killed myabe 50 of these big wolves all day at CL ZL,

My ranger found him just inside the commonlands ZI to the left. Easy kill.

Dropped this today dreadskin cloak AC 6 WIS 1 AGILITY 6 FIRE 5 RANGER/DRUID. SEPULCRIS DARK ELF SHADOW KNIGHT LVL 43.

Charmed today with lvl 63 druid spell Command of Tunare, so should be tagged as animal not monster...
Found and killed one right at ZL to Commonlands, easy kill fer a 63 Mage. Drop note and away I go.

This page for the mage epic drops off of regular dread wolves at night in Kithicor.. I killed 3 and 2 out of the 3 had the page

these pages of magi'kot also drop of dread wolves, not enraged, dont know if they changed their name or what.

These happy chappy's can be easily taken down by a 51 Mage.
Run round near the WC bit, press your ` key until one pops up. Then send your pet in (I was using MSII), give it a nuke. He'll start chasing you, pet free hits. He'll stop quickly and go back to pet. Nuke once more, should be on around 30% hp. Let pet finish it off. Loot!
Pet ended up on 60%HP with BO3, Shield of Lava on. However, he also had Steal Strength cast on him. :(
Only problem is adds. I died once and had a close call after I had about 9 other undead mobs, even though they all conned green, jump me, each casting at least a 100dd nuke :(
All in all, easy! And got the stupid page , so was worth it in the end. ;) Wolves conned DB, watch out for afew DB / LB conning undead. Happy hunting!

I had this spawn twice in the same spot ... Loc was +1385, +2587 ...
Actually, quite a few of these wolves roam around by the zone-in from West Commons. I just set up camp there with my pet (MSII with its self-cast damage shield), used Eye Of Zomm to scout out for wolves and pulled them to the pet.. also clearing out any undead trash that came too close for comfort.
My page dropped off an ordinary Dread(ed?) Wolf: killed three of them, third one dropped it. I did see an Enraged Dread Wolf, but it was walking away from me and I didn't fancy running into the middle of the zone at night :).
Either way, much easier than I expected it to be.

I've been hunting these and Dread Wolves for Essence of Moonlight lately, I like these because I still get exp as 52 druid.
Anyway, they break root in about 12 seconds so root dotting hasn't worked for me. Kiting works pretty well, but adds can be a problem. Takes about 3 bubs+ mana to kill it. Swarm DOTs always stick, Breath of Ro usually sticks, Stafire hits pretty good too. Luckily, snare will usually stick in the first 1 to 3 tries. I have successfully OOM kited these with ES Vambs, but takes a LONG time. Not very fast.

Does anyone know if these have a tendency to spawn in any certain area at nightfall.
myself (42 Druid) and a 51 pally friend were trying to kill a few to get the essence of moonlight they occasionally drop. tried 2 different times in one (EQ) night. we failed , didnt die but neither did it. it resisted ALL my spells, root, snare, nukes, dots. (no i didnt dump all mana on the MOB, i was healing pally too) it resisted the pallys root as well. we had to give up, i was oom and we zoned. it was down to half and pally had 2 bubs left even after LoH. tough buggers

This 51 mage either didn't know what he was doing or had a small mana pool for his level, now bear in mind that I didn't actually drop this thing, but I (46 druid) was around 70% and it was around 50% health when some SK mobs decided to jump in
procs Steal Strength, level 9 SK spell, snares/roots didn't stick well, not as bad as say... Feerrott bouncers, but his resists to those spells is a little amped, mess of hit points, 2400+ would be my guess

d00d, i killed this guy at 44, lil hard, but i still did it...
all i did was malisement, Maelstrom, then nuked the crap outa him with Swords.
had 48 hitting fire pet up, with DS, he proced a steal str on my pet, cuz i saw it wear off like 5 mins later.
he is easy solo, the mage who wasted his whole mana bar must have been using Arch sheilding the whole time or something LOL.
he hit for 91 on my pet, at most.
i suggest earth pet, but research is uber ghey, so i just used Fire....
got my epic page *joy*
now only need thing from Unrest to complete this subquest.

I agree with the last guy that posted. That 53 Mage must have really sucked because 51 Mage soloed one lol. And my friend even soloed one at 48 with fire pet and torch of alna.
Also, he conned blue to level 51 so level must be wrong.

I, level 54 mage, soloed this + 3 other adds with np, if that level 52 mage couldn't harm it at all he doesn't know how to play his class and needs to learn.

We had a 52 mage waste his whole mana bar, conned even to me at 40, 52 mage didn't do jack to it so no 53 mage solod it. Be carefull they Steal strength and have tons of hp. We zoned it.

I solo'd this guy easily as a 53 mage. he hits for like 80s but has decent hps. He dropped the page I was looking for, for the mage epic, on first kill. I killed 4 dread wolfs and got no page before I saw this guy.

Enraged Dread wolf drops the Torn Page of Magi'kot Pg. 1 as his common and Dread Wolf drops it as the uncommon. This is one page for a part of the magician epic quest. He only spawns at night and you'd be safe to hunt with a group of 40's. Be careful and safe travels.

I ran into one last night. I'm a 43 warrior and a nice little 20 paladin dumped all his mana healing me. I brought this guy to the WC zone and he cast weaken and had some nasty DD spell. I zoned out with 2 bubbles of health (with pally healing) and the wolf only lost a bubble and a half. Tough bugger.

word of advice, a level 20 paladin couldnt save your life with his heals concidering they are healing at a 9th level cleric's rate if im not mistaken... try getting a real cleric to heal you next time your hunting =) it works out better
