Warlord Skargus

Uploaded July 24th, 2007

Skargus has created some enemies after unseating the previous Warlord, Gragbar, and forging a business relationship with the Iksar.

Now, both the Sarnak and angry Gragbar want him dead.

If you can bring his head to Herald Telcha in Chardok, she will reward you handsomely.

Killed him today with my 61 Necro. Initially I was just going to have LoZ tank him, but Skargus tore up my pet pretty well so I decided to kite instead. Between two or three Funeral Pyres, two Ebolts, a couple of Vexing Mordanias and the pet chasing after him he went down pretty easily. Cut his head off and got my ring at last.

Purely self-buffed, didn't even have Virtue because I ran over straight away when my Druid saw the Angry Goblin up and didn't have time to get extra buffs.

Oh, and he dropped 76pp for me too, a handy bonus :).

Found out last week that the angry goblin had been moved to FM (thanks for that previous posters) and went to take a look. Lo and behold, there he was too! Tried to get some help before doing the handin but since the response was minimal I figured I'd just try it solo.

Cleared out all the other goblins except the goblin traitor that was also in that room (roamed a bit but not much), then did the handin. Skargus popped and I was able to get away before he aggro'd. He tried to cast a pet I think but I interrupted him before that, he was stunnable, snarable and didn't summon. Hit for around 150ish, and had about 15K hp. Pretty easy kite (I'm a lv65 Wiz btw).

The angry goblin does indeed now spawn in FM (He could also spawn in droga I don't know...). If you go into the cave that now has the goblins (~loc n2000, p2000) take the left branch.

The angry goblin spawns in this room (with 5 other goblins). He is indifferent to all. Kill the 5 goblins first, then do the hand in to the angry goblin. Now the good news...the angry goblin is immediately replaced by the Warlord, so no having to follow the angry goblin anywhere (I cleared out the other 3 chambers full of gobbies, but that is not necessary).

Kill warlord, loot head, get ring...no problem.

The sleeping ogre (Trunt) is in Nurga, and is still as easy as before. Everything around him is easier than him, not too hard to avoid adds in that spot, just kill a goblin or two on his run path. Sleeping ogre/trunt is aparently right where he was before, just slept through the revamp.

The iksar monk shackle quests have been moved out into FM, west of Nurga. There is a small cave network there that have all the quest NPCs/mobs for the shackle pieces.

Hope that helps.
55 Shaman
# May 25 2003 at 10:15 AM Rating: Decent
I was wandering around Droga, killing goblins for the ore, brew and salt and I found this guy. He conned yellow to me as a 55 shaman, so of course I decided to try and kill him solo. The first time I sent pet in, slowed him, and he ate the pet in a couple seconds so I gated out. A guildy gave me a virtue and I went back, cleared the area around him, and rebuffed/med. I sent my pet in again since he was out of harm touch and I malosi'd/slowed him. Resists are pretty low. I let my pet tank a bit, but for the most part I tanked him. So long story short I get this goblin down to 10% hp, I've got 12% mana, 40% hp, and my pet has like 20% hp...then up comes this greeny goblin and he chain nukes me so I had to gate out. Damn thing. lol. I'm gonna try it again later, maybe ask a friend to keep the adds away.

I had no idea about this quest. Now, do I have to do the whole thing or can I just kill him and loot his head then do the first ring? Just scimmed through the quest description so I might've gotten something wrong. :)
Soloing necro style
# May 23 2003 at 1:35 PM Rating: Decent
I'd say a 61+ necro would have no trouble soloing him with the LoY pet. Before starting, I grabbed an Aego as I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but it probably wasn't a necessity.

To make the fight go smoothly, kill off all the mobs around the table room near the angry goblin before turn in.

Upon turn-in, the angry goblin will walk into the table room, and into the small northern room coming off of it, where Skargus will spawn. I ate the HT using Manaskin, and then sent in the pet. I then cast Saryn's Kiss (Vexing would prolly work too), Funeral Pyre, and Pyrocruor, and healed the pet a bit with shadowbond. Toss in a few Touch of Mujaki's and it was all over. Not such a bad fight really.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, if you are standing near him in the room when he spawns, he'll aggro you before he gets a chance to cast a pet.

Ok Here is a better report on him

HP 9-10khp
Lvl 56 SK
Soloable by 62+ nec just manaskin to eat the HT
Has a pet pet hits for 40-60s
he quads for 150s personally, mean guy if u aggro em instead of pull em, make sure something is up to eat HT

he HTed me for 881 but i had a partial resist, resistances are really low, necro 61 pet can tank for a few min without heal but does need one, he is not hard to kill at all good luck
Soloable?
# Apr 11 2003 at 2:54 PM Rating: Decent
Can a 64 necromancer with Touch of Deathd (1k pet heal, 250 mana, 3? seconds recast time) solo him?
Good Report

All,

Assist and use this report as I hate reports that dont say anything. Angry Goblin pop was at the standard location as listed under the Angry Gobby post after 82 hours (3 day +- 10 percent). Angry Gobby conned indifferent. If you sit at the corner of the spot where he spawns it is safe to use a spotter as logging in will not aggro a static mob. After giving the Angry Gobby the note, he walks up into the table room...passes the first room on the left and walks into the second room on the left just north of the Table Room. (I killed all mobs around in table room before turn in..approx 20 minute respawn) After Skargus spawned: (Group was 60 Necro, 59 Druid, 52 Warrior, 52 Monk, 53 Shammy, 56 Chanter.) 1. Skargus can be slowed. 2. All based spells landed fine: Fire based DD / Snare based MR(Necro Epic) / Pure MR based / also Rooted
. Mob lasted approx 1 min 30 secs with 2 melees. 1 K Harm Touch given to the token pet.
My guess is the Lvl 60 Necro could solo this mob easy and if a Druid had cleared the table room he could also. CLEAR THE TABLE ROOM first and the healers that surround the area will not heal Skargus. Skargus has approx 8000-10000 Hp IMO. Hope this post helps.

There are several swords with that graphic...off the top of my head I know of 3 it could very easily be a lammy ( which seeing where this is and the mob being killed I would say it is) or it could be a BoC or the third one that i know of is Elphorn's Cleaver.

Anyone know what he hits for and approximate hp? Basically - could a low 50s druid, mid 50s wizard and high 50s monk take him?
RE: Difficulty
# Nov 03 2004 at 6:09 AM Rating: Decent
May be difficult to extrapolate for your lvl, but for what it's worth ...

I killed him with my 68 shm (no defensive AAs and 1200 AC). The total damage he did to me was 2.5Khp which consisted of a 881hp HT and lots of little hits for 80-100. He occasionally had a bigger hit of 200.

I did not use Malos and all spells landed first time (slow, crippled, poison dot, curse dot, disease dot). He has some hp, had to cast all dots twice.

He didn't have time to get a pet, he spawned right on top of me and aggro'd me immediatel
spawned only
# Aug 22 2002 at 10:48 AM Rating: Good
Skargus isn't a normal npc in droga. You have to spawn him by handing in the items for the second chardok ring quest. Check out the regal band of balthezid quest link. It'll tell you how to get him to spawn.

Biz.
Info Please

going to be taking the Guild to Droga soon, need info on this guy!! Where he spawns, what makes him spawn, how much of bad **** he is,etc etc. any info would be helpful. thankyou
RE: Info Please
# Sep 26 2002 at 5:51 PM Rating: Excellent
It's very unlikely that you'll see him. He is a spawned mob for the Regal Band of Bathezid quest. To do that you need to do the Di'Zok Signet of Service quest first, which requires you to be level 51 and you must've killed enough goblins in nurga/droga to have pretty good faction with the Brood of Di'Zok(Chardok inhabitants).
So as said, it's unlikely you'll see him unless someone spawned him and then wiped just a minute before you arrive.

I don't know anything about this particular MoB but I will tell you that you need to have crowd controllers if your guildies are 35-45 in level. You should also have a wipeout plan because it can be a pain recivering bodies from this place. The goblins can SoW and they swarm. Don't let the level 35 fool you. They tend to run back and get friends so generally you'll be fighting 3 at least 3 goblins per pull, which include druids who nuke and hard hitting warriors. This dungeon can be extremely fun, but also a hellish CR if you have a wipeout. Good luck!
RE: Info Please
# Oct 21 2002 at 2:49 PM Rating: Decent
Well CR here are easy if you have someone who can Invis, nothing in the zone sees through invis. The hard part for us was getting a bunch of 35-40 folks there without any deaths, or getting lost while in DL or FM.
