In Lower Guk a live Froglok shaman is PH. All other live creatures will add, so best to attack in the alcove.
Warning - shaman has SoW and will spam heal under 40% health (with unlimited mana). He also casts root (it's a spell, not a proc like the undead frogs) and a disease-based DoT. I resisted all the roots, but the DoT landed even with resist buffs.
His unlimited heal mana is a pain, but he only heals to 50%. If you can get him down under 15%, he will stop healing. I used a stun and bash combo when he was at 40%. Once he gives up healing, he'll turn and run away.
Be careful when he runs! He starts to head down the stairs and will warp when he gets to the water line - appearing at the other side where there are more frogs. If you chase him down the stairs you will fall in the water and get caught in the space between a boulder and wooden pathway. While you are struggling to get out of the water, the frog will run by a bunch of adds. If mobs in LGuk still con green or above to you, be prepared to face a horde of frogs and minos regardless of faction. If you can't keep the frog in the alcove, you will be besieged by adds very quickly. Prepare accordingly.

Is the PH any froglok shaman or a particular one? There are 7 different froglok shaman's in Lower Guk.

One of the easiest camps in EQ. Very few mobs to clear with almost no roamers and rarely camped since he seems to always drop the bag and has no rare drop. Killed him twice (bag both times) and got my bag yesterday. He never gated, but he did charm me once. I started laughing so hard when my warrior went after my shammy friend. Fortunately it didn't last long. Also he drops the optic nerves which is part of the warrior crafted bracers quest, so get two!

Killed 2 days ago on Druzzil Ro, and he ran away when he was low on health. When he runs away and gets to the bottom of the steps, he doesn't go through the water, but "teleports" to the other side of the water. Hope this helps if you can't find this creature when fighting it.

As a 38 DE Wizzy, the Evil Eye was very easy to take down. Did not have time to disappear on me. Dropped the WR bag first time out. I have no care for Froglok faction. My faction with them was BAD to begin with. Look for me farming the bag for bazaar sales on Tunare server.

You guys are forgetting the various other loot from similar Evil Eyes, such as the eyestalks, bundle of optic nerves, and lots of gems. I can definitely confirm that after killing this mob about 2 gajillion times for the express purpose of getting the bag, I have seen him drop all that other stuff too.

Beat him down to 2% with my 51 monk and he vanished. I ran around for a bit looking in nearby passageways and found him in tunnel towards elder mino pit.

I'm a 47 beastlord that decide to get a wr bag, so i figure i'll start here. I had hunted in lower guk killing undead for a very little bit, maybe 1 yellow earlier so I was just a fraction better than most will be. When I went to kill evil eye he was very easy, but once he went down I lost faction with the living frogs. dropped me down to threatening with just 1 kill.
I came across the Fabled Evil Eye conned green to my 65 shaman, I have 7390hp buffed and 1470ac hit me for 880 max and about 700ish I had 290svm, elementally equiped, and he still charmed me had beat me down pretty quick, tried again with a 65 SK, a 65 shaman (me) a 65 cleric and the SK's cleric bot think high 50's we used the cleric bot as a sacrifice to get charmed then proceeded to kill the FEE easly SK never went below 70%.
Pretty crappy 1st try but was easy when I got my sheeetz together Fabled bag dropped.

So killing this thing gives live side faction hit?

Killed him about 20 times the last two days and he has dropped the bag every time. Cons green to 56 Shaman. Cast root, ice strike, and envenomed bolt then melee the last 2% of his HP. I keep magic, cold, and fire resists up on myself to resist his nukes and never have a proble with him. Getting anywhere from 350-500pp for the bags in PoK.

im confused..it says min lvl 30 max lvl 36 yet it cons light blue to a 51 ranger? does anyone know if a level 36 Barb War could do this alone or if it is a higer level item.

I camp this guy whenever i find myself a little short on cash. I haven't read all these posts but would like to share what I know.
The Evil Eye in Lower Guk is at pos624, neg448 and he cons LBlue to me(51 Ranger). It can be safely camped on the stairway leading up behind him with no adds or roamers. He has around 1700 hit points, is a caster, and sees invis. Spawn time is 29 minutes. A Froglok Shaman(tribe is random) could spawn instead. I haven't seen them both up at the same time so I always kill the shaman to get the eye to pop. The spawn timer also starts over when shaman is killed so I'm pretty sure he is a PH for the eye. Shaman has around 1300 HP's and summons a pet with about 900 HP's.
The eye has dropped the bag everytime I have killed him. It sells fast in PoK for 300pp. It is a short run from PoK and I usually sell bag and am back to camp before any pops. Just invis all the way to loc and you wont have any problems. With self buffs only, no casting, and my modest equipement I can take him out with 50% or more health to spare.
I did the Rallic Pack for a time, but the long walk, 90 minute spawn time, and lots of competition to get to him first I decided to do this instead. I don't think many people know about the evil eye in LG because of the short sell time, easy kill, and I have never seen anybody else camped there. I could be wrong, but it is an easy money maker for those of us that are always poor. =)

it was not really an easy fight. the harder part was getting to it being KoS to live side tho :)
Sent in fully buffed pet and then gave it venom of the snake for quick dps and darkness so it wouldnt warp away. that got me agro, so I found myself nuked with Inferno shock for 250 and Garrisons mighty manashock for 148 a couple of times. Melee was up to 70, so I had to chain my 39 lifetap till it was dead, took around
I pumped in 600 damage roughly with the DoTs and 4 lifetaps for 211 damage each, adding the pet damage this beast has roughly 2.000 hitpoints, not too shabby for a low 30sh wizard. Definatly a minor undercon

EE is a chump anybody above level 45 could solo him cakewalk i have gotten about 10 bags from this guy started at 45 monk camping raster and thought what the hell so i tried. Easy clear from the minno room. Went down killed him gave the bag to my alt druid when i got out and went back in for one for my monk. I have now made it tradition to kill him everytime i'm in LG.

I wonder if he has been made tougher recently. I tried soloing him and got blasted for 188, 248, 215, 190, 310, 211 of DD (hot and cold) plus others in the 20'ish range. Not long between blasts. The last two blasts at 310 and 211 finished me off before I could effectively root and run. I tried twice, same story. He was down to about 1 bubble, but that was more than me. Given the message thread below, I wonder if his dmg output has been increased, or if I'm just one unlucky ranger. Next time, I bring a healer...

EE has no lackeys. It pops alone. However, there is sometimes a wandering frog or mino that will go through the room. If that happens at the wrong time, the would-be soloist would be toast.
The EE's are enchanters. It has rune and feedback. It will charm your firends (or try to) and casts enchanter DD. High magic resist would be helpful.
As for the guy who says frog faction isn't important... Well for day to day playing, he's right. But I always make sure I have one character that has never killed a frog. Corpse recoveries in the King Room are MUCH easier if you don't get hammered by every frog and Mino in the place.

I'm a shaman, so i got invis but not invis to undead.
I remember a year ago when i got there with my necro who was about 50 at that time. It was a pain in the ***, i even died at the hands of some greens minos once. Someone saw through invis in that mino maze, don't recall what is was.
Is there an easier way than through the maze?

went to lguk today to get a bag (there was no groups that wanted me after 4 hours). Eye was up, one IC and one Voltaic Draught (650) and he had almost no hp left. Finished with a 250 nuke. Looted words and a bag. stayed for another 28mins Eye poped again! Killed, bag../ooc free bag at EE. He is on Live frog faction and looks cool.

Not sure about the spawn time but you figure it out. I killed it and died by add. Was bound in OT. Got port like 5 -7 min later but only to nek forest. Had sow so I ran all the way to lguk right where my corpse was. You figure out the run time. Then about 2-3 min later I saw the evil eye pop. I say quite a while, but not that long when you have to do cr. Of course no **** wanted to rez me.

these are a little bit tougher than the EE's in runnyeye and beholders I am pretty sure. 2 level 30's might be able to take one at a time, although a wizzy or mage, healer and tank all in the 30's shouldn't have too much trouble, the ones in runnyeye are really quite easy I could prolly solo one right after another as a 40 shaman, but a little tougher here i think, also the froggy adds here are much tougher than those pansy little gobs, gobs hardly aggro anymore at this level anyway, but to tell you the truth I am not sure they drop off the ones in runnyeye or beholder. The easiest way to get one of these is to find a level 50+ mage or wizzy to go own one in 2 spells, guildies are nice for this, especially if they are sitting at a camp in Lguk doing little to nothing, I got mine around 30 this way while camping for my gatorscale legs, kindly gnome wizard helped me and 2 friends both get one. I now have given mine to my level 12 monk alt, I have 132 str, like 40 more from furious strength, and if I really need it another 30 or so from frenzy line of spells right now so my monk can put it to much better use.

I am a 39 cleric (high elf 194 wisdom with mana gear) on povar and i am wondering if i can solo this thing or do i need to call on my friends?
