So far the common drops have been the wand and the axe. In general armor drops are pretty rare.
I did find 1 new item recently.
Satchel of the Combine Hero ... 40 Capacity Size Giant. I've killed Nightvenom hundreds of times now and this is the only time I've seen this drop.

He has 3 placeholders in the cave, one is indeed in the back, but confirmed each one can spawn him. We camped two of the three plaeholders with no pops for about an hour then had him spawn two times LITERALLY back to back seconds apart. Killing as we left, the first placeholder in the cave then spawned him as well. 3 kills total he dropped:
2x 2HS
1x Range
1x Wrist
1x Head
So he doesn't drop an armor piece every time.
