In short, no. These guys are mid-40s with very, very high MR and DR for their level. I soloed them to level from 57 to 60, and even then got a fair amount of resists - they're tough mobs.
Basic strategy - pull with splurt, send pet, shackle of spirit on the revenant - vexing mordina, then shadowbond on pet. Repeat shadow bond and mordinia as needed. Keep deflux up because between lich and shadowbond, you'll bleed HP pretty steadily and occasional defluxes will keep your hp reasonable. If shackle of spirit just won't land, keep trying, but be ready to run if pet dies. This is a place where your 56 monk pet will out perform the 49 tank pet. If you get a reaver instead of revenant, strategy is different as they're SKs instead of warrior - basically try to slow with shackle, toss on vexing, and nuke with exile undead and try not to get aggro becaue they cast ignite bones and asystole and can basically ruin your whole day. The higher level ones gate (i.e. named revenants), but it's pretty rare, and even if they do, they won't bring back adds if you've been smart about the order in which you pull from the camp.
As to why I don't just fear-kite them: Fear is typically resisted, and when it does land, it always breaks early - fear-kiting is actually harder than just a straight-up fight as described above.
Regular reavers/revenants are the PHs for the named, and the named are fairly common spawns - girdle, grail and chalice are the common drops with the book being much rarer. Though I did get 5 books to drop in the couple weeks I spent there leveling to 60.
His placeholders are the Sun Revenants and Sun Reavers on the plateau area. He is HARD for a 52 Mage to solo, so I don't recommend it. Bring a partner.
Seems to have very high Fire and Magic resists. I couldn't get Malosi to stick either.
Dropped 44 Research component, plus the Sun Chatice
I know I came to this camp late, but.... At 58 (mage) he is no problem. None of my fire based nukes would land, even after Malosini did land. I tried about 5 casts, the Buggah completely resisted every one of them. Does not resist any magic ones after Malosini though. At 58 every Sun Rev is dark blue, and not a big deal. I have killed 2, one dropped a Sun Chalise, the other dropped a Smiters Girdle. I don't know how common those drops are yet though.
I killed a few as a 56 mage solo. Drops seem common -- I got them and had to let some rot. The named ones weren't especially difficult. Fully buffed and armoured air pet, pull with Malosi, Sirocco after taunt, and finish with another Sirocco or Lava Bolt depending on resists. Actually the same technique applied to all the revenants.
Some (of any type) have high resists -- for those, repeat Malosi until it lands first.
Another item dropped by this guy is a range item with +3 int / wis and some other stats / save. I'll take a look when i am back home and give the correct name / stats. I think the name is coupelle of the sun.
I bought this book of a lvl 60 for 123pp, went to North Freeport and everyone yelled at me that nobody has heard of the book and that I should check the name again. Could anyone tell me how much its worth, or how much a comparable item is worth.
