Hailing Tobart Dirkins gives the start of the quest, giving him 1 platinum to gets the mug for that bar. (Broken Glacier)
Talking to Doogle gets no result, but by trial and error if you hand him 3 gold, you get his mug. (Doogle's Drinks)
Hailing Petcas Coldbeard has no dialogue, but mentioning the souvenir mugs and he'll say to give Adia 5 gold for it. (The Icy Mug)
Hailing Loremaster Fronden yields nothing, but handing him 1 platinum gets you THE WRONG MUG (Broken Glacier)... no known mug exists for this bar.
Hailing everyone and trying to give everyone various coin amounts at the Velium Keg got me no where, though the mug does exist somewhere, apparently.

Ye'll find the bar downstairs and comfortable rooms up top. Can I interest you in one of our signature mugs? Only a platinum piece they are!' Hand him 1 platinum and receive "The Broken Glacier Souvenir Mug". Tobart Dirkins says 'Thank ye and enjoy it. All the bars here in Thurgadin have their own mugs, just ask the barkeep if'n yer interested.' There are five different bars in Thurgadin. You can obtain different mugs from some of them. Find Doogle McBanick in the tavern called Doogle's Drinks. Find Loremaster Fronden in a different tavern (which?). You say, 'Hail, Loremaster Fronden' (He gives no reply.) Hand him 1 platinum piece to receive "The Broken Glacier Souvenir Mug" (this would be the wrong mug for the tavern he is in). Loremaster Fronden says 'Thank ye and enjoy it. All the bars here in Thurgadin have their own mugs, just ask the barkeep if'n yer interested.' A fourth mug is known to exist: "The Velium Keg Collectors Mug", and there is a tavern called The Velium Keg in the zone (how to actually obtain this item remains unknown). I haven't gotten any of these yet but after reading all these posts asking what they're for...
Are these equippable? If so I wonder if they could affect Alcohol Tollerance....or maybe they're just for appearance if you have a drinking party.....LOL (I suppose Opal Encrusted Steins or any other stein would work fine for that purpose)

Being a dwarf, i figured i'd play it up a bit, and i began collecting steins after i found the Fool's Gold Stein... I thought that the souvenir steins would be a great treat, but alas, the only one I've had the luck of getting is the Icy Mug Souvenir Stein. Do the others even exist anymore? No one mentions it when hailed, and they all thank me politely for the money, but no steins... =(
Edit... I did get the Broken Glacier Souvenir Mug today... he didnt acknowledge my hails before this, not sure what was different.

Most likely you had been fighting giants or wolves in luclin zones and had increased your faction enough that he would give you the text. Of course, it's also possible that SoE changed something.... /shrug

I gave the broken glacier souvenir mug and the icy mug souvenir mug (separately) to Burtle Barrelbelly up stairs in the Fool's Gold in Rivervale (I'm a halfling) after trying to give it to everyone else. he was the only one that accepted it. He thanked me for the mugs and that's it.

Has anyone tried to "Identify" the steins for more clues?
I have seen several mobs in Cabalis wielding mugs.No idea if these have any relevance.Just noticed them one day after reading this quest.

I got the Velium Keg Collector's Mug from a GM event called "Ale Across Kelethin". I won second place :) It identifies as a mug with a bit of blood dried on it. So, the Velium Keg mug does exist in the game. Currently I am trying for the other mugs to complete my collection, but I seriously doubt there is a quest involved.

I have gotten 4 mugs so far in Thurgadin. I went to each of the bars and gave the bartender 1pp and he gave me a stein. All steins are different but haven't found the 5th stein or figuired out what to do with them. After receiving the mug from the barkeeps they told me to hang on to it because it will be worth alot of money someday. I am still working on figuiring out the rest of the quest and where to get 5th stein.
5th stein could be a Frostone Stein from CC
I haven't worked on brewing skill at all but is there a brew thats exclusive to velious at all could be a posibility that if you combine that and a mug(s) in a brew barrel then maybe you get unlimited quaffing juice or something. Just a thought )
