Fairly easily, though he chomped me for a bit of damage before he went down. Didn't nuke, just Tashani'd my pet & I. Couple casts of Blaze took him down, but he only dropped the lens & some plats. O well.

Made toast of my level 30 ranger today. I was having so much fun killing and looting eyes, too. Now I have to wait for an uber to come and kill Soptovyr before I can start killing eyes again. Anyone on Veeshan server that can do it, check the time/date stamp on this message because Soptovyr is up at the time I am writing this message, or just stop by if you're passing near and see if he's still up and kill him for me so I can go back to looting eyes, eh?

Having just solo'd the guy, here's my 2cp; First buff way up on garbage buffs (he will dispell them 4 at a time). So get 10 or so buffs (levitate, enduring breath, all resists, etc.), then put on magic resist, regen, and SOW (you will have these after he dispells you).

First attack, take his pet away to the zone and nuke it. The pet does not respawn. Med up. Then go back for The Big Guy. Root, Ensnare, DOT the heck out of him, run to a safe distance. Med up. Go back again. DOT, DOT, DOT. He will go down and you will have 30-40% health. Be careful, cause you will get Rooted, Charmed, and all other manner of Enchanter type spells thrown at you.

After all that, you get basically 4 plat and a prize you cannot use. WooHoo!

i went up against this guy as a lvl 36 monk with lvl 65 shammy buffs first he disspelled all my buffs then he kicked the crap outa me and i killed him only to be killed by his stupid suffocation DOT and i lost a lvl not realy wroth it if you ask me

These evil eyes have a very odd agro pattern. Their agro range seems to be VERY small. A lesser lord did not agro at all until I actually started beating on him with my swords; despite conning 'ready to attack'. Once I engaged that eye, Lord Soptyvr jumped in to give him aid; instilling, tashaning me and such. Fortunately, once you are out of their range, they seem to forget all about you... even if you walk back to where you're looking at them, they will not agro until you engage again.

Well, that's my 2 cp :-) This adds a lot to the safety factor of attacking them; if you can get far enough away that they lose sight of you.

Hey was easy to kill. But i am a lvl 55 shammy, I was killing the Evil eyes for a PBB for my alt enchanter. I saw him pop and I rooted him, He got 1 spell off before pet was beating on him took my pet maybe 40seconds to take him out.



A shammy shall never turn evil or help the evil in Norrath !

I was haveing trouble with the pop rate in the Gorge and had petitioned, I started killing as eye's poped and was doing well. Then the Lord Spawned. I started to beat on him and then a Tell came across as I was fighting. It was a GM responding ot my Petition. He showed up to try and help with the spawn as I was in battle. The next thing I know the GM is Laughing at me... I was Charmed... I was beating on the gm as he stood by me. It was interesting. The GM said I hit him a few times and Nuked him a few also. The next thing I know I was on a steap grade looking down with less than 1/2 my HP's All my buffs were gone, and I was DoTed with my own spell. To make a long story longer... He was an Even con, I did knock him down to 1/2 hp's and he Blinked befor I had controll of myself. I couldn't win.

Hi all im a 41 ranger on inny server. I had been killing all the named lords to get king to pop,i wield a wurmy in main and centiLS in off,i only had 3/4 health and half mana so ithougt light blue no problem.
-he debbufed me 3 buffs at a time
-he charmed me i gave him sow healed him gave other buffs to.
i had to run to runneye res most because of lvl,he got off2 chaos spells they hot for 190 and 125 respectivly.
i made it to runneye and i was lagging had 85 hp left i medded up buffed then came up with plan,i nuked him just inside there entrance to gorge i ran half way snard took debuffer and ran to ru zone he came and i procedded to kick his but no lag when i was done had half life and mana,morale of story i got cocky because of lvl and came a little humbler.Oh and his pet only hit me hard when i had back to it while killing lord,hope this helps be wary and have plan,he is a nasty buggermanawar inny server.

My level 35 Paladin has been camping these Evil Eyes for about a week, and not for the PBB's either, although they are a nice addition to the gems I am seeking. I am actually there for the pearls and miscelaneous gems to help a druid in the guild finish her epic.
He is best handled solo, so if you are charmed you just march back and forth for about a minuet.

Note: do not let the eyes on the side sit, as having him attack right after battling one of them gives him a chance to spawn his annoying pet. Not that the pet hits hard, but once this guy strips you all the way down to your magic resist buff his pet is more than a back scratcher like the other two.

I have been told that he is a seven hour spawn, and I guess that is close enough, but I will set my clock by his 6.5 hour spawn rate.
BTW he conned dark blue to me, and I have seen him send many a pc on a cr because they did not have magic resists.

OK so some enchanters know this, but if the Evil Eyes have a pet up and you kill the Eye, cast Mem Blur on the pet and he just despawns. These guys are great experience for 25+ if you can get a partner; probably level 20+ with a group. You need to try to kill the eyes before they bring up a pet though, so even if your mana is low when they pop they are easier to kill than with their pet. As casters, the pet will interrupt you that's why I usually will kill an eye or attack it at 50% mana if you have enough fire power or melee power to kill it. Make sure you and your partner has Endure Magic if anyone can cast that in the group. Also for Enchanters, give your group or partner Charisma buff, I'm not 100% sure, but I've heard it helps resist charm. The only time I was charmed was when my charisma buff wore off. May just be coincidence. If your friend gets charmed, usually a level nuke or root/stun (color flux)combination can help break the charm. I'd suggest keeping one loaded with a group or partner.

Also You can sit just a bit between the eye and the end of the ramp (close to the ramp) and the roaming minos and muddites won't usually attack you.

I usually go with a Wizzie, we both bind behind the rock to the right when you enter the gorge. I empty all my backpacks and when they were full, port to Gfay, gate back to the minos when done. Sell and gate back, rinse repeat. You can easily make 300pp in a day, not counting the PBB's. Those sell easily for 100pp each on The Tribunal Server. Not sure what they'd sell somewhere else. Optic nerves are for Warrior bracer quest I think and those sell to vendor for a couple pp. Some people looking for them for quest items will give you up to 10pp each for them. BTW, I've camped this spot for days on end and never saw the King. Lord Soptyvyr is tough, VERY tough, and spawns about once every 8 hours or so on the platform between the two on the ground.

Just last night i was having a great time in BM, I camped the evil eyes for quite a while, the took the main mamma, soptyvr dropped a lense of soptyvr, or some type of lense, lore, nodrop...any idea what it's for?

I was camping the eyes last night, trying to score some pbb for my Necro, with my 32 Lvl SK. I had a great night. I was so laden with goodies that my wife logged her bard on and ran down to help me carry the stuff out. She is only 26 so I tilde her to stay in the main path till I had whacked the latest spawn. We were in the middle of transfering the loot when the eyes spawned again. I took them out and hurriedly finished the transfer. I knew the next spawn was not for at least another 4 minutes so I sat and started to med up. All of a sudden she yells at me "There's another one and it's on me!" I pop up and say no problem I'll whack it. Well I start hitting it and casually look up at my health bar and see that I have only 1 and a half health left. What the hell he hit me with? I'm gonna die! I conned it at that point and it was blue. I think Oh crap what is this thing? My wife wants to come back to help but I tell her to stay back. No sense in both of us dying if it charms me. I descide if I'm going I'm going out with a bang so I close and harm touch it. I then followed up with a series of Lifedraws and bashing the heck out of him. Lucky me all but one of my spells hit. When he went down I was at 2 and a quarter bulbs health, no manna, and a spent Harm touch. This is by no means an indication of an easy fight. He had me down to one quarter of a bulb when my Lifedraws started hitting. I picked up the lens, 3 plat, a jade ring, and an amber off him. Whew.. I looked at my poor beat up SK and descied I had tempted fate enough for one night and logged him.
