Today on Aradune server he popped and was north of the eye/throne room. Nothing special, took about 2 hours and was the first named I saw in the zone when starting King camp.
I did as subject [some information]. I had a ranger on East Karana zone line killing and Wizard with a flux staff. I spent about 2 - 2.5 hours. Spinflint appeared in the middle gorge near the T. Also, I have noticed something during some of my pulls with the wizard. If you grab a bunch of the mobs.
I mean most of the zone and just wait there and let the beat you up, give them about a minute or two, the other mobs start to spawn as well.
The one night I grabbed mostly everything, letting the mobs beat on me for about 2 or 3 minutes. Then King Xorbb, Yymp the Infernal, and Brahhm came out to play.
Also, I had my ranger snare Spinflint and then grabbed my wizard to meet up with my ranger. Then I was sending tells if others want to join in for the flag. No one did. But in the process of waiting, Yymp the Infernal appeared and started beating on my ranger.
Please reply if this is a conformation because I have not seen any comments concerning this kind of stratagy to get the hunters to spawn.
Got this mob to spawn, no idea on a ph. I had been killing everything that walks by runny eye entrance. Once this guy spawned, I followed him for a while. His path was from approx. 1000 feet west of runny eye ( along the northern path) to runny eye, then south east passing by the karana fork to head northwest all the way past Sellernee and then east passing Brellgour turn - it did not turn towards Brellgur, but did stop just past that intersection. Then it returned the way it came until the karana fork, it went south partway, stopped for a moment, then back north, turned east and this time made the 2nd left (not towards the eyes, but the other dead end path) and stopped halfway, waited a moment, turned around and went back to where it started.
oh yeah edit - he was non-kos. and yes no faction hits as posted earlier
Funny enough, I got him on the same day as my first Xorbb. He was pathing up from the EK zone line, where I had been clearing minor muddites to trigger Xorbb. Dropped the Whirling Lapis Lazuli.
I run around killing muddite elders & minor. I use a pet and have it kill them as well. After doing this for awhile either Spinflint or Qlei will pop. I've been here 3 days & doing this got Spinflint to pop twice & same for Qlei. Good luck all.
The poster about him being stuck in the wall is correct, AoE lightning spell cast on myself brought him out....along with 12 minors & elders & 1 gobbie.
I found Spinflint! He's at 185.20, -833.31, 63.38. It appears that he has spawned inside the walls of the mountain. I was running through the gorge this morning, checking track as usual, and there he was! However, I could not find him, and finally located him inside the wall at that location. I have submitted a bug report on it.
I wonder about this NOT being a bug. To me, it makes sense that a rock-based creature might very well have the ability to go through/spawn inside/move around in rock walls. It might very well be that SoE designed it that way. Having never seen him in the gorge, I'll now go in with a tracker and give it a try. Thanks for coordinates, though maybe he's not a static spawn?
Trust me, this is not some roleplaying thing SoE did... its a bug.
Lavastorm Mountains also had the same problem with MoB's spawning in the geometry (as a result of some tinkering they did with spawn points right before they implemented the new engine). A few months ago I noticed in a patch that Lavastorm zone files had been re-downloaded... so I immediately ran over to the zone to find that the MoB spawns had indeed been fixed.
I hunt in Runnyeye regularly collecting Drops and Words/Pages - I was in the Gorge and noticed in the last month or so that mony more MoBs appear to be wandering the gorge now instead of being stuck in the walls...
Yay! No more AoE'ing myself :P

Have been trying to complete Renni's jewel collection with a 44 Ranger. I've been plowing through the Gorge, killing everything that moves (and some things that don't).
In the process I discovered two things:
1. It's possible for an Evil Eye to spawn outside of the area with the altar. It appears to spawn in the northernmost passage. I'm wondering if this is a placeholder for the King.
2. Roughly half of the creatures in this zone are unkillable because they have spawned inside the walls. As a Ranger with tracking I can pinpoint them. In fact I 'watched' (on track) a goblin veteran spawn in the north wall of the zone several times. Each time it despawned ('you have lost your target') within a minute or so, probably because it was completely outside the zone. But the mobs in the walls apparently don't despawn.
Why is this significant? Because if one of the mobs in the walls, who can't be targeted or attacked and thus can't be killed, is a PH for Spinflint, he will never spawn.
Another reason I think some of these mobs are so 'rare' is because the muddites are their placeholders, and very few people like to kill the muddites because of their blindness attack and their crappy loot (unless you're a potter).
May have to take a Bard in there and play an AoE damage song to see if I can coax any of these guys out of their cozy walls.
Had my ranger in zone for an hour or so kiling everythin on track when he came up on track. not sure where he spawned but dropped a whirling lapis lazuli for me. was really hoping for the stone needed for Rennis collection quest. Anyway first time I have seen him in here in 55 seasons,
I took a Whirling Jasper offa this guy just b4 LoY.....haven't seen him since. He spawned right near the EK hallway and headed North.....he didn't make it wherever he was goin.....
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has seen Spin spawn lately I have been camping maze for days on Brell with no luck the closest I have gotten was Yymp the Infernal
Spent 20+ hours in Gorge and finally saw Spin, while I was feigning death b/c I almost was. Caught up with him about 10 min. later and he dropped a whirling malachite :( If I wasn't on a pk server I wouldn't do Remmi's quest, but I am and I usually have the Gorge and a lot of dark blue MOBs to myself, at lvl 22.
For those who have seen this mob. Where does he spawn? Friends i've met in the game says he spawns in the other deadend, where a stone with a weird carving. And some says hes on the throne where the dead eyes are. So which is it guys.
saw this one while running through the gorge. I was on a CR and couldn't summon a pet to attack and MOB resisted almost all of my fire line of spells. Those not resisted were only 1/4 damage at most. I didn't see him spawn but he was wandering from the RE end towards EK zone. So much for a 22 mage meleeing this MOB :)

he was up after a patch about a month ago was farming the eyes at the time kill him drop a Whriling Diamond +4sv all, head slot couple weeks later killed him again drop diamond again then again yesterday i killed him got a whriling BD +10svall +30mana Headslot no-drop i killed him today got a +3int head
