I used Pysche's loc to find the room after applying it to my map. Cleared the whole room about 4 times... got Grai and Envoy Frindar to pop twice each. Secord Grai I got my chanty belt. Boxed a 95 pally with myself, 95 enchanter both with 4k AAs... was a little apperhesive after reading some of the 2010 posts but in 2012 this guy is cake.. I didn't even notice any AE mezz.... had a cleric merc and a rogue merc (J5s).. both wern't bothered by his spells either. Grai popped in 2 different spots so I assume he can pop anywhere in the room, Envoy Frindar only popped in the middle of the room. These were all light blue to me, hope this info helps someone getting their mem flux belt. After years of camping memory, this was on the super easy side imho.
Dropped him today. We had SK/BST/BRD/SHM + two mercs in group. We also had a berserker out of group boxed for dps. Five toons, three real people.
The SK is 85 with about 1200 AA, in a mix of boomerang/t6 and t7 clays/cultural, and a piece or two of MM gear, totaling out to about 40khp and 5.1k ac buffed (5.4k w/ tap.) The shaman and bard were basically in T5 sod gear. The beastlord was geared similarly to the SK. The bard was being played by someone very very not used to being a bard.
Our first run, the mez got us. We weren't expecting him to be as bad as he was, so we didn't full out burn. The zerker died early on, and a series of bad mezzes left us dead when the dude was at 10%. Our second run, since we realized we should probably burn, went much much better - he died with no real problems. The second (successful) run, all of us combined put out about 4500 DPS. If you remove the time we were mezzed, we would have been closer to 12kdps.
Grai's max hit was 9062 (on a swarm pet, so I presume uneffected by shielding etc.) His max hit people with maxed out shielding was 8375. He put out about 1200 dps during the time he was attacking the SK.
It's something of a luck game on beating the dude down before you get a bad run with mez, but if you have some DPS and some people who won't die the second the tank gets mezzed, Grai is really not too bad. I assume if you make an effort to dodge the mez (50 range means that if you were judicious about placement you probably wouldn't get as many people mezzed as we did,) it would be easier.
Don't even try to box this guy. 85 war/sham 2 merc healers. Gear stats ect doesnt matter how much you have because you cant do anything when your mezzed. Once tank is mezzed healers are killed before the 17 second charm is up. Thats a long long time for casters to tank and stay alive. Have killed this guy a few times easily with a mage and zerk added to the fight though. More the marrier.
Spawns in the first large room past the AC aug camp - The first room of hostile NPC's upon zoning in from BR when you head East. He has popped in numerous locations within this room.
Why don't people actually tell people how to get to a mob. The first room past the aug camp means absolutely nothing to someone unfamiliar with the zone.
