a baneful shadow  

Was camping this area lastnight for the second time. Most everything was light blue or Green to level 51 Ranger and Druid. This guy came up on tracking and conned DRK BLUE. Now I knew he would be tough because some of the GREEN con Greater Shadows were a lot tougher than any other Green con mob. The first time I pulled him we werent really prepared. He resisted snare right off the bat, resisted root and healed himself. He also does a lifetap spell 150 DD. Our mana was not at full from pulling previouse mobs and he aggroed the Druid, for using heal, with a frenzy and I could not draw the agro back. Druid ran but even while running away the lifetap spell gets you. He got the Druid and I bolted for the zone, didnt acutally have to zone he returned to the island once you get so far ahead of him. Well the whole deal just burned me right up so I decided to med up and have another go at it once the Druid got back. The second time I pulled him we were close to full health, mana and buffs and I switched strategy. We both threw a root on him at the same time and one of them finally stuck so we both threw our DOTS on him. He broke the root a few time but we repeated and when he was weakened from the DOTS finshed him off. He dropped the Mark Of Life, which was a bit of a let down expecting a decent piece of gear. This guy is pretty tough for his level and he seemed like we were fighting something that would con much harder than DRK Blue
