He does emote on his target for the 20k dd AE, but the timing can be off and it happens randomly. Sometimes he emotes and casts the AE instantly. Sometimes it happens a few seconds after the emote. The problem is you can't always run away fast enough.
Since the AE is only about 40' range from the target, it works best to just have everyone spread out more than 40' from the tank and each other (if possible). This usually keeps the damage limited to one person and doesn't wipe the group when it fires.
Killed him quite a few times and the augment seems to be the most common drop, followed by the h2h weapon, and the rings most rarely.

I've killed this named quite a few times (maybe 20 or more) and i've never seen the aug drop nor have i seen the rings. The only crap that drops for me is the monk/bst weapon and occasionaly clay.

He casts something called "Lava Spit" which hit most for 20076 (twice)....Could be a rear directional.... didnt take our tank... just all the casters and healers!

PH seems to only be firebugs the spawn points for lava beetles don't seem to spawn him, which kinda sucks cuz the same seems to hold true for the Deformed Firebug, so two named on the same ph spawns instead of one being firebugs and one being lavabeetles.
