could a 43 monk take the Evil Eye solo?

Yes, a 43 can take him solo. I got one last night, and I'm L42. My entire party died at the King's hand. I went FD, and had to get out by myself. Run...fd...run...fd...lol.

Optic Nerves?
# Aug 11 2001 at 7:47 PM Rating: Default
A guild mate of mine looted these off one in L Guk. Can these be used for the Crafted Bracer quest? I thought the optic nerves only dropped of the EE's in Runnyeye, not L Guk. Anyone have any insite?

I think all the evil eyes drop the optic nerves because I often loot them from the eyes in the Beholders Maze.
bards and rogues soloing this bizatch
# Jul 19 2001 at 2:09 PM Rating: Default
If you're a rogue or a bard below 45, this could be a tough fight. EE has a damage shield that can really deplete your health, and he's a caster of some sort (I guess a wizzie, cause he don't got no pet) with 250 point DDs.
Your best bet to solo him as a bard is to twist pixie strike, magic resist and a self haste - just make sure he's debuffed first.
Your best bet to solo him as a rogue is to buy your EE bag in EC, unless you really enjoy CR.

But Wizards' familiars do not assist during a fight. The Evil eyes are Enchanters, and if you kill their pet, they will try to charm you.

He is easy to pull from the noble camp. Clear the frogs from the hallway and pull him to noble. We got 4 bags in a couple of hours.

Was green to me at 50, and no xp. So he was lower than 36.

Anyone who's actually been down there have any idea how many laskies he has around him? If any? Is he in the area all by his lonesome or does he have some friends that want to play too? A note of any wondering frogs that pop in to say hi would also be much appreciated.

Summoned Spells Work?

Just wondering if anyone know if summoned spells work on it
RE: Summoned Spells Work?

I don't think EE's are summoned creatures.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 04 2001 at 10:45 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) wtf are you talking about?
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 07 2001 at 7:58 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) He is talking about summoned spells, what are you, stupid? Can't read?
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 15 2001 at 12:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok two things: 1) The original poster asked if summoned spells worked on Evil Eyes. What kind of spells do you think he meant other than spells that target summoned creatures? 2) Why call him stupid or question his literacy if he made a mistake? Your post should have been something like "You made a mistake, he is talking about summoned spells." Flaming for no reason (or usually even for a reason) is pointless.
weigit reduce question

isnt the bag 75% weight reduction? ? ?
RE: weigit reduce question
# Jun 24 2001 at 6:11 AM Rating: Default
It is 70% weight reduction. Light Burlap Sack is 65% weight reduction. Both are Lore and 8 Large Slots. Very nice bags for everyone.
RE: weigit reduce question
# Jul 05 2001 at 12:47 AM Rating: Decent
It used to be 75% weight reduction or was widely thought to be. After the patch went in that allowed weight reduction to be shown, these bags are identified as 70% weight reduction.

I'd say it's more like 34-36th level or so - it was yellow to me the few times I'd conned it at 35th, once at 36th if memory serves. Now I'm nearly 38th, heading back to smack dat big ole' eye (I hope).

Heh. Live Frog faction is kinda key, in that having it makes it MUCH easier to get to the Dead side of Lower Guk. As in, nothing (that I have encountered) in Upper Guk will attack you.

Of course, invisibility will do the same job. But that gets dicey in Lower Guk, where there is a mixture of Live and Undead creatures. Life's better when you can use InvisUndead to get where you need to be and just ignore the Live ones.

That said - Live faction is pretty easy to gain. Just kill Dead frogs. Lots of 'em. So, I'd say a good plan is to get above dubious to the Live frogs, camp this bag, and hope for FEW placeholders and therefore FEW Live faction hits.

Just a thought.

A way to avoid faction hits can be done with enchanter spell memory blur (or that line of spells) I know that casting it 3 times will anull any faction hits you had on the mob. but, any chanter should know this...

I (33 druid) fought it yesterday with a 36 wizard blue to him and yellow to me, it was a pushover, I had no gear on (was on CR). BUT REMEMBER TO ROOT/SNARE! The eye will run when low to get his frog buddies.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 17 2001 at 5:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) That's great lad! no body cares, j/k
