Reminds me of equestiella the corrupted, just standing innocently right outside the zone line to MM In Lfay... Always standing there and gets me every time I go out... Here is how the fight with da horsy: 86 74 78 *harmtouch 401* You have been slain! She just triples then harm touches and you are dead.. 600 damags is not easy to take for a level 25...

i was trying to solo with my 30 mage in fv and was haveing a hard time allready.was killing a spider and got add.had to run to city.i medded up and got pet up again and went out to make trouble once more..i was running along to waterfall and went over some small hills and there was someone there with a pet i thought it was a pc too.luckly out of habbit i coned it with r-click and saw it scowled at me and im like whoa!!but it was too late i was too close.vekis hit me with a posion dot and i booked it back to the city like the *********** me down to 17% health..but i lived for another day.

Just solo'd her tonight on Innoruuk.
65 Pally decent gear
I estimated around 20k-25k hp for time it took. Hits max'd at the 160 range averaged around 80-90 though. Since she is rooted...i just cast on her (insane MR, couldn't land a spell) and drew out her pet, killed pet in a round then ran in for kill. Had clicky soulfire to use once for battle. All in all not too tough of fight. As for loot she dropped a Flowing Black Robe bleh =/
Guess you can't expect much from a quest NPC heh
She did finally run around 4% which made the final kill easier. Was fun fight regardless of the crap loot.

65 Paladin of Brell Serilis
I went to the port in FV for the first time tonight. Had a bunch of canines from Drolvargs in DL sitting in bank, so decided to quest turn them in. I went from portal in tunnel to port city by hanging on the right wall and going into the tunnel. When I left, I decided to go straight out of the city and go across land. I figured I was sowed and could outrun the mobs in the zone. Well, I am running up the waters edge, and I see someone medding by the side of the river (PC). A second later I see a necro and pet a little farther north, just past the statue where the river gets narrower. I thought it was a PC and kept running. All of a sudden, I take 556 points of damage, and get slowed incredibly. I look at the spell icons, and see Insidious Retrogression. I think, OMG, something this strong is in this zone, I don't stand chance at Level 46. I figure that I am dead, but I just keep walking. No more spells come, and I am thinking what the hell? I turn expecting to see the pet bearing down on me, but nothing. I count myself luck and turn around to see spiders everywhere and me slowed beyond belief. Luckily I had an invis potion in my pack. I pulled it out, chugged it down, and crawled to the zone. Never again will I get close to where this sucker spawned, now that I know.
everytime i see vekis up now...i kill him for all the time,s he has killed me when i used to run through that way

I have no idea about Vekis before until I ran past her with my drum and selo. Because the scene of a Iksar woman with a skeleton standing by the river is so weird, I consider her when I enter the town. She scrowl at me and ready to attack!!

well it warms my cold blooded heart to know that she has killed a few of you in Fv. I was ally to her so I used her as a med shield. Now that I am 51 I understand how she can ROCK. I have been killed many time by those damn FV gaurds and their time of reckoning is comming as I assend to 60. So all you have to do is Be and Iksar Necromancer and she has no problem with you. Of course when you hail her nothing happens.....shame I could lean nuch from her I think.
I believe Vekis is a triggered spawn.
I was doing a Wurmslayer quest with a friend. I was standing out near the bridge, and he was saying the key phrase to Lenka Stoutheart to get Guard Hobble to spawn. I started moving West from the bridge and I noticed Vekis up on track. I should have conned her from farther away, but after getting too close I saw that she was Scowling. I was hit with what I believe was Chill Bones, as I took DD in the 500 range and was turned into a skeleton. Needless to say, I ran to the bridge to heal up, and she did not follow.
I was a little curious, so I headed back over toward where Vekis spawned. Sure enough, she was still in the same place and seemed to forget about me. I then checked track and Guard Hobble still wasn't up, so my friend repeated the phrase to Lenka again. Vekis then despawned, and Guard Hobble was on track toward the bridge leading to the city. This leaves me to believe that Vekis was possibly spawned the first time the phrase was said to Lenka, and despawned when it was said the second time when Guard Hobble spawned. Any other ideas?

she just poped in front of me and im only person in zone so doubt very much that she a triggered spawn...ah how nice it is to have a zone all to my self

Died in FM at lvl 28 but was bound in FV. Was on my way back when I noticed an iksar necro near the statue. Not so unusual. Conned red, didn't think anything of it until I realised that it said scowls at you, ready to attack. Realised too late to pull away. Copped 1 hit from her and a quad hit from pet which took me down to about 25% health, but I was extremely lucky because when I ran for the FV guards, she and her pet did not follow me.

I'm a 54 bard worshiping Erollsi Marr and I'm indiff to her (maxed leigon of cab faction). When I consider her with my iksar illusion on it bumps me up to kindly.

I've been killing spiders with my little warrior (lvl 32) for the past 3 days. I thought nothing of it when I was on my way back to town and saw a necro standing at the statue. I ran right past her ... half health keep in mind ... she hit me HARD sicked pet on me .. I screamed MOMMY! After making it to the bridge, with 170 hps left, I decided to log my druid on and take her out (drood with a 'tude). Now, after reading these posts I realized two things ... I was VERY lucky to make it past her with my warrior, and that god I didn't pick a fight with her by myself :)
Does anyone know what she's for or how/when she spawns?

After hunting for hours without death in KC, I had to run to bank and unload. Cruising along with Sow by the waterfall, I get the message "You've been hit by Vekis's pet". So I turned around to see what it was, and Vekis conned RED to me at 49. I turn and run for the bank, and I get hit by 2 320 point spells and some DoT. HP's are dropping fast and I die on the bridge. Moral of the story, don't stop to take a look at Vekis, she's a nasty DE Necro and will off you quickly.

I dont know how many times that lil hussy has killed me. I remember telling a few of my guildies about it and there like noting in FV hits that hard. Hehe if they only knew:) Now ive gained a few lvls and she is gonna die or me but at least i will put up a fight this time with a little bit of help of course

She's on legion of cabilis faction--- Hunt in seb and shes gonna lub joo... cons warmly/even to a 56... and she doesnt pursue, since she's a permarooted quest npc

Just made lvl 50 from a 12 hour session in KC, running with happiness to FV from DL zone. Then BOom!!! Ouch!! Been this way dozens of time and NEVER seen Vekis before. Not to be this time.
Great..LH's is offline from KC and was LOM but was just able to spin and root the &^#* pet. Vekis hit me with a spell that emcumbered me to the point that I could barely move. Now I was under 100 hp and visions of losing my new level flashed before me. Was like at a crawl speed when the root broke on the pet but the Gods were on my side as the guards came out from the bridge to save me...I ran and hid in the bank. lol

Female Iksars have the 3 large horns on their head... male Iksars have the 6 pointy horns around their head. You can see in the picture she's female.

I was killed by Vekis a few times when i was running back and forth from fv to loio back in my younger days. I finally keyed on one way to survive and encounter with she and her pet. If you get caught by her, immediately jump off the waterfall and swim for dear life to the stone pier near the sunken ship. Her pet will not follow you and you have a chance to make it back to the outpost in time to heal yourself or be healed by others there...even if you die, this makes for a fairly easy corpse recovery, as you die at the outpost instead of out in the wild where you ahve to contend with all the spiders and such.
