Old news, I know, but I never seen his actual spawn posted. He spawns as a roamer in the middle of the crypt at -1397.36, 133.49, -199.84.
I was doing the hunter achievement and he was the last one to spawn for me in the crypt area. Just wanted to get this in here for future hunters!!

HOw many hp he have ? Does he summon ? Is he resistable ? Is he immune to stun,snare ? Can 65 wizzy with usual nuke 2500-2700 solo him ? What damage he doin ?
this guy is a easy sob , spent bout 9 hours in the crypy saw him 4 times , he is stunnable , our level 50 bard ,mezzed him while i wacked on the golemz , he has a ton of hP for being a pansy comparably more then the golems , he also does summon , *shrug 61 warrior here aND 59 druid on heals we can solo the whole damn crypy so for a 65 wiz i think it would be perty easy:)

Could u just imagine how many rod of Annihilations there would be if it still droped of an easy mob like this lol. It's sad when eq makes a dumb mistake like that

Sorry buddy, but if I am not mistaken this Item is lore meaning one of two things your friend is full of it, or he has more than one character in which he was playing the other at the time. not to say you are incorrect just doesnt seem likely, doesnt seem precise.

i see all these people on the dw helm post say its effect is a great healing effect, but the effect is a buff, not a heal, was effect changed?

Daring has a side effect of 115 pt heal, assuming the PC doesn't have a Skin series spell on them, daring won't stack. Can be chain cast.

I am Hertic of Xev.........Any self respecting soloing caster would be nyurts not to have one...or at least any necros that still like soloing this thing is a must ...start the fight with your epic......send pet.cast fear and follow the mob till dead...mana usage none noticeable.........or give it to my cleric with FBSS and lil healer just bacame a nice damaga machine with nukes and stun thrown in....
not cleric usable hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Cryptcaretaker drops Deepwater Helm and Obolis mantle , Donal's Helm does not drop here it drops from the froglok commander in the Disco.
The Rod of Annihilation no longer drops or is so rare no one has seen it in a very, very long time. Obulus Mantle is nice, good for pretty much any class that can wear it. Rogues should opt for Ravenscale Shoulders if they come across em, however. Or for the AC nut, Crested Spaulders from the Avenging Caitliff in Mistmoore.

how bout this? your almost out of mana soloing out side and the only thing you have mana for is fear. so, you fear it then whip out the rod and attack for 125 at a time (from what i hear)

If you want the rod your not to bright.... Casters Cast they don't have the HPs or the skill to do enough damage to make it worthwhile.. Also -50 int makes casters dumb that means less mana= worse caster... I am a monk and I hope my wiz nukes and my necro DoTs and my enchanter gives out the claritys to the clerics err Pray

It is true that he cant tank, but who said he was gonna get hit? Even if he misses half the time he is still gonna be hitting for like 150 damage a pop.

heh, who said you had to be the one to kill it? Most no drop items that are hard to use seldom get picked up, so get your lil twink self over there, invised to undead and what not, then pick the dang thing up when it drops. Most groups will let you and even try to protect you while you are with them, since they want things dead too. Ahh, a chanter with some speed and this to whack with is a beautiful sight to behold. :)

Im a Conjurer, currently level 57. I'd use it. When you ask? When my guild is fighting a totally or almost totally MR mob. I do this now. Assuming everyone is damage shielded, if I'm using a pet I send it in with the tanks, then once they have it's attention I go in buffed with Speed and do what damage I can. The burnt wood staff I'm currently using is 8 damage 20 delay. I seldom see a hit for more than 16 damage. With a toy like this I assume I'd be hitting for 120. Works for me assuming I'm not getting agro'd. The only problem is if I do get agro'd, then I just have to back away slowly. I may indeed get agro'd as I am outdamaging, yes outdamaging the tanks. Not with mellee, I'm not cracked. Between my pet quading for 60, my 33 pt damage shield on the tanks, and my measely mellee damage I am very likely to agro the mob. Then I'm a manasponge for the healers. So, I would use this, but it would be tricky.

if no mistake that wonderfull rod is no longer droped , so trade it if one on your server .. my bad there isn t qny on rallos :((
