Tried several strats and the one that works best is this:
Get an enchanter and dire charm a lvl 110 Cliff Golem;

if you tank goes easy on taunting, the charm Golem should take most damage and effects. The Golem usually goes down to around 10% with a group DPS output of 120K, which is the overall DPS you need to kill Needle.
Overall dont over-dps the mob. DPS control is they key. Once he summons, esp as a caster, you;re done for. Almost 200K unbuffed and still die within an instance. Needle casts a spell that makes you fizzle a LOT. Just hang in there and keep clicking, there will come a moment, that it will land. The fizzle debuff is cast on individuals and not the entire group.
But again, DPS control is the key for this encounter, so make sure all individuals do not overaggro (Needle targets you when >85% aggro).

As an alternative the Mage's Earth pet will work (with Fortify Companion and less mage dps due to healing). When you have a decent tank you should be ok as well. (dont have a real tank in my team, so wouldnt know the specifics).

Hope this helps

The key to overcoming the fizzles from Itching Poison is Mastery of the Past.
Memorize a lower rank of spells that are covered by your MoP AA rank and you won't fizzle.

This seemed like such good information until we got down to the nitty gritty. To my knowledge Dire Charm caps out at about level 65. So, then, I considered my regular charm. At 111 my highest charm (level 110 Transfixer's Command) reads that level 109 is the highest it will go. After a couple rounds of golems the lowest I saw was 110. So, without finding a golem one level lower,. we could use none of this information. Anything further for my consideration?

Enc Dire Charm AA rank 36 requires level 110 (Ring of Scale) and charms mobs up to level 110.

The debuff is more than what is listed seemingly. Silence or a debuff that makes you fizzle is part of it. Had to use pally to purify and heal the tank. Not a fun mob
