She doesn't seem to have a dispel proc on Coirnav. I was playing a 60 mage with very good Luclin era gear and an unfocused epic pet. The pull was a body pull and caused an elemental and another add to come. I was able to keep the pet healed using my 60 heal spell even though I pulled two adds with her. Casted my Turn Summoned AA on the elemental and nuked it down, switched to the other add killed it next, then turned to her. Frenzied burnout was down, from clearing but I didn't require it. Spells seemed ineffective against her, I did put Valiant Companion buff on my pet before and during the fight because some of the trash leading up to her cased a fear that was hard to resist. At one point clearing the trash to her I got feared thru 250 magic resists, from a green con mob. It transported me out to the middle of the zone (outside of the water) similar to a banish effect except without the banish and made me feared. My pet also got feared once which is why I had the Valiant Companion spell loaded, since it's not until the next era we get the fear immune pets. I didn't notice her casting any Cancel Magic effects, my guess is that part of her behavior is bugged.
she's easy to single. just swim to where her tunnel is, gather up all the mobs that aggro you, run back out of the river and run far, far away and fade/feign/camp out to remove them. then swim back to her cave and pull her with her ridiculously large aggro radius. she is indeed very resistant to fire, ice, magic. she can't be mezzed or slowed. she doesn't run at run3 speed, however, and she summons maybe once every 15 seconds. top hit maybe 200 but typical was about 80. as a 67 bard, i tried meleeing her, but that went too slowly, so i twisted poison/disease chants, heal, and saryn's scream of pain, which didn't land very often. dropped the circlet.
definitely going to try her again. damn potameid broad thinks she owns the place
I read about the satchel and decided to get it. It took me six kills to finally loot the satchel. The first three times, she got the enchanted dew woven circlet, then the nullifier, then the guardian of the river, and then satchel.
You actually don't need to pull her cause she's got high aggro range, so swim carefully towards her until she comes for you. I can confirm that she's got very high resist, could only cast malo on her, malosinia did never take hold, also she resisted many dd spells partially or complete.
I'll definitely be back to take her again....got lucky on the first kill and got my nullifier. Great for mezzing buffed frogs in seb and then taking my time and debuffing them. Pulled her the exact way the guy said, invis to her cave, never even saw her, just saw something coming at me like a torpedo, turned around and made it to land w/o her laying a glove on me, so no adds. Adds, even one, and I'd have been dead. Lvl 63 chanter here, 162 aa's, she's immune to snare/root (which I knew going in), but also immune to slow....hence, the "Ouch" subject line. Also couldn't stun her at all. None of my dots hit, nay on cripple as well....DD's hit 50pct or less of the time and half the time for less than half dmg. Forgot to DS myself, DOH!, would have been less of a fight if I had remembered cuz she beat the shizznat outtta me. Had to gather mana and cycle cast 2 DD's then arcane rune to keep from dying. Pet ended up at 2pct health, me at 9pct health before she finally started running at 5pct health. Will be a different fight next time tho, when I get my satchel. ;-)
Edited to add I FINALLY got my satchel....killed her twenty times if I killed her once....sheesh. I luv different bags tho....gonna try Faydedar in OOT next....she's got some nice bags.
I (65 mage) soloed her with ease. Never nuked since she is immune to ice, fire and magic, but pet handled her well. Faught my way there and killed her in tunnel without adds. She dropped the circlet. Better luck next time hehe, i want Guardian of the River.
Just killed her, couldn`t land 1 stun on it. Very high MR or so it seems.. Shammy dots landed just fine. She cast the 40% slow and hits not so rapidly for about 140 max.. Only dropped the Nullifier for us.
Her spawn time seemed to be a little off when I've done her the last few days. Killed her on Saturday around 6pm and ran back on Sunday at 6, ready to kill again. She wasn't up and I thought I had lost the spawn to someone. Looked again at 7 and she still wasn't up, but when I checked again at 9pm, she was there. The next day, I didn't see her until 11:30 or so and the next (Tuesday) I didn't see her at all and assumed she was spawning every 26 or so hours and went to bed rather than wait.
I've been killing the queen now for 2 weeks straight and here is my strategy if you wish to farm for her loot. (don't know why you would.. it sucks for her level but none the less...)
-The best thing to do is pull her onto land. Make sure your Swim skill is above 150. Go invis, swim into the underwater cave, swim straight through the first cavern and into the second cavern, take a sharp right into the tunnel and watch for see invis mobs. if you get attacked swim back out of tunnel and fight back on land. When you make it to third cavern, make a sharp left and this is the Queens tunnel. She has a VERY large agro radius and as long as your invied you can just swim to the mouth of the tunnel and watch for the queen's figure making her way toward you. Immediately swim back the same way you came and she won't hit or break your invised with that high of swimming skill. Single pulling the queen is best obtained with a 62+ character doing the pulling.
Bard Soloing notes. She DOES Summon but doesn't hit that hard. She is VERY resistant to Ice, Fire and Magic spells/songs. The best route is attacking her with Posion and Diease spells/songs. Charming Griffons and black panthers to attack her while she completely kills it off is a great way to widdle her hp down if you don't have good AC or HP gear. She always summons you after her kill but as long as you haven't done ANY damage to her your new panther or griffon or anaconda pet will get immediate agro. If you choose the PET method, be prepared to charm about 10 pets before her health is down to 50%/60%. At this point just use posion and diease chants while singing rejuvenation songs to drain her hp down to nothing and heal yours. She death walks around 15% to 18% hp depending on your level.
Queen Loot table. Common drop Enchanted Dew Woven Circlet 40% of the time Cloak of Shimmering Water 30% of the time
Rare Drops Nyahlia's Nullifier 20% of the time Guardian of the River 10% of the time (she will have wand type weapon in hand when present.)
Misprint Dew Woven Gauntlets Dew Woven Leggings Dew Woven Sleeves Are all drops I've never heard of the Queen dropping even from my friend who gave me the info on soloing the queen for loot. I could be wrong on this and I encourage people to post follow-up information if I'm incorrect.
I have killed the Queen 21 times now and the loot worked out like this:
Enchanted Dew Woven circlet - 10 Nyahlia's Nullifier - 6 Cloak of Shimmering Water - 4 Dew Woven Leggings - 1 (dropped on 21st kill along with the Nullifier) Not recorded - 1 (One of circlet, cloak, or Nullifier though)
She also dropped Words of Obliteration once along with one of the above items.
Her spawn time seems to be approximately 24 hours, maybe slightly less.
So I tried to fight her and learned some valuable information. 1. She is Immune to Slow 2. She has an AE Cancel magic + 40% slow 3. She is quite MR besides
So all in all she takes quite a while to kill no matter what kind of group you bring
Her room has 4 Water Elemental looking guards + 1 Protector and One other Enchanter type guard. Since I fought her solo at 65, I was trying to pull the protector behind her when she aggro'd but not her Elemental guards.
To get to her room from the Cave enterance it is straight at the first intersection ( should BE NE ) then right ( should be south), then a left ( should be East) and you're there.
I don't know if any of them see invis or not since I have Shroud of Stealth, but if they don't there' is a little space for a group to rest up out of the water behind her room that should be out of aggro range.
Highly magic resistant. My 56 dru could not land any fire or magic nuke. We took her down with two groups, mid 50s. She dropped the Cloak of Shimmering Waters.
These little lovelies are in the river in JP. I never paid close attention to their hp, but at lvl 49 one is definately mage soloable. The problem is, when I'm fighting one underwater, another one invariably sneaks up behind me and starts clocking me on the back of the noggin. And for being such little things, they hit awfully hard! They're not fish, so they will chase you out of the water.
My advice would be to have a group to hunt these things.
Potamied meat they drop is used in advanced baking recipes.
