Killed him just on outskirts of aviak village at -5954, 1011 he was headed north, saw him by Brother Hayle when I hit him with highsun.

He was level 17 today on Rizlona, Classic era TLP.
He dropped only the feather.
He ran from north of aviak village, all the way up west of the undead ruins.

Not that anybody cares about this mob anymore, but I spawned him today by working what I THOUGHT was the Quillmane cycle. The only difference I saw was that instead of random mobs, all PHs were aviaks. 78 sec spawns, all south of SP on both east and west sides. All PHs wandered.

I ran into this mob today when I was trying to finish off an Aviak Avocet. Darn thing just joined the fight. Anyway, my pet worked on him while I finish off the Avocet. I looted both the ring and the feather.

Killed him tonight just north of Splitpaw. I was camping the hill and he aggroed me while i was medding. Conned light blue to my 27 necro, and dropped pretty easily. He dropped only the bracelet.

I am a Level 25 Magician. I am looking for the Aviak Feather. Most posts here are about the bracelet. The bracelet is just loot to me. The feather is important.
I've read all the posts below, and none of the posts make reference to the feather not being dropped (double negative implies that the feather always drops). The feather is therefore not a rare drop. Kill this bird, get a feather.
Where is this bird? The posts below mention his location as being at the Aviak village, between the Aviak village and the Splitpaw lair, near the hermit, near the druid ring, and near the lake Rathetear zone. This bird clearly wanders the Southern part of South Karana.
I've counted up the sightings, and conclude that this bird is usually sighted at the village or north of it. This only implies that he is sighted there. I believe he could wander out of sight near the hermit and the druid ring, where people tend not to hang out.

Knari Morawk has top spawn somewhere. One player spotted Knari spawn in the penthouse. Another player was tracking Knari near the Hermit, [killed it] and then heard shouts from the Aviak Village that Knari Morawk is beating on a newbie. This evidence implies that Knari spawns in the village. There is equal evidence to support that Knari spawns at any Aviak spawn point at any time.

the aviak feather is needed by mages for their lvl 16 pet spell research not for their broom focus item.

Killed him today when I was at half mana. Bummer, all I looted was a gold ring and aviak feather.

Spotted him on the outside of Aviak Village. I wasnt sure who he was at first. But he conned green to me so I gave it a shot worrying that he might con low. Took him down easily (26 warrior). He dropped the electrum bracelet and a bronze rapier.

I found him just standing on the hill between the Aviak city and the spires. He conned green to me and went down if seconds. I only killed him because I hate birds. He dropped the Bracer which is a +3 Dex +3 Agi +3 AC.

I saw Knari twice today. I've spent a ton of time in SK on various twinks and had never seen him. My group got him twice in about an hour. First time he dropped a feather and the second time he dropped a bracelet. I was fortunate to win em both 8P
We were on the north side of the city pulling aviaks from everywhere. He seemed to wander onto us from the aviak spawn outside of the city, behind our group. The aviak there does not wander, just stays in the same place. My guess would be that is his spawn point. hope that helps 8P

Today I was camping the penthouse at Aviak Vikkage for avocets. I kept killing the spawn on 2 of the ledges for avocets to appear, as Ive done maybe 3 other times, when suddenly, after a fight, this guy suddenly pops in the middle of the penthouse, near the fire. Green for me and fight was like murder, probably as easy as an egret, even maybe easier. Drop was an aviak feather and some change. No bracelet.

Well I camped that twice damned High Shaman Grisok (once more) yesterday. To camp him I sat down at the northeastern aviak spawn (near one of that huge trees the aviak city is build on) and killed every mob that walked my way as these used the same route like the Splitpaw Shamen normally do. Suddenly I see some puny aviak running my way, I conned him, bloody green and named, first I thought thats the merchant, but the merchant wouldnt con green to me. So I stood up and slew him, a pretty easy kill at lvl 35, suddenly he dropped the feathers.
Try this method, I also met Quillmane (two times a hour =D ) and Coloth Meadowgreen.

I have been hunting in the Aviak villiage for about 4 levels now and I have only seen this guy once. I took him out no prob which makes me think the level is wrong....but he did not drop the braclet. Hopefully next time.

was whacking a harrier when he aggroed on me, my friend took the harrier down sadly almost lost her life her pet was wasted. Knari was not a problem as i was level 26 druid, dropped the bracelet for me didn't even know who he was wasn't looking was shocked at a named aviak whacking on me i had to take him down, he aggroed on me just south of the village

Yup, I got the Electrum Braclet Too.
I Found Him on track over not far from the Hermit.
But then not a minute later found a young necro haveing a hard time with him at the base of Bird Town. I helped him with a heal or two, but that time he only droped a aviak feather

I have spent 2 weeks searching for Knari Morawk, and have killed him twice. Neither time did he drop the Electrum bracelet. The first time, after searching for over a week, I stumbled across him south west of the hermit. The second time, after 5 or so more days, between the aviak city and LR zone. That first week I simply roamed about killing every aviak I could find hoping to kill its placeholder while a couple of rangers kept a regular vigil trying to get a track on it. The second week I had 3 rangers actively searching and destroying every roaming aviak in SK (with a few lower lvl guild members helping). The second time I spotted it I told one of the rangers (lvl 30) of its location he said Knari was not on track. It wasnt until the ranger got within sight of Knari did it appear on his track. My conclusion is that Knari Morawk possibly doesn't have any placeholders and is a random spawn, due to the fact that no amount of killing roaming aviaks spead up his spawn rate, and that he might have a tracking bug. All in all, Im rather frustrated with my results of finding the Electrum bracelet. A random drop from an Ultra-rare spawn =(
