I heard the tusk was used for a high lvl bard quest , but ive talked to many bards and no one knows what im talking about, although i read on a other web sight it sold for 5k to a bard. Lol also i took him at lvl 23 with my Druid
Does anyone bother reading these posts before saying "Try this", "this might work" or "<shot in the dark>". I swear some people consider their ignorance as brainstorms.

All theory, no practice.
I seem to remember an NPC asking for a cracked tusk in the DE necro Guild all the way upstairs. Its was a second stage quest. The first was collecting fire beetle eyes I belive. Its been so long since I played a DE I'm to totally sure. Also the NPC wouldn't give the quest to everyone. I think you have to be a necro or wizards.
The Gigantic cracked tusk has nothing to do with the quest given in the necro guild. For that quest you have to get mammoth tusks from Everfrost. I did that one when I was lvl 8 or so and got a lvl 12 necro spell as a reward. Was wave of enfeeblement. A spell which btw I have never used lol. I had to buy the mammoth tusk cause was too low to kill one. Im curious if now that Im 44 I will get a lvl 49 spell hehe. That would be cool. Dought it though. Ok Im rambleing now. Hope someone finds the use of this tusk as I have one also and am curious.
What if someone got a chanter to charm him and try to talk to him. It's possible that the container is something he gives out as a quest and tells you what to put in it. Shot in the dark....
ok i have went to everlore eqprices and here for info no this chipped gigantic tusk and there are no answers only false info, if anyone knows what this is used for and is absolutely certain please post it, thnx.
Hey people, can I remind you that you don't necessarily have to reply to posts u dont like to set it straight, and render the thread obnoxious. Just give it a bad rating.
I got one Chipped Mammoth Tusk from him the other day but no container. My guess is you need to get two chipped tusks and combine them in the container that he drops as well but since I have only seen this guy once in game (and I have spent ALOT of time in South Karana) I doubt I will ever find out. Anyone else ever tried this?
Although I like to believe otherwise, all of these "unsolved quest", involving several unaccounted for quest items(like the tusk container, superb animal hides, well, I could go on forever)are in my opinion broken. Lets face it: if a quest works, how hard the quest might be, it gets solved very quickly. Take the Fiery Avenger Quest. The moment they reimplemented it, it was completely solved within two weeks. Including long shots and gambles with high level equip. Now that supposed to be the hardest quest in the game? These quests are broken somewhere or not implemented yet. Not unsolved. Iron shakles from Korvik the Cursed, anyone? Hundreds of druids have tried and hailed everything and everyone on this one. Etcetera.
I tend to agree with Treesong. There are a goodly number of "quests" that give every indication of being broken. Of course, Verant has contributed to this feeling, given the number of broken skill recipes that were left broken for over a year, and other unfixed bugs.
I do tend to doubt that the Fiery Avenger quest was "reimplemented". I am firmly convinced that the quest was not implemented before the (solved) quest was put in the game. That, of course, means that Verant misled us, but that doesn't surprise me. But I also can't recall reading anywhere where a Verant spokesperson said outright, in the old days, "There is a working quest for the Fiery Avenger in the game now." What they always seemed to say was "The Fiery Avenger is in the game." Yeah. Didn't Aradune have two? That's not the same thing as a working quest, though.
Before kunark came out someone at vriant said that 30% of the quests in the game hadn't been solved/found yet. While that included the plane of sky quests, it still seems there are a lot of quests out there that are still hidden.
Cracktusk jumped me a couple nights ago while i was medding. i killed him no sweat and he dropped the gigantic cracked tooth thing. No one in my guild or a friends guild knew what the heck it was for, i'm sure gonna hold on to it till i know though, must be rare, i'd appreciate if anyone could explain what this thing was.
WE killed one last night it had a cracked tusk and a cracked tusk container on it the container is 1 lbs and has 2 spots and a combine button. any idea what this is for or of what value it is it must be realy rare im on bertox server if anybody wants to buy it give me a tell or email me dstjohn1@belsouth.net
