Known to spawn as a roamer on an upper floor (dark blue lining on most maps) with a stop at location 2345, 315, 265 in the large, open west hall that leads to the west tower.

99 shaman and 94 druide just killed him..but was unable to loot due to the 10 elite guards 
Let mage/beast pet's tank while I had caster merc + healer merc set to react/burn.
took down the spawned adds with the beastlord, they die very quickly.

Pet tanked, Dropped Embellished Handwraps tonight. Adds did not despawn before the named corpse. Grats SK, FD FTW.

Was able to kill with me, necro pet, and cleric merc. Keep away from named while pet is fighting and add mobs wont agro you are pet. As long as you don't agro mob off pet your free to dps away from range.
Adds don't despawn on named mobs death but do despawn after about 10 minutes it seemed.
Killed twice dropped leg and robe armor peaces.

High Guard Alsera spawns on the 2nd floor in the west wing. He can spawn either in the long part of the wing or in the round room on the end. The only two spawn points I have seen him at are as the roamer in the wing or the first mob on the left as you enter the round room. Placeholder isn't any specific mob but rather the specific ph location.
During the fight High Guard Alsera spawns adds. They hit like any trash mob but have very few HPs. The adds are immune to spells so the best option is to offtank the adds as soon as they spawn. My monk kills them in about 10 seconds. The adds are associated with a self buff Alsera casts on himself. It is a rune and might have other benefits. In addition to the drops listed, he also drops Greater Alaran Cantrip and Embellished Wristwraps of Kolos. So far he has dropped the wrist just once out of four kills.
The other interesting thing about these wings is that every once in a while a gust of wind blows through the open windows. This is a short duration effect that shows up in your song window. You will be pushed around the room and sometimes out the open windows. Most of the time the fall won't kill you but at least once I fell to my death by being pushed out the window.
Correction: Placeholders are a Nitore watcher. There are three of them. One roams the hallway and two in the tower room on the tend.

Spawns elite guards through out the fight. don't have much for hp.
