Was running through Dreadlands and happened across this NPC that was spawning, immediately "dying" (feign death or faint animation), and then despawning. Then about 5 or 6 seconds later, spawned again, fainted, then despawned. This cycle continued indefinitely. Since this was Oakwynd, I couldn't attack or interact with it offensively in any way because it had the post-spawn lockout period before it despawned. There was a small handful of times where its name would turn teal right before despawning, but I couldn't attack or Disarm or anything before it despawned. Then I read the comment above, so I tried hailing him before he despawned, which caused a few "a spider"s to spawn nearby, but as soon as he despawns, they do too. Once, I hailed him upon spawning and the spiders immediately aggroed me and chased after me, but then despawned a couple seconds later.
I don't really know why I'm writing all of this out, other than to say that it seems this is some broken behavior. My guess is that this mob shouldn't exist in this era, or even outside of the typical anniversary period, but this is happening on TLPs. Just something interesting that seems broken, I guess.
