Just fought The Needlite Queen, she was a pretty difficult fight for an untwinked 26th beastlord, ending with me at 15% HP and my pet at 20% (although he dropped to 1% at one point from the poison). Here's what I observed:
- Con at level 26 was high yellow (would wipe the floor with you)
- Hit pretty weakly (low 20s mostly, about the same as an average needlite) with kicks from 10 into the mid teens.
- Has high resists (Resisted sicken and drowsy twice each)
- Casts Needlite fever:
Initial damage: 25
Damage per tick: ~35
Resistance invoked: (unsure, possibly posion)
Reaction: <target> has contracted needlite fever.
You have contracted needlite fever, you have taken 25 points of damage.
- Spawned after clearing the room about five times.

Ok, i have two things to say, 1-if ur going to slay these damn things, war class is not good to do it, they have haste, so unless u have the bogling net thingy that roots when ur gunna run. and 2-these do not drop to much, but legs=4pp and wings i think are 1pp(i could be wrong, oh ya, and if im right, u need to kill the PH(placeholder) 5-6 times before he spawns

I sold the wing yesterday or 8pp in POK. Very nice price, but rare drop as I have killed her a good many times and have seen her drop only 2 things total (one wing and one dagger)

I decided to try the queen with my 27 twink pally when she was a yellow con. She didn't hit all that hard and I think I could have had her but then I got a disease I've never seen before called needlite fever. It did me about 450 dmg in about 45 seconds! I had to zone to Fungus Grove and I barely made it alive at all. Beware of this disease they seemed to have added to the Needlite Queen!
Soloed today with a 24 Monk. I had never been to EC before and was exploring the zone when I ran into the queeny here. It conned red to me so I felt compeld to rush in and be dumb. The fight was pretty even up until we were both at 50% hp then I couldn't seem to land a hit but was taking plenty of dammage. Of course mend didn't work but I stuck to it and kept swinging. By the time I was 20% hp I took the upper hand and got the queen down to 18%. Only a slight lead but it was enough. Finished the fight with 8% hp and one of the smaller joined in to save the Queen but decided to go away when I fell to the ground successfully. I got the Wing and a good victory to boot =)

I have been camping this room since 24, and I have to agree that the queen has always spawned back to back, then a long period of no queen, back to back etc. Very easy, great exp, I love this room.
As a 35 Ranger when I go there I have found the Queen and all the needlites in the room. What I do is stand at the top, target the Queen, and hit her with Stinging Swarm. Run to the room with the boggling scouts. The Queen and one needlite follow me. I root the Queen and then attack the needlite. With my new Ranger dd spell I can do 80 dmg and melee the needlite before the Queen breaks free. I then kill the Queen. When she drops the dagger it sells for just over 17 pp and its a great way to make some xp (the Quenn is dark blue to my 35 Ranger) and some decent loot too.

I was going to Fungus and as per usual i checked to see if Great Sap and this Skeeter was up. She was and i saw a guy sitting in the corner, asked if it was camped and he said go kill it. Well i turned around and a monk had allready decimated it. He said it droped a caster cloak.

I was with a 32 Mage and we went through 2 - 3 cycles before the Queen spawned. We spent over an hour there and killed her twice. No stinger yet but will go back and try again. While waiting for the Queen to spawn we did go for the bogglings out in the hall.

This mob conned white to me and my wife and we were both lvl 28, we killed the queen a few times and she was always white.

It took 4 times clearing the room to get her to spawn for me. At a spawn rate of 18-20 minutes for the Needlites, there was a lot of waiting. She spawned over the rock in the middle of the floor toward the back. I never killed the roaming Needlite in the tunnel, just the ones in the room. She dropped the Giant Needlite Wing.
you can go clockwise around the hive and pick them off 1 at a time - others won't aggro. UNTIL you get to the 2 in the back right corner - harmony doesn't work and root didn't stick for a 28 druid.

I'm a level 30 warrior and have been here since about 25 or 26. Awesome exp in the room and if you kill the needles in a counter clockwise patter you can solo everything binding wounds in between. The only time i've ever seen add is in far back corner when 2 needlits appear. I have a theory that the needlite that spawns more toward the middle of the room is placeholder for queen as every time i kill it she spawns shortly thereafter. Have killed her about 8 times she's dropped the backpiece 7 times and the stinger once. Cons dk blue to me at 30. Anyone know the going price for those backpieces? Figured around 200 plat to a player if someone will buy them.

The queen won't spawn unless all the other needlites in the hive have spawned. I learned this the hard way, but now I can clear the hive and kill her about every 15 minutes. Seen the dagger 5 times so far, and the wings 3 times, good thing is that the wings aren't lore, so you can carry a lot of them to take to market.
totaly random spawn. I been in caves for whole week. haven't seen her for 3 days, then she spawns 3 times in a 30 minutes.
Killed total 4 times twice.
Solo at 28, she con WHITE/EVEN. got Cpae evrytime, haven't seen stinger yet

The needlite queen was yellow to me at 26. Didnt seem to hit as fast as the others but hits harder. Most of the ones around here were blue though I did see one that was even.

Never posted but here it goes..i went to camp the queen and spent almost 2 hours killing needllites without her spawning...logged off for around an hour, when i logged back on i continued killing them for another 2 hours then she spawned(in far corner)..wanted more exp (good exp but no cash) i killed them all in turn again and woot..she spawned twice in a row..just what happened for me..hope this helps some Talslan Ranger 32 Circle
