Fight was really easy for me as a 65 beastlord with a boxed 78 pally. I first attempted to try to get him out of water, but found that didn't work lol. Then i noticed I couldn't hit him, But if you just levate over the water where he is, you'll be able to hit him just fine.
You CANNOT cast on this ******* from in the water...nothing lands, period. We could heal our pets and our pets could melee, but we couldn't melee or land a single spell.
However, if you stand on shore at -2888, +2188, then you can land spells on it. We had no trouble landing nukes or dots. Disease, cold, and lifetaps all worked, poison got resisted.
Much easier once we finally got where we could land spells.
Since the change that was made in how you swim, you can no longer attack it. Apparently the water is too shallow where it spawns to allow you to go under. I did this fight for a friends lvl 55 BST, I had my 75 BST with 2.0 and there was a level 73 druid along also. Even shrunk I got a continuous spam of "You cannot hit your target from here" the whole fight. Only my warder and my friends warder were able to cause any damage. Neither Bst nor the druid could do any melee damage to the Spirit. Spells be they DD or DoT would land. My CA - Rake or AA Jagged Claw did not work either. I even tried shrinking (wild lord sandals) partially into the fight to no avail. The damage shield the druid gave to me did cause damage everytime it would hit me though.
Good news is both pets were able to take it down, it just took a lot longer than it should have since they were the only things able to cause it damage.
:Edit: Forgot to mention, Bestial Empathy when cast would give the cast bar but the werewolf pet would never materialize.
Just killed this tonight easy kill 70 Sham / 66 Bst / 63 Mag / 63 Wizzy pets tanking and the rest casting. Spawned in Western corner near FV Zone line at Neg 2980, Pos 2280. The Scout is Directly South of The Sorrow toward FV line.

just did this guy yesterday and he was easy no pet nessary, im 65 with 155aa's so i just stood on the bank, with his back to me hit F8 targeted him then got on horse quad dotted and sat back. no fighting really involved just get a bunch of casters withs dots and stay out of the water. i did fight him when he was at 20% i was oom and itchy to get the totem 8) just my opinion.
Fairly easy fight again. 66 Beastlord with 162 AA's. Have high resists and nothing will hit you. Mob stays rooted in the water but you have to be on land for spells to hit, go figure.
to cast damage spells on him i had to be outside the water... kinda wierd since in pvp you have to be inside with them... yet to heal your people you have to be underwater with them... it was funny watching the 2 low lvl in our grp spinning around in circles.. resisted 100% with 213mr
Just did him yesterday. I am a 65 cleric. Resisted all of his spins and only stunned one time. Was sitting levitated above the water and had not a problem healing my grp under the water. Had bard with MR song playing and also a high lvl MR buff. Most ppl had MR over 200. Easy mob but long fight. I could not nuke out of the water. All casters were under water casting. Did not loose anyone. Had only 8 ppl to do him.
Are ANY of these Buggers soloable I mean SURE i could try but Im to much of a scardey cat to try But Ill duo for sure but I wanna hear people duoing or soloing not With Guild groups heh..(shame shame :P)
My resistance stats are the last things I have worked on and I can say that I was near 120, I resisted a few times but I sure did my share of spinning. My druid with a lower MR was on autospin! Since no spells ever landed from anyone on this beast, just bring mellee and healers.

Was asked by guild mate to bring my 65 Warrior and 65 Cleric to kill this spirit no problem. Ha! we had a group of me 2 boxing and a 61 level warrior and 55 bst and a 44 bst that came to see what it was all about. Fight didn't go well was told the water wasn't deep enought for EB, wrong the fight is underwater he wouldn't be pulled out so the warrior had to swim to the surface which moved argo to the others and they got wiped. After rezing everyone I did 3 things that made this easy. 1 put EB item on the 65 Cleric and the 65 Warrior 2 put MR on both made their MR 166 and 183 (Spirit's spells never once landed) 3 Cleric use CH and sat, stood, healed and sat mana was never a problem (mind you the Warrior had virtue and 7000 hps).
Told everyone else stay out of the water and the two of them killed the spirit in about 20 minutes.
I have heard of raids being whiped by this guy.. me (55 bst) and 4 others took him out and had no probs.. none of us got stunned after bard had resist songs up. it was me, 53 cleric, 62 epic bst, 63 epic bard, and 61 pally tanking and we had no probs with it.. we then went to EJ and killed that one too.. all the scouts can be done with one group, just the key is in having the bard with resist songs
with 180 MR at lvl 61 i resised all stuns but 1 after a 60 mage's mala, Wildfire landed for full(only resisted once) you MUST be above water and in melee range to nuke this guy
LMAO...This was funniest mob I've ever had the pleasure of killng. First it will not leave the water and will only summon you if you are in the water. Second nukes will land but some will get resisted. I am a 52 pally and my small nukes landed 2/3rds of the time ( after it being tashed). Our tanks would swim in fight till about 40% health then swim to shore and get healed. Also sitting down will prevent all spinning allowing to you to med up during the fight. We took him down with 11 people, avg level around 53. And the fight lasted a good 30 min or more. By far one of the best fights I've ever been in. It was so hard to keep your mind on what was going on cuase we was all laughing so much!
His AoE stun is far reaching and extends behind him. Lost the first 2 attempts because all of the healers were constantly stunned and couldnt heal anyone. Finally got about 4 groups in there and some higher levels who could resist the stuns and managed to kill it.
High magic resists help, but I found that at 200 MR, I was only resisting half the time.
This is a spawned mob for the Beastlord epic. It looks like a large gator. Spawn loc is (-3000, +2300) underwater, north of the Scout, not far.
It stays rooted in place. I couldn't land any spells on it, I tried from above and under the water, don't understand.
Casts or procs "Death Roll" like crazy: point-blank AE 12-second spin stun. Wear MR gear. With 270 MR (gear + GRM + bard song), I resisted every one. If cripple would land on the Spirit, it might lower the number of stuns.
Make sure to bring your MR with you , this not nice mob casted a stun spell that lasted up to 15 seconds or about that and is a royal pain when it comes to healing tanks that are getting in trouble. the note for next time is bring a few bards....
