I've encountered this guy once in all the time I spent in EC as a noob, and it wasn't even while I was in there for myself.
I was helping one of my friends who had just started playing by pulling the orc camp, and letting her pick one or two of me at a time. I did this quite a few times and was expecting by this time to lose maybe 5-10% of my HP. When this guy showed up, I wasn't really paying attention then I noticed that my health was at about 65%, so when I turned around, there stood Lord Shin Ree, blue to me (I was lvl 31 at the time, so yes, he can spawn at 22 and apparently higher) and eventually my ripostes took care of him. All I did was heal myself... he's overconned, that's all I have to say.

I had a group that was camping the camp he spawns at. Suddenly, he and a legionarre (spelling)? spawned. The only melee characters in our group was me, a pally, and another pally. The others were all necros except 1 mage. Shin hits in the 40's. He was hard, but no one in our group died 'cept a few pets. Didn't drop anything though :(

I had my 13 Ogre warrior (untwinked, mind you) at orc one and this interesting fellow spawned. The group was mostly leaving and all I had was a 7 necro to help me. The necro's spells didnt' stick so I practically soloed him. Had more than a bubble of health left. No loot, except for a few silver. Saw him a second time with a different character, and our group of 7~12 "newbies" that "didn't stand a chance" took him like he was another lego. Again, only a few silver for loot.
If the group is unprepared, and doesn't have a decent tank, he can wipe the party out. But, from my experience, he isn't as hard as any level 20 mob I've ever seen. A Kodiak is much more powerful than this underconned peewee.
Peeps rush to the camp when some shouts he's spawned because if someone's shouting it out, they need help. It's people helping people, like what happens to the poor ghoul that is trained to the EC tunnel entrance. POOF!

Lol on that but i have seen 4 batwings drop off 1 bat before, i think its probably the top and bottom half of there wings servered off of the bone, but either way if ya stuck batwings in a back pack that were just cut off you wouldnt wanna put food in that bloody bag lol hehe

this fat orc is not a rare spawn, he just spawns after youve cleared the camp a few times, which is easy.

I was slaughtered by Shin Ree a few times as a young SK trying to make my way in the world. I once asked in /ooc who Shin Ree was when he spawned, then my party died. Some ppl replied that he is the camp breaker for the orcs to get a full camp up again. He slaughters all the noobs camping Orc 1 just to clear out the players is basically all he is. He spawns randomly and semi-rarely on the Xegony server. There is no quest or real good loot associated with him. I just want to put out my 2cp, if your low lvl, say 12 and lower, becareful if u see him spawn. He can whipe the camp out easy.
I agree with this post , I've been camping the first orc camp quite a lot recently. So much that in one evenings play we saw him spawn 3 times. (killed him three times). But I have stood by in hiding (I'm a rogue, and only when not invited to participate) and watched him beat the bejesus out of very low lvl groups. He coned red to me at lvl 13 and 14 so I never soloed him, but with 2 or 3 other lvl 13/14's we wupped him. Also nice to have a wizard nuke him. Then the orcs begin multiplying in the camp again.

Why use so many "?", you only need one ya moron, and if he is lord of the dethfists, I don't know, although I think he is probably related to the "Deathfists" in some way shape or form.

I took this guy out earlier today. Its the first I've ever seen him. I was a lvl 10 Warrior but had buffs from a lvl 49+ Druid (hehe). Well anyway he dropped Legionaire Shoulderpads and some gold.

i was in a group of level 11 and 12 players with a mix of healers tanks and myself as a wizard, lord shin ree popped and i asked what level he was b/c he conned red to me, my group said we could take him, so we were medding and getting ready then some level 19 ran thru and got aggroed by him and ran off before we could do anything, now i would do 83 dmg with shock of lightning against him, that is if i could hit him w/o him resisting and im not sure how a group of level 12 ppl would fair against him and i wanted to ask and see if it is possible.

Hehe its extremelt doubtfull that you could dent his hp's, You're spells would never stick.
I'm waiting to kill this fool just cause i never did b4, i find it odd that he spawns in such a low lvl camp and drops absolutely nothing of use.

I haven't seen this guy, but believe me Verant has some sick ideas. Go to LOIO and SOW your way past the spiders and hope don't see VEKIS. Nothing better than being a lvl 18-30 running past some badass spiders just to get summoned by a lvl 60 plus mob. He he, good times let me tell ya. BTW, LOIO is some awesome loot and exp once you get to 20, just enjoy the run to zone. Where does this guy spawn though? I would like to add him to my list of "revenge kills."

I owe Lord Shin Ree about 4 or 5 times that basterd.Im going to teach him to mess with people who hold the grudge.I plan on totally mutalating him first with a few hits of 100dmg and over then dotin him an d leting him die slowly while i laugh and he is trying to hurt me with his wimpy hits.Now thats what i call a perfect revenge and im going to do that all 4 or 5 times >: ) muhahahahahahaha.Peace Out from the Death Knight

Okay, the level range seems correct but I can't confirm, however I have seen him 3 times,
The first was when I arrived, poped over to orc1 cause I wanted the faction and there was a group attacking him, he conned blue so I asked if assistance was needed, they asked so I blasted him, I nailed him twice for 139, and that didnt do half damage (although there was two groups attacking so got the exp) I apologised for KSing
when i looted him i got about 6 gold, pretty patetic, then I saw a short sword, I looted it, whatya it was bronze,
the other two times, he was splated in about two seconds flat,
Now for the newbies who camp at Orc1, this guy will hurt you, if ya pull it off congrats, however for the smarter and less suicidal simply shout "Lord Shin R..." at this point he should be toast
Basically the short end of it is, most of the posts are correct, however he does drop bronze weapons for those who complain about loot

My 20th level Iksar Monk was camping for faction in EC when this guy popped. I had no experience with him and tapped him like I normally tap orcs for faction (one eagle strike and back away). He was fighting the water pet of a level 8 mage which had been set to guard the middle of the orc camp (no camp sharing going on on this server). I tapped him and went back to my regular spot to wait for the next spawn. He mowed through the pet in 3 or 4 hits and came after me. I waited for a sec so that the group camping could take him. No one stepped up so I conned him. He conned yellow as he hit me for 30ish. I decided to take him and asked the group there to attack too. We finished him off (I got down to 2 bubbles of health and had to mend). I got the experience (loot was all of 5 silver). I went back to my original spot to await the next spawn.
Then, the level 8 (yes, 8) Mage, whose pet Shin obliterated, sends me a tell claiming that I KSed them and stole their loot. I said that his team of 5, 8-12's, with only one druid healer, couldn't have taken the level 21/22 mob. He said that they did all the damage and had beaten him. Well, I pointed out to him that since I got the experience I had done at least half the damage and, besides, its easy to deal damage when the local level 20 is taking ALL the damage (they never did enough damage to pull him off me). OK first off I will get reveng on him i plan on spending a whole day waiting aside a camp let the lvls who can get exp. But as soon as he pops he is mine. Little punk popped after a good long day at orc 1, always had 5 in the group (could never keep 6) lvl 12-15 lord popped alone he was red to all of us, But we figured he couldnt be too hard with the way we had been mopping the camp all day. He went through 2 pets a warrior an sk then the casters. we had a very good group till then. First of all if a high level would have taken the beating from him we all would have prefered not dying. Second if any group that size and lvls thinks that they can take this boy i laugh in there face. btw if something kills your pet in four hits run from it!
However i have to take certain things in consideration the above messages where posted by two anonymous posters?? who both managed to read the same post out of the thousands and thousands of eq users ?? while the coincidence is possible im more willing to bet that this is an interesting but of fiction at least by half more than likely from the same poster or a certain lvl 8 mage needs a life (if its true next time FD)

i used to be that certain lvl 8 mage in search of pants, well now i am lvl 11 and i'm wearing Shiny Metallic Pantaloons. i am ready to face Shin Ree, and i will. as far as you being concerned with my life, i appreciate that. i am very active in the 4h club, i am a gemini, and i love calamari. my wife is a nun, and while that can be very boring at times, she has a deep understanding and love of god. i wish she would put a little more salt on my pork... and quit beating my dog... and stop making instant pudding... and most of all, pay some attention to me, i am so bored.

When I was lvl 25 or so I walked by the orc camp and he aggroed to me. He conned blue so I think is ll 17-20 not sure. I killed him got some gold crappy armor. He is a very very rare spawn. Easy kill.

Some punk KS'ed this dude from me. Guess he thought is was a regular orc cause his started runin around shouting for help, lol, then trained it to the tunnle. Punk got what was comin to him.

For the guy who asked why he is always attacked so fast, MANY people owe him from the days when they camped the orcs and he killed their whole party. I always ooc to find out if he is up while in EC because I will take great pleasure in BBQing his butt.

Well we took him out last night with a 4 ench, 5 rogue and a 5 cleric. A little help from the 30 cleric helped. Very disappointed in the loot, sucked. Guess OS will spoil a man.
