Either this mob or it's place holder will spawn every 15 minutes.
Between my pet and I we did 12,279 points of damage to kill it. Take this with a grain of salt as part of the damage was calculated from my earth pet's root (which is supposed to do 77 points of damage when it lands).
During the fight it bashed, kicked and hit. Max hit was 141; kick was 44 and bash was 49.

He dropped the 47 Pally spell: Thunder of Karana (1/29/06) and spawned twice in a row for us.

Here are a few tips for this guy as there are a couple of ways to get him.
1) Clear the first 4 entry mobs, they are the only ones that almost always see thru invisibility. Any class that can invis can pull him fairly easily, and can pull him to the entrance with few to no adds. Stand between him and the last spawns before him. Hit him with an arrow, or spell just not a dot. Channel through his hits and invis and run like the wind to the entrance. 50% of the time, this works with no adds, the other 50% i get like 1 or 2. A slower works the best for this as it makes getting the invis casted and holding without being hit easier.
2) Go there and whoop him where he spawns. This is fairly easy with a ranger and shaman combo. Probably easiest if you clear the final hallway before him so when he runs you dont get crap loads of adds.
Notes: when doing this we were a group of 2, a 62 shaman and a 62 ranger. Lower level might make the aggro different. This guy has like 20k hitpoints. He doesn't hit too hard, like make 150 or so max. Lastly, the respawns are fairly quick, so don't linger in any one spot too long or you'll get adds.
Anyway, I hope this helps someone, as this works real well for us.

Song: Battlecry of the Vah Shir just dropped from the Deranged Underbulk
Is it just me or does Deranged Underbulk not spawn anymore? I used to go every day to the deep to kill this mob for some loot but now every time I go I end up killing placeholders all day long and its just a waste of time now I cant even remember the last time I saw Deranged Underbulk... did they get rid of it... did they move it... or am I just having extremely bad luck?? Thanks

Actually this is the loc of a mob close to the PH. The PH is the mob at the very end, a little east of this, probably about n250 n70. The PH seems to always be LB to a 65, as is the mob itself. The other mobs seem to always be green. The PH can be an enthralled underbulk, an enthralled razorfiend, or a young thought leech, maybe others.
On Al'Kabor the Deranged Underbulk usually (but not always) drops the Levitation spell and the usual underbulk drops.

I want to camp this guy and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me! Thank you.
Lots of good tips for campin him on the link for his drop, the massive underbulk shell, I would check there. Good Luck
