Let me hep you all out a bit on this quest information....this guy's testimony is not for soulfire....its for the cape and password mentioned here in previous statements.....and for a lowbie cape that has no use above that range....the only testaments are the testament of truth you earn from Merko Quetalis, who resides behind the Paladin guild in North Freeport, and the testimony that drops off the undead version of Sir Lucan D'lere, in West Freeport...thats it..just read the posts for Soulfire's quest...and PS...ya dont have to do all the steps...just get the parts any way you can!!....Truebeliever, Paladin of the 70th season, and servant of Mithaneal Marr

Also, this item is supposed to get better the higher level your character wears it.

Cloak has 2 charges of Instant cast ITU my friend. Anyone can use the instant cast charges from a inventory slot. I have tested this fact.
First off ANY Instant Cast invso or ITU has VALUE to any level. Just one example is PvP target loss. I am sure you folks could find use for a Instant cast ITU in let us say lower guk perhaps?

Does he still pop out here? I've spent the last 2 afternoons looking for him, about 10 hours of real time and no sign. He hasn't been on ranger tracking or anything. I've systematically killed all the asps, drakes and dervs, but never seen him. Getting to be alot of time for the cloak and subsequent hammer. Any help would be appreciated.
I confirm, he's up in Lavastorm roaming near SolA/SolB entrances, as I am typing this.
Indifferently to me, while I am normally amiably+ to the guards of Qeynos .. weird ...

I can confirm that he does indeed pop. Ran into him today crossing Lavastorm on Morell Thule.

I wonder if this is the cleric mentioned at the end of the Chalice of Conquest quest that starts in Butcherblock. Have any Paladins gotten close enough to hail him?
I was hunting with a another dark elf. he was a mage i am a necro bioth level 16. i went out to pull and got an elemental next thing i know this guy starts beating me so i ran into the entrance of nejana and we kill the elemental and sir lindal well i took the no drop on him read what it is for and at level 27 still wear the cape today. never used the charges on it. but it does have a proc now.

i was looking for him for about an hour and didn't find him and shouted to see if anyone has seen him and then tried the shadomen approach and killed all the shadow men and about 5 min someone sid that the saw him and i ran around to llok for him and found him at the pool near the entrance just standing there if that helps =p 8)

this guy drops a testimony, which is a waste on such a stupid necro item (get over the cloak, it bites) when it is also used to get the palladin sword soulfire.

Just camp the lava pool to the right of the shadowed men, I've seen this guy walk past there about (no kidding) 7-8 times now, I've never killed him because the Cleric I usually group with isn't there, and I didn't want to steal his cloak he was looking for. He is always walking at the base of the hill with the Goblin camp on top towards the Shadowed Men. I am usually killing drakes/imps/elementals when I see him walk past.

The NPC in the Nec guild in Neriak will give you a 2AC Cloak that has two charges of Invis vs Undead for the Testimony. It is called the Cloak of the Undead Eye and is a back item.

i was at najena entrance in a group im lvl 9 sk he was running everywhere he conend even to me we kileld him and looted a testimony

I'me sorry that i don't know all the info everyone is looking for about spawn rate or spawn point, but this is what happened to me.
I had been looking for Sir Lindeal for a month and had tried most of the suggestions that were posted, about talking to Loveal to get him to spawn, camping between the shadowed men and the goblin camp. I never saw him. I even had a ranger try and track him, he never showed. The ranger suggested that he had a "placeholder", don't know about that. Still no Lindeal.
Yes, i was frustrated, just like most of the posters here and other places. But since I regularly hunt in LS, I just figured one day I would get lucky.
So tonight, as usual i'me in LS working on Lvl-ing past 14th, I went inside nej to try and take on some big skeles, I died. After recovering my stuff, I was at the door and had just finished memorising my spells, and on the hill that is slightly to the left and forward of the door, i saw something different. Since I am always on the lookout for Lindeal i went to inspect. I got half way across that opening, when it started for me and LO AND BEHOLD it was him!
We met and the fight was on! Me, my pet, and a passing ele took him out. DING! Lvl 15!( I was that close!)
The game time was 10pm. Earth time 11p.
Also to help clarify, or confuse, I shouted to find out if anyone had recently or was camping the shadowmen. No answer. I went to see. Did not see anyone there or signs of a fight and they were the shadowmen were still there. I even asked if anyone had recently initiated the quest in Neriak. No responce.
A word on faction hits:
Knights of Thunder got worse.
Bloodsabres got better.
Priests of Life got worse.
Guards of Quenos got worse.
After turning in the testimony:
The Dead got better.
Queen Christanos Thex got better.
King Naythox Thex got worse.
Keepers of the Art got worse.
The Eldritch Collective got worse.
The Primordial Malia(?) got worse.

Is there someone you have to talk to to get this guy to spwan? I've been searching through lavastorm for days and can't seem to find him.

Okay, I've been hanging out in Lavastorm for just about a week, only sorta looking for this guy. Well, tonight he was JUST there <evil grin> he was walking towards the goblin camp along the ridge leading away from the Nektulos Forest entrance (almost to the goblin camp)...
He dropped his testimony and 8cp in coin.

Anyone know how long the spawn is on this guy? I cant find him, much less kill him. Any info is helpful. Thanks

Like Mylak said in "I beat 'em up twice", his spawn may be connected to shadowmen. When I saw him someone was camping the shadowmen, who Mylak says probably kill Lindeal. Where I saw him goes like this: when you are standing in the doorway of Najena the first pool of lava is ahead and to your left. Then there are like 2 hills behind that pool. He was on walking over one of those hills, and stopped to watch me fight a dervish hehe. Where I saw him sounds like it matches up with what Mylak says, cause this area is sorta near the Nek zone, etc.. ANYONE KNOW THE FACTION HITS ON THIS GUY?

In the neriak necro guild on the second level (before Noxhill V'Sek) there are two NPS. the one that is right in front of you, not to your left, as you come in gives out this quest. Sir Lindeal is a Paladin who has been killing the NPC's runners. Go to Lavastorm, kill Lindeal, and give the not to the NPC for some prize. i accidently gave it to the wrong guy, so i have to hunt him again :(

I've been lucky enough to find him twice. I thought he was another player, paladin or something but then I noticed the 'Sir' in front of his name. He was just as easy to kill at 13 as he was at 16. Think he is a paladin but he never LoH'ed himself. Both times I've found him it was near the forest zone. Straight out from zone path, where the frist lava pool is, its kinda like a clearing. On the left side of this 'clearing' is where I've seen him both times.
I don't know any specifics for sure on how or where he spawns, but I've read that he spawns up with the shadowed men. Supposedly, the shadowed men like to kill him and that is why he is a rare find. Don't know about the first time I saw him, but the second time I killed him the shadowed men were being hunted. He was also getting beat up by them goblins from the goblin camp. I had to rescue em for a 'proper sacrifice'

I have looked all over Lavastorm and have yet to find him or talk to anyone who has seen him. Anyone know where and when he spawns or how to get him to spawn?

He is a quest NPC, killing him and returning a book he drops to another NPC in 3rd gate gives u cloak of undead eye.
