Formerly inhabited Splitpaw, and now dwells in Southern Karana.

To: The Masters of Lore and Census of Beastiary, dear sirs & madames.
I have searched the far corners of South Karana and found no trace of these creatures. I have obliterated numereous gnolls of all kinds in SK to make a nitch they where they could exsist if they could tolerate the enviromental shock of being expulsed from their habitat down in Infected Paw.
Perhaps they are still comfortably ensconced in their original desmises well protected from ravages of those who would do them harm. I for one have not ventured much past the entrance and found the guardians there agressive and intolerant of intruders! We may never know if this magnificient serpent dwells yet in the bowels of Infected Paw.

Anyone know where in SK they moved Widemouths that used to be in splitpaw?

ok where does this thing reside, in the NEW Paw, or in South Karana, because ive been to both an there wasn't any on track. according to the info here this snake lives in SK.. so anyone have an idea where? i really need this spell.
Yes, these guys do drop Summon Corpse Spell - got one last night.
I was in Paw last night looking for Summon Corpse; these snakes were trivial for a 49 necro pet to solo if it was actually there at the time, but !#$&@# is the pathing lousy in the water. I'd be standing in the water, pet right next to me, then pull the snake with Darkness and tell the pet to attack... and Goner would warp a mile away leaving me facing the mob by myself. Then, of course, the pet would taunt, so I couldn't even summon companion because it had aggro.
Managed to kill about a dozen of them before the pet got really out of the way and aggroed gnolls on itself while I was fighting the snake, then had to gate out. No sign of a spell on that lot.

I looted the necro spell "Summon Corpse" off of one of these last night. Now I don't know if someone killed the Ishva Mal, and then gave it to the snake, but that seems pretty weird. So necros going for the spell, try killing these guys on the way in, it might be worth your while.

Summon Corpse is a rare drop from the widemouths. SK can use it at lvl 52. Sometimes better to get it from the widemouths if you can't get a couple of friends to help take out Ishva Mal and his guards.

Actually, it's a lvl 51 SK spell, not 52. Got it for a 51 SK friend last night.
Confirmed it drops off the snakes. Got it tonight going to get it for my SK. Took out the snakes along the way, and whaddaknow, there it is.
Went to get Ishva Robe afterwards, but made half the trip easy, got a second spell off Ishva. Don't pass up the snakes if you're going for this spell.

At least ONE was blue to a 31, I'll be checking the others in due course. (Charting all the stationary mobs in Paw... yes, I'm a nutcase, tell your friends) They're the only major problem with lairing in the water. :-P

A while back, about mid-May, I was hunting well past the double doors with a few friends when we stumbled on these beasts. If you go past the double doors, you will cross the first bridge and turn left. Continue and hook right and head for the second bridge. This was where they jumped us. We suffered 3 dead and trained the otehr 5 snakes to zone, where they stayed for 2+ hours before a GM finally stopped by and sent them packing. as FYI, they are considered animals, so invis animal spell works on them.

These things are supposed to be pretty deep inside paw i've heard. I have hunted paw in the section between zone and double doors for long time. Yes they stay by zone the entire time if trained. Not something you want to run into unless you can take it...

This critter is DEFINITELY not lvl 25. From lvl 23 onwards I was mostly in Paw. It has always conned red. Now I am lvl 29, and it is STILL conning red. Taken into account that a group of mid-30 got beat up ..... please change the level. Level 35 seems more correct =0)

Was in Paw killin Gnolls and all sudden 2 of these boys spawned. Ouch Mid to high 30's group of 6 got beat up pretty good by these and 2 gnolls. snakes where hitting for 50ish and was wild since no one had every seen them before. Loot sucked nothing to mention .

I was wandeing around paw getting the lay of the land as it were and swam into the underwater tunnels and found three of these spawned there, mid range blue to a lvl 40 druid.

I really have no idea, first time ive seen it, btw I was lvl 25 when it hit me for 69 dmg, I didnt get a chance to kill it, my group was trained out and every time we went back in, the snake was still there strong posioning us every hit. A gm was there and finally put it back into it spawn point the gm said. I wish I could of killed it. High lvls, go find it hehe
