. you are thinking of the iksar monk shackle of Rock quest. The 4 fingers go into the container from the dancing skeleton in TD called a Hand with one thumb.

Last Night in Neriak I saw something called a Large Ruby on a merchant, and it appeared to be in her static inventory (above it were weapons i think, and below it a buckler and bandages). I didn't look to see if it had 1 int on it.. but in any case, cost was 212pp so even though combining the wrong items no longer destroys them, this may not be worth experimenting with

Does Lyunga still spawn? I spent many a day in Innothule looking for her. A kept my newbie Troll there for about 4 levels in from of Guk (where she used to spawn), just to never see her. Does she now spawn somewhere else?

I was in inno last night, and she spawned twice in about an hour. She was near the entrance to guk. Thankfully a ton of low level trolls were around, and gave me the loc. Both times, she was with in visible range from guk entrance.

I found her on the Island right in front of Guk, I was using my lvl 9 ogre so I loaded my mage up ran her from fp and Lyunga was still standing in the same spot. I also found that she conned high for her hp's with 1 lvl 39 fire spell she was running from me and she conned blue.

After spending 7 EQ days in WK, I had not one encounter with Yiz Pon. I primarily scouted the area near the NK zone, because this is where most sightings have been.
Is there a spawn rate for him, or could someone identify a spot that would possibly bring about better results? Thanks in advance.

I dont think the spawn is very long. the group who was hunting at his spawn couldnt loot anymore of the hollow skull containers, each of them had one and there lore, and right after i payed one of them for one of the containers, the guy spwaned, then two of the gnolls came and both dropped the container. He spawns in the very very NE conerner of the zone almost right on the path

it seem to be crazy but i found a large ruby on a large phiranha in rivervale little river, i was camping them. i kill close to 300 time those fish for have the large ruby.

That ruby is for a roque quest in Rivervale.

There is no PH. As soon as he pops, Executioner starts to beat him to death.
Its a good idea to kill Exec and Judge before pop to keep things esay, wait for pop, kill kurrpok and then evac.
You go there invis'ed and wait in north corner but ennought away from doors leading to named.
We only killed 6 mobs.
Tipunch lvl 40 Bard on Karana.

Yes, he's still there. The group I was with killed him last night on E'ci.
I'm sorry I didn't /con him. But, we were a group of mid 30s lower 40s.
And he died pretty easy.
