Corpse Run from Qeynos 2
# Apr 16 2002 at 8:48 PM Rating: Default
I was on my way to Rivervale and I ran into one of these guys with camo, invis vs animals, invis vs undead, and regular invis on and it definately seen me and i took refuge in a house for a minute. Next thing i know here he is, walking through walls beating me up as i try to cast gate. Son i killed over and was on a 5 zone corpse run. BTW Im only a level 11 druid, only leveling off of turning in gnoll fangs, so I wasn't too strong at the time.

As a druid who doesn't get into fight with wolf type creatures I can report that War Wolfs assist Gnoll Reavers.

They see invisible.

Some of these guys can definitely see invisible... my druid (who was camouflaged) passed by one on the way to Highpass and was jumped. He was bound to Qeynos, and as I speak, he's currently on a rather long corpse run.

Yesterday one of these monsters jumped our group (LvL14 Cleric, LvL16 Roque and LvL15 Warrior) near Bridge. We had no problems with him. Con BLUE to me as Warrior at LvL15. Dropped about 5gp and a Word !! Nothing special but nice exp (half blue).

Well one time I had decided to take a little walk. So I got bound in Rivervale, and went to Highhold Pass, LFG. Noone wanted my warrior self so i decided to go looking around the zone. After too short a time, i grew tired of that and went theough the West Gateof HH and zoned into EK, after a long walk(wiht no SoW) along cliffs, I ended up in a field, so I started exploring, wondering what I could kill. Nothing really jumped out at me and was about to leave when I heard that a cleric was looking for a partner. I figured that i was just the sort of person that he would want. So i sent him a tell and we met at the bridge. I knew nothing of the zone and asked him if there were any good camps. He said yes; Reaver Hill. So we went there and spent a good hour killing pretty much anything that moved near us. The Reavers conned blue and dropped gold and the occasional word. Then we got bred of that and went to the Aviaks in SK.I was 16 at the time and the cleric was 17.
Time well spent

Get yourself a partner and go hunt these guys. As a druid, I teamed up with a shadow knight to get a fairly constant stream of kills. Since there were two of us, and I had Root and Snare, we didn't have to worry about overpulls, and got great experience. Not only that, but the reavers drop excellent loot. They usualy have a couple of gold, and often drop rawhide equipment or gems. Twice I have looted bronze weapons off of them as well. As long as you're in EK hunting gorge hounds and griffawns, stop by and kill a few gnolls. You'll be glad you did.

Drops for Gnoll Reavers include low quality gems (cat's eye mostly), rusty weapons (fairly common drop :p), raw hide armor (all peices), occasional Bronze weapons, and a few gp. Best thing about these are that they are GREAT xp for levels 14-18, and give xp up to about 20th. They also spawn fairly quickly, and are silly enough to wander out of range of their kin (if you are careful you will almost never get more than one).

For those of you below lev 20, beware of going south from the bridge. There is an area with a large number of gnoll reavers, undead reavers, and spirit stalkers.

I am a 16 druid and some of them are yellow to me, I would say maybe 15-17 is their level range.
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 03 2000 at 10:44 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Let's see...yellow meaning 1 or two levels higher. If they have levels that are 14-17...and you are a lvl 16...that means lvl 17 would con YTY. Isn't that a noble idea? The conning system actually WORKING? At lvl 16 you should know this...

Let's see... "56th" level Necro... berating an obvious n00b for his math skills... that means you need a job. Isn't that a NOVEL idea? You, actually working? At age 17 you should know this...
