Killed this chap last night and all my paladin proc's and spells on the undead hit. So, I believe strongly that this dude is Undead. Lovely fight... I enjoyed the session and recieved a Sash as a reward.
Killed this mob today. As someone said already, trickiest thing was pulling it without all the adds. Once he got to camp, I charmed a moktor and sent it in, after slowing with requiem of time.
I would not do this alone, but I had an sk as partner(my usual partner in dangerous duo stunts). I hardly believe I could take this mob alone as two mobs summoning me(one unslowed) would not be cool at all.
He did not seem harder than any other mob around, but seemed to have lots of hit points. I went through 10 recharms easily when fighting this. Sk just watched and made sure he was always summoned by Shadowy Assassin, so I could recharm the moktor.
Couldn't tell that this guy was any different from a dark assassin. Slowable, dooming darknesses you as a proc. Hits for 199 max. Spawned by killing Dark Assassins. Pretty weak for a named. Hardest part about this guy is pulling him, because he moves a lot. His pathing isn't the short walk and a stop like a Dark Assassin. He litteraly walks from one side of the zone to the other. My group was reluctant to pull it the first time our ranger saw him on track because we didn't know if he was slowable since the dark masters don't slow. Now after killing 6 of the guys i wish we would have tryed him that first day we saw it. 4 belts 2 capes 0 weapons but a misleading dark steel once.
Hey, on the Dirk it says Monk, Rogue, Bard; on the Cloak it adds just about everyone else and on the sash it's most meele. Since when dod everyone else in the game become Assassins? I just like to think that an Assassin is an uber 60 Rogue. It's almost as bad as 60 Rangers being called Beastlord pets. Seriously Verant, please.
Or, consider that this cape belonged to the Shadowy Assassin, and is hense called The Shadowy Assassin's Cape. If I buy a Oldsmobile, it doesn't mean I'm the owner of Oldsmobile, it means I own something made by them.
This is the Shadowy Assassin's cape/sash/dirk. When a monk takes it, it is still the Shadowy Assassin's cape/dirk/sash. A monk is just wearing it.
In a group recently we fought this guy. Killed him with a Warrior (Me, level 55), Cleric, Chanter, Shadow Knight, Ranger, and Magician. All were around 55-58. I was pulling and found him near a torn up house a little ways out and to the right of the ME zone. There were alot of other Assassins nearby, but most were far enough apart not to add except one. Was about to pull when the add walked away. So I got a single pull. Used Defensive after I pulled. It wore off during the fight. He hit for a max of 199 without Defensive. Fight lasted about 5 minutes total. He flurried twice during the fight. Didn't enrage. He dropped an essense of darkness (regular drop on other assassins) and the Shadowy Assassin Sash, 5dex 5agi and Haste. The SK won it =\... he said it had 26 percent haste, but can't confirm that.
i don't have any of these items but it is funny to see how people argue over stupid things like that but it gave me alot of imformation about how haste stacks on spells and such so i was just goign to let you all know that you should keep argueing no matter what anyone tells you =)
Yes we looted the Shadowy Assassin Sashe last night - ac 0 dex 5 sta 5 effect haste - Lore and Tradable The level 60 rogue won the loot and He believed that it was adding Speed raising his cap over VOG and his epic - he seemed extremely pleased and promised to get back to us on specific speed numbers - That's all
You do know Haste Items do not stack... Only 1 Haste Spell and 1 Haste Item Stack seeing rogues have there haste from the epic it would cancel out the sash unless it is faster
